SANTA ANA PUEBLO, N.M. – The No. 4 Texas A&M women’s golf team is set to compete in the NB3 Match Play at Twin Warriors Golf Club Oct. 7-8 for its first match play action of the season.
The Aggies look to continue their record breaking start to the season, having won both titles at the Carmel Cup and Fields of Honor Collegiate to begin the year.
The Lineup
Head Coach Gerrod Chadwell is bringing a lineup that consists of Cayetana Fernandez Garcia-Poggio, Vanessa Borovilos, Scarlett Schremmer, Louise Reau, Brynn Kort and Natalie Yen.
Headlining the group is Fernandez Garcia-Poggio who owns a 3-1 collegiate career record in match play events and Natalie Yen who won the 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship this past summer.
Gaining her first collegiate match play experience will be Schremmer who made her debut at the Carmel Cup and tied for 23rd. Borovilos is making her third appearance this season and is ranked No. 44 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Rounding out the lineup is Reau making her debut as an Aggie after transferring from Georgia Southern where she was a two-time Sun Belt Golfer of the Year, and Brynn Kort who was runner-up at the Folds of Honor Collegiate
The Format
Texas A&M begins match play with 36 holes Tuesday, taking on New Mexico at 8:30 a.m. and New Mexico State at 1:00 p.m. The Maroon & White also play 18 holes against Arizona in the final match Wednesday. Tuesday’s action is set to be broadcast 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Golf Channel, while Wednesday’s match will be televised 3:30-6:30 p.m. Live stats for the event can be followed here.
All matches will be five versus five with first team to three points earning the victory. The tournament is a round robin format with all three programs guaranteed to play each other.
