This Golf Course Has COWS and SHEEP On The Fairways!
All right, guys. So, we’ve got a big one today. Right. This is a course that I’ve been wanting to play for 20 years, right? We’re up in the Scottish Highlands. This is episode two of the hidden gems series. And we’re at Bora Golf Club today. So, this is one of the most unique natural golf courses I think you’re ever going to see. I I don’t actually know much about this place. I haven’t watched any course vlogs. I haven’t done anything. But we were sitting looking at the 18th green and there’s an electric fence around the green because out here they’ve got cows, sheep that just roam freely through the golf course. So they have to put these little fences up to stop them going on the greens and destroying the green. So it’s incredible. So this is going to be fun. Me and Scott are going to play match play today. We enjoyed the hospitality a little bit too much in golf last night. So um not feeling too fresh. So we thought we’ll do match play to keep it a little bit lighter. So I hope you enjoy guys. Right. [Music] one. That’s Oh my god. Wonderful. I’m hitting it so pathetically. [Music] I could fall head first into this bunker. That’s all. [Music] Yes. [Music] It’s a hell of a view for a first day this guys. So 300 yard par4 dog leg round to the right. I’ve been told just to chop an iron down. So, six iron to the corner and go from there. Not feeling too fresh, I’m not going to lie. First T- shot with an iron in your hand. Yeah, I’m nervous. What a backdrop. Oh dear, I’m in trouble today. Yeah. Did you see what happened there? Look, my tea caught a ball yesterday. Caught a ball yesterday. But wait till you see what happened yesterday, guys. You need to watch the video from Forros yesterday. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. It was in a bunker, thinned down at the face. It hit my club and then I ended up catching it. Unbelievable. Oh, lovely. It’s a lot of left, right movement on that, but nice. Very nice. Yep. I can’t uh What a beautiful first day this is. I can’t I’m so excited for this one, guys. I really really can’t wait for this. Oh, Christ almighty. I need to see that. Six. Is that right? 60 65 yards to the pin. Very short hole. Little uh What’s your handicap got? Six and M plus three. So, nine shots. I’m going to get rinsed. Yeah. So 65 yards to the pin. Short’s no good, Allan. No, looks nice. No spin. Poor contact, but it’s a decent shot. It’s fine. Scott back in his natural habitat here. It’s actually a decent T-shot. It’s just not a driver hole. Everything kicks left. Don’t actually know this. What club is that? Pitching wedge. Oh my. What are you doing? I was just going to try and land something in. I don’t I don’t know what I’m going to be doing. Clearly. Oh, he’s played one though. That’s Oh my god. Go in the hole. That’s what I’m doing. That is That is what I’m doing. I have never seen you play a shot like that ever. Thank you. Ever. Ever. Ever. That’s what I meant. There is genuinely an electric fence around the greens. So, you need to pay attention. I didn’t hear anything from you, so I just thought I’d bring my putter up. Oh, no. That’s good. It’s good. Of course it is. That’s good. Thank you. Right. [Laughter] So this for the half big break from left to right. I mean this is moving four feet. Jeez. Tough putt. Break. Break. Oh no break. Maybe it isn’t moving 4 ft after all. Good start. One down already. It’s not a bad part to start though, is it? No, it’s fine. But just when you’re playing a player like myself. Yeah, just playing a stud like you. Right. Scott and the T first here. Second hole. 344. A little bit of a dog leg to the right. I I think if the rough was up, which apparently it’s not, you would just hit an iron down here cuz the fairway splits in two, but we’re both just hitting driver. Oh, that’s that’s not what I want to be seeing. Imagine how different you swing it when the trouble’s on the right instead of on the left. You’re a big hooker. Oh, that sounds terrible, doesn’t it? No offense. Oh, no. Just shut up. No offense to hookers. Just Just hit me. What a view. Brilliant. I’m away to be part of it as well. No, not today. Yeah, boy. Never saw it. It’s just left edge of the green. Scott missing another fairway. Me up there in the fairway again. Hopefully it’s the same result. Yeah. Well, no. Oh, go. Not