While the golfing community in Singapore is still growing, the island nation is bustling with expansive golf courses. With the news of course closures causing a stir within the community in July 2025, aspiring pro golfers and recreational players alike are on the lookout for locales in which they can continue to hone their craft. Here are some of the best golf courses in Singapore today, plus the state of their current land leases.

In line with Singapore’s growing golf community, the city state boasts some of the best golf courses in Asia, venues that have played host to many storied events.

Singapore’s importance on the golfing map is evident. Notably, the Sentosa Golf Club is one of the two stops on the LIV Golf calendar in Asia. In its endeavour to deepen the connection, the Asian Tour also revived the Singapore Open as part of its International Series, and the Singapore Island Country Club will play host to the USD 2 million (HKD 1,56,54,119) tournament this November.

However, the matter of land continues to drive significant change in the golfing landscape of Singapore today. With a growing population and need for redevelopment, authorities have been faced with a difficult decision: to renew leases on some of the country’s golf courses, or to reassign the land for developmental purposes. The results of these deliberations have been met with mixed reactions thus far. However, despite ambiguity on what lies ahead, the country’s golfing legacy continues to be celebrated. Here are some of the best golf courses to play in Singapore.
