Final weight, final bout of the 2025 World Championships. And it’s a good way to go out. A gold medal. The Islamic Republic of Iran in the red. Amir Ali Aar Pira taking on the United States Kyle Snider. 29year-old in hunt of his fourth world championship. [Music] I think the big difference with Azapira is at the Olympics. He just made the change to that weight category. It wasn’t naturally a 97 kilo guy. And looking at the size of him now, you can see he’s bulked up. He’s put on a lot of size ready for this weight class. Pira fully healthy. He was dinged up a little bit after Paris. Olympic bronze medalist spent some time training really building the body back up. Spent time away from the mat all prepping for this run that he has enjoyed. He forecasted it. He saw this type of run. And now can he handle Snider? He’s too familiar with one another. Get ready to watch six minutes of heavy ties and heavy clubbing of the hands on the neck from these two because that’s what they love to do in these matches. For the 97 kilos, he’s actually quite short, so his center of gravity is very low, so he’s hard to get under on the legs. Snider coming right back after the whistle with his under hook. Referee says wrestle. 5 seconds to go. Will the step out be the difference as our in on a shot? Snider being driven near the edge. Time expires. Snider hangs on. A 3-2 win.