bad on the green. Yeah, not great, but not bad. Take that. We hit fairways.com. Absolutely. What would you play here? Like a little 50. Run it up. 50. Run it up. Yeah, definitely. I think I’m going to go 50 as well. I got hit 54 there. But never have an electrical fence in your way though. I know. I take it you get to replay your shot if you hit it. All right. I mean, if I hit this then that’s that’s my fault if I hit this to be fair. Not the fence. That looks tasty. Oh, go. Not hard enough. I didn’t quite catch it to be honest. Lovely line, too. That was crap. All right. But the last time I used this club, I duffed it, so I was in my head a little bit. Oh well. Two birdie chances indeed. Birdie putt for Scott. Yeah. First put of the day. Very nervous. That birdie birdie. I’m just going in. That’s bizarre. I would have sworn that would go hard left. Lovely put though. Pick it up. Do you get a shot here? Uh, I don’t know, mate. We’ve decided. What did you say for shots? Six. Six, I think, is fair. It’s a short course. It’s quite a short course and frankly, no shot. I don’t think the match would last very long if I gave him nine shots. I don’t know if Scott gets a shot here. So, I don’t know if I need to charge this or not. Eh, no shot. No shot. Good. Oh, that’s good. Oh, it’s a hard putt. Like it went right and then back left at the end. I thought it was good for though. Yep. Decent start. This place is cool, right? Third hole. Scott still one up. 445 yd par four this. So I think this is stroke index one. So Scotty gets a shot here. Oh beautiful. Where did that come from? I was trying so hard to hit a fade. Why? heavy at the flag that I can’t see. I don’t really know where it’s going to go anyway, so I’ll just hit it and see. That is beautiful. Never saw it. Right on the flag. Is it lovely? Absolutely gorgeous. Can’t play today. Just need to go out and get drunk more often. Do I honestly think what do you honestly think you can reach one iron from here? 227 or whatever it was. Uh, no. But if it’s a little bit short and I’m just pitching up, I’m cool with that. T-shot’s not going very far, is it? No. T-shots went 200 yards and I’m trying to hit five iron from 235. Just another driver, mate. It’s a good effort. It’s come out pretty hot, too. Good shot. Well, I think it’s a good shot. I don’t know what’s up there. Oh dear. What? Bunker. Bunker. Right. 145. It’s a nice green. This looks like a difficult green though. Looks like anything short and right, it’s going a little funnel. Filter funnel. It’s going to go in that massive bunker at the front. So, pitching wedge a little left of it. Counting this as a fairway hit. Oh, left bit. Hopefully it’s over the I mean, it’s kind of nice to see the ball going left, but not that far left. Straight in. Hopefully, it’s not plugged. Oh, hopefully it’s not as bad as the one yesterday. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Trying so hard not to hit it right, but it worked. Oh, what I’ve done to the gods of bunkers. But two greenside bunkers I’ve been in so far on this trip. And I didn’t actually think it could get any worse than the one yesterday, but it has. Look at the actual state of that. Do you know what? It’s one of them, right, where don’t you have to laugh or cry. There’s just there’s no there’s no scenario where you could get annoyed by that. Do you know what I mean? Cuz look at the absolutely I can see I don’t even know how you do this, mate, but I’m looking forward to I could fall head first into this bunker. But see if you get it up and down. Wow. Good grief. I can’t actually get my hands. The the thing’s in the way. Oh, right. Need to go steeper. That was a really close effort, by the way. I’m sorry to say, but that’s it. I can’t stand that. Like, it’s an easy bunker shot if you’re not there. Oh my god, what a bar. Wow. That was nearly the best part on in YouTube history. It’s very, very, very soft sand. Like, you can see why the ball plugs. Yeah, you could have that one, my friend. Thank you. You don’t deserve any worse than a bogey. No. Right. Good recovery shot from Scotty here. He’s been kind enough to give me that six or seven footer for a bogey out of sympathy. I think it don’t don’t deserve more. I mean, it was a bad break, but it was also a bad shot. So, my fault. So, three putts to win the hole. Maybe he just needs one. Go on. I pick