Molly Goc of Columbus had the best round in the rain Monday during Class A’s district tournaments.
Goc’s 3-over 75 on her hometown course, Elks Country Club, led Naryn Kim and Eden Larson from Lincoln Southwest — two more of the favorites in next week’s Class A state tournament at Riverside Golf Club in Grand Island — in District A-3.
In the pre-district standings, Kim was first, Larson third and Goc fourth.
Kim, a freshman, missed most of September with an injury. She placed fourth at the HAC meet at Riverside last Friday and shot 76 at Elks. Larson, the two-time defending champion, had a 79.
Columbus won the team title with a four-golfer score of 350. Abigail Jensen was fourth for the Discoverers.
Ellen Bode of Elkhorn South won A-4 at Meadowlark Hills in Kearney with a 4-over 75. On their home course, the Bearcats won the team title with a 354.

Defending champion Omaha Marian and new Metro Conference champion Omaha Westside won their districts away from home.
Marian shot 328 at Mahoney in Lincoln, where Lincoln East sophomore Tasha Kolbas was medalist with a 77. Delaney Schmitz’s 79 was the only score under 80 for Marian.
Westside fired a 322 at Norfolk Country Club, led by district champion Addison Benge’s 76. Chloe DiPrima was second with an 80. Audrey Nielsen and Kendall Lauritzen tied for fourth at 83.
Norris and Scottsbluff locked horns in District B-1 at Pioneers in Lincoln. Norris won the team title by a stroke over the Bearcats, whose Addison Peck prevailed in a playoff with the Titans’ Natalie Shield for individual honors.
Avery Peter’s winning 77 led Elkhorn North to the B-2 title at Grand Island’s Jackrabbit Run.
Class C winners were Mia Hiebner of Heartland/Hampton in C-1, Kyla Taylor of team champion Columbus Scotus in C-2 and Tierney Miller of team champion Valentine in C-5. Sutton was the C-1 team champion.
