They discounted the rate because they punched the greens last week.

Nice course, normally 4,500 bht or about $140 USD. $3200 bht and they told me before I paid!

  1. Should be mandatory to disclose this at time of booking

  2. Punched greens or not, this looks like it’s in great shape.

Beautiful! Did they have decent clubs to rent? I’m going to be there in April.

Thailand and “you won’t believe what happened” could go in many different directions.

Should I play golf in Thailand? Phuket, why not

Red Mountain! Beautiful course, but damn i swear I was kinda over the humidity by the 13th hole… As another commenter said – also have a look at Blue Canyon if you get the chance, another stunningly maintained championship course.

I’m still not sure what happened?

  11. Best South African accent: “Alright bros, now here I’ll use my 4 iron and just play safe, there’s trouble left and right and I don’t want to put myself in a bad situation. Just leave ego at the door”

I lost three balls just *looking* at pic 2. Beautiful course though, so worth it.

You won’t believe what those thai hookers can do with a golf ball

The hole in that 2nd picture looks awesome. Options off the tee. You can go with driver/3 wood, which brings a lot of trouble into play, but if you execute the shot, you’re going to have an easy little wedge in at a good angle. If you decided to play the safer tee shot to the wide fairway, you’re now left with a shot that is all forced carry over the water, with a tough angle into the green.

Love holes that require you to come up with a game plan like that. From that hole alone, I can tell the architect knows what he’s doing. Who designed it?