it up. Good enough. So, Scott’s two up after three. This is not the start I was after. Right. Fourth hole. Uh, just about drivable this, I think. I don’t know if Scott can quite get there, but I think I I do not have the facilities for that. Facilities. When are you just going to accept you just can’t hit a fade and just stick to your big I wasn’t trying to fade it. I was just trying to hit it normal. Mhm. Well, all I know is there’s one that’s one under par and there’s one of that’s one overpar and I’m not the one that’s overpower. There’s one of us that could barely see his ball for his last shot over there. There’s somebody down there. I think they’re flying a kite. Are they? Yeah, they are. No. Oh, criy. Is that fun? Right. No, you’re okay. So, after about 10 minutes of looking, we found Scott’s ball. So, he should be disqualified from this hole, but I’ve let him off. I’m quite happy that we could just hit it anywhere off his teeth. Simply uh 80 yards little 54 short maybe and run it up jank. Yeah, like that. Oh dear. What’s going on here? Don’t clap him. Okay, just on the right side here with Danny Boy. Terrible T-shot. I’ve been last I haven’t I said yesterday in the video I haven’t played a lot of golf and I’m I’m just feeling when I don’t play I just get very stuck and underneath it and hit it miles right. So I’ve not got much of a shot here. I need to try and land this I think short of the green and run it up that slope at the front. Come on man. Let’s see some magic. That is fantastic. sit down. Kind of hard to do a whole lot better than that from there, isn’t it? Yeah, it’s run out, but really good effort. Yeah, it was a good shot. Right, so Scott hit a great shot in there to three or four feet. I’m not giving him it, though. Uh, so this is probably going to have to go in or I’m three down after four. Lovely. just didn’t really break. Didn’t move it. That’s good. Thank you. Oh, that’s why you don’t give them. Pick it up. Funny if it was a shot hole and it didn’t matter. Yeah, but I was actually thinking over it. That’s the first putt I’ve had the whole this round. You know what I mean? That That’s good. You can pick that one up. No, I know. I’m taking it, but I just want to have a putt. Sorry, Scott’s Morning there. I’m getting help on the hole in Scott’s morning. So, here he goes. 428 yards and you’re hitting an iron. Interesting. Good. Yeah. So, there’s a barn out there, which is why Scott was hitting an iron, but yes, I don’t. I’m two down and I’m hitting driver. I don’t know if I’ve got 360 in the air in the locker. That guy’s in the green over there. See? Yeah. No, it’s it’s more it’s more where it needs to finish that I need to know. Like, is that is it on those trees? Yeah. H maybe just not quite as far to right in the edge and come in a little bit left. Okay. kick to the right. Is that a little too far right? It’s just on uh the right edge of that sort of hut out there or shed, whatever you want to call it. That’s where the water goes out that way. What a backdrop. That is a beautiful place. Yeah. So Scott’s in the fairway, but he’s a long long long way back. Yeah. 223. He could have done with at least another couple of clubs off that TE, but it’s always difficult when you don’t you haven’t played a course. You just don’t really know where you’re going, where the trouble is. Go four iron. If it’s a little short, hopefully it’ll just be a little pitch on. Yeah. Oh. Uh Scott almost missed the ball. It’s up there somewhere. It was nearly nearly one of those unfortunately. It was one of those that we don’t mention. Uh 120 yards. Got 50. I take it I can land a shot and run it down. Yeah. Right. Okay. I have no idea where I’m going here. So, we’ll just hit it and hope. Go. What? I just It came out weird, didn’t it? Just came out crappy. Oh, actually, look. Yeah. Put it right on the top of the club face. Brilliant. It’s I forgot how difficult it is playing a golf course for the first time, especially one that’s as quirky and funky as this one with the humps and hollowos and blind shots and that. We’re having a hard time navigating oursel around here. Um, yes, we are. Am I going or you? Uh, you could go camera. So, so this is an interesting shot. That’s all I can see. I don’t even know where the pin is. Nothing. So, and hope. No idea. Looked great. Looked pretty good. Yeah. So Scott’s got