DALLAS – Abilene Christian men’s golf remained in 12th place following the second round of the Trinity Forest Invitational at Trinity Forest Golf Club on Monday. The Wildcats shot 2-under 286 in the second round to improve to 5-over 581 overall.
ACU is four strokes back of North Texas and Sam Houston, both tied for 10th place, as South Alabama used a 16-under 272 second round to rise to the top of the leaderboard.
Thomas Buisson continued to lead the Wildcats in a tie for 22nd place at 3-under 141 with his second consecutive round under par at 2-under 70. He shot 1-under 35 on the front and back nine with four birdies.
Tres Hill logged an even-par 72 for the second round in a row, staying consistent with even par on the front and back nine with two total birdies. He tied for 35th at an even-par 144.
Jack Hollingsed recorded the best round amongst ACU golfers on Monday, firing 3-under 69 to rise 21 spots into a tie for 42nd place at 1-over 145. He notched six birdies with a 3-under 33 on the back nine.
Grégoire Hoyeau carded a 4-over 76 for the second consecutive round to tie for 78th place at 8-over 152, while Colin Leonard registered a 3-over 75 to tie for 84th at 10-over 154.
Preston Cooper, competing as an individual, shot an even 72 with four birdies to tie for 35th with Hill.