a very similar problem to me here. Can’t see anything. Don’t know how far it is, even where the pin is. Oh no, that’s miles. Is it? I have no idea. I don’t know. Can’t see anything. Long maybe. Yeah, I think so, mate. Okay. Well, getting up to the green. Me and Danny were quite clearly aiming in the wrong place. Oh dear. Up and down. Take a five and run. I think it’s just so firm. So, first electric shock of the day there for me. Forgot the fence was there. Lovely part. Is it in? Stop there. One more row. No. No. I got 10 seconds. I got Look where I’m joking. I’m jeez. Great. But thank you. So full par three. Beautiful. Beautiful par three. I’ll see if I can actually zoom in here to the green. Beautiful green complex. Really nice. Hold this. So, Scott is now three up. Is that right? I think so, mate. Yeah. Brilliant. Probably doesn’t help that I’m hitting it like an idiot like I was yesterday. So, I don’t know about you, Danny. I’ve got five. I am. I’ve got seven. 188 is flagged. Yeah. Just long looks better than short, doesn’t it? Let’s be honest. Yeah, good shot. Yeah. Okay, Donnie with the seven ear on. Try and hit a golf shot. Come on. It’s nice, mate. What’s going on? Felt like a good swing. Hit it good and it’s just gone nowhere. Tough par three. This very, very difficult small target. Anything landing even two, three yards on the green, it’s going to come all the way back off the front here. Oh my god. Yeah, that’s good, mate. Give that to Tom. Wow. Oh, I thought I was in. Was in. Good three, though. It’s a difficult difficult part three. Yeah. Lovely shot in from Scott here, but it looks I haven’t had a proper look, but it looks like a difficult part. Yeah. I don’t know what on earth. Downhill, right to left, going up a ridge, and then back over. Just trying to put and get out of here. No break. Pick it up. Good. Three. It’s quick. Eh. Yeah, that was uh difficult. Oh, cows. Oh, some bad camera work there. That’s Allan. Cows. Allan. Right. Seventh hole. Look at that for a backdrop. I mean, even Scott looks good with that backdrop. Uh, still three up to Scotty boy, unfortunately. I should have played off scratch today. Give me a chance. Uh, fivewood. Yeah, there’s a barn down there. So, 350 yards, but there’s a barn at about 270. Danny knows fivewood was not the club yesterday. No. That is a big old hook. That looks good. Yep. Good job. Right. Sevenwood. Someone on the ball. Excuse me. I’m trying to play golf here badly. Very high. Very high. Yeah, it was a little bit underneath it again, but it’s fine. Yeah, I was just wandering in the wood, right? 110 yards. I need to get all of this. Looks good, mate. Looks really good. That is just a lovely golf shot. Thank you. Finally. Right. Nice T- shot from Scott. Just off just off the fairway, but he’s got a great angle in here. Better angle than I had. 98 yards. 98. Yeah. 54. Oh, no. Oh, it’s very strange. I’ve been I’ve done that a couple of times yesterday as well. Chunky. It’s actually like Well, no wonder. I don’t know. I don’t know if it’s It’s like I’m getting in dead steep and just dumping the club. Well, look at the divot. Look at the actual divot. Hang on a minute. Look. You’re halfway to Australia there. Look at that. All right. Scott played a pretty bad second shot there. So, he shot at the green. Yeah. Not ideal. I was going to stand behind him and get the angle there, but the fence is too close. I want to get shot again. Beautiful second shot for myself there. Oh, that’s not even inside my second shot. Oops. Just finishing off a sweet there, guys. Sorry about that. Scott with a putt for par. Yeah, we’ll get to your shot eventually. That’d be nice if you give me a shot at some point. Oh, big break on that. Jeez. Thought I had quite a decent pot there. So, mine’s good then. It is indeed. He wins a hole. Finally. Oh, just turned that round. Right, first par five. Uh, completely utterly blind T-shot. I can’t I have no idea where the hole even goes here. So, been told to hit it at those trees in the distance, the edge of them. Very nice. Better. Very nice. I hope this doesn’t keep up cuz I’ll be in trouble coming back. That was in the air for a long time, was it? Yep. Yes, it was. Oh, by the way, I meant to say what? Port rush pole. The one you bought me Port Rush. Oh, that’s the first time I’ve seen it. There you go. Scott’s birthday last week, everyone. So, I bought him a top in Port Rush. I mean, I didn’t know at the time. He basically bought himself a top and it turned out I was paying for it as a birthday present. But there you go. Nice top. Lovely top, mate. Thank you. Should have said I’ve got a Port Rush top with me as well. We could have teamed up. The one two Port Rush crew. One to the Port Rush crew. I’ll beat you that day as well. Thanks. Oh, that’s nice. No hook. That was better. Fairway, guys. Come on. Dear. Lovely drive from Scott here. Although there is a pretty medium-sized village between my T-shot and his up there. Yeah, you hit yours. Lovely. M. We’ll zoom in on way way down there. Look at that. And the fairway as well. Okay. 230. 230. Fivewood. Oh, that better not work out. That was god awful. Sorry. Oh, come on. How far have you got? 170. Just the 60 yards that time, Scott. I I towed it a little bit as well. Okay. I mean, you hit it considerably further than me. Well, you’re 7T tall. Anyway, 170. I don’t really know. It looks like it feeds in a little bit from the right, so not that I’ve got enough control of where my ball’s going today. Anyway, so eight iron. Oh, be as good as you look. Oh, a little right. Oh, lovely shot though. I thought it might. Yeah, I thought so, too. Kick a little left on the green, but no, it took Look, it’s four good shots in a row. Well, five if you include the par three. I was just a bit surprised that came up short, but all good. So Danny’s just walked up onto the green there expecting that to be his ball. That’s my ball. And Danny’s actually hit his eight iron like a little girl. There’s something weird going on in my golf swing just now cuz like contactwise that was good and it’s just gone nowhere. Oh, I’m gutted. I don’t understand why that’s gone so short. And I don’t understand how Scott’s awful golf shot is 20 ft away for eagle. Just not right. Not morally right. It’s actually not. Yeah. Great pop net. Go. I thought that was going to release up a little bit more than that. That’s good, my man. Thanks. Quite generous. I’ll take it. We’re on holiday, M. Back up. Mhm. There should be some sort of penalty in golf for hitting a terrible shot and getting a good result for it. That’s just to get to two under. Unbelievable. Awful shot. Oh, hit it good though. D it up. I thought I gave it some too. I don’t know if this is a stroke hole or not. Is it? What hole is this? Stroke hole. Brilliant. Back to three then. It’s the right club, right? Lovely little par three. This 145 yards to the pin. A little bit crosswind. So, I don’t think pitching wedge is quite enough. So, I’m going to hit a little nine. Plus, I’m hitting it like a little girl today. It’s got to wind’s got to bring that back. No, I’m hitting it so pathetically. Yeah. I thought Can’t stand it. Can’t stand hitting the ball like can’t stand you. I can’t stand myself either, mate. It’s all right. Yeah, you’re sort of putting the fear of God into me with how bad you are. I’m just setting it very very weak. Yeah. Okay. 80 on. Come on. A little left. A little short as well by the looks of it. Yeah. Fine though. Well, Danny, at least you’re consistent, mate. Yeah, consistently awful. 145 yards. I can’t even reach with a nine iron. Pathetic. Oh, this putt looks spicy. I’ve got issues here. Is that like almost at that have to move that? Is that almost at that red box? Yeah, maybe even more. Jesus. I honestly think it’s like up here. That is some effort. Please go in. What a pot that is, mate. Well done. Thanks. For what you’re lacking in golf ability, you’re getting rimmed. Okay. 15 ft of break. Nice par. Thanks. All right, Scotty boy. Just off the green. It’s actually closer than I thought. It’s pretty decent. Yeah, it didn’t look this good off the tea. No. Chance for birdie little not a little left. Broke up the hill almost there. It’s still two then. Yeah. Take a par. Right. 10th hole. So we start back in now. Is it basically just straight in? One hole. Yeah. So we’re a long long long way from the clubhouse. Um, really not h it good, but here we are. Yeah, really not hitting it good. I I just tried to clear a little bit better there. I’m just getting really underneath and it I hate it. I hate the feeling. Yeah, must be nice. Driving’s actually been all right. The irons have been dreadful. Okay. Is that a railway line? Right. Is that an active railway line? Yeah. Huh? Here we go. All right. Just haven’t seen one go by since we teed off. Oh, right. Yeah. Oh. Hi Fedsman. What is going on? So now I’m hitting up the left and you’re up the right. Scott and the Munch here up the right hand side. Quite unusual for you to be up the right actually. Yeah, I’m not not liking the look of the shot. 190 back into wind. Wind. Don’t know if it’s going to jump. Wind. Well, yeah. Whatever breeze there is there, it’s into. It should jump out of that definitely. Sexy on a toe banged it. Oh, just please keep running. See if that chases up onto the green. I am done. Actually a bit sore. How far have we got Ly 129 Lon? Another fairway hit. I’ve actually driven it. Okay, it is the iron play has been shockingly bad. Gap wedge should be a perfect number if I’m hitting it properly. So, this will probably come up 20 yards shot today. Come on, mate. Looks good. Looks really good. Oh my god. Go in. Go in. In. Oh, lovely. M. Let’s go. That was better. That was better. Exactly. Got just short of the green here. Done a lot better than it deserved. That was nasty to watch. A little bit chunky. Yeah, not bad. I just didn’t want to say anything until it finished in case it ended up good. I’m I’m used to you hitting crap shots that end up good. It’s fine. You got a shot here. Yeah. Yeah. Brilliant. Big pot for the match. This one it is. Yeah. I don’t think he’s playing enough here. Yeah. Now, I actually just said on camera, I don’t think you’re playing enough break here. It was always snapping. Do you think it was I didn’t think it was snap snapping, but you were wrong. Clearly, it did. I just to win the helmet. That’s to win the hole. Come on. Big big put. Big put. Big put. It just felt like a harder putt than yours because it felt like mine’s just going to go a little bit right early and then come back, but it didn’t. Thank you. Such an easy putt. Why am I so bad? Right, part five. 497 yards. So, good body chance. Um, yeah, that’s it. Yeah, that simple. Aim left, fade it. Oh, what a strike, by the way. Absolutely munched that. But it’s just straight 40 left. That was better, though. I saw it, man. That was unbelievable. Yeah, that was that was by far the best strike of the day. Yes, that was hot 40. I’m not going to lie. Right, if you look on camera, there’s loads of bund the right hand side and I was scared. I was scared. I’m a scared man these days. I wasn’t through the summer. I played some nice golf. Not as nice as me and my bear though. Did you? Well, I mean, I shot a bogey free three under par and made up two shots cuz you’re a bandit and you came in and said you played terrible. Come on. This is what happens when you’ve got a guy that could play off scratch that actually gets six or seven shots. We hit fairways.coms. Oh. Oh. Amazing how much freer you swing the club when there’s no trouble left. It’s amazing, isn’t it? We hit fair. And as we go trapesing through the jungle, we see Daniel in his natural trailing around 194. It looks like a half decent lie. It’s funny, huh? The guys that are hosting us said there’s no rough out here. You can just blast it around anywhere. But me and Scott seem to have found a fair bit of it. Couple of sheep in the way. Where are we? Oh, dumb. Bloody hell. Wellies when I play with you. Oh, I was actually in a pile of [Laughter] Yeah, you can move it. No, of course you can. I’m not hitting my ball out of a pile of crap. Picking it up out the feces. Yeah, there. Nice lie. Right. 190. What did I say? 190 something. 194. 94. Right. Come on. Let’s go. Right over the sheep’s head. Body turning there. fade. Uh, no, the flag’s right to that, but it looks like a big ridge short, so I have no idea. I’m just going to hit it. Nine iron. Oh no. Oh no. Oh, didn’t didn’t fancy that. Oh dear. Well, it’s advantage Scott after my effort there, wasn’t it? Brilliant live, but that was a pathetic effort. Got like maybe 220 or something. Just got four iron. See where that goes. Oh, what a strike that is. Lovely. Left edge of the green. Maybe that was miles better. That was much better. Yeah, good. Happy for you. Pretty tricky shot you’ve got left here, Scotty boy. See this? It’s not ideal. Very severe downs slope. Not too bad. Just I was trying to land maybe half that distance. Yeah, bad. All right, birdie putt for Scott. So, two pots to win the hole. So, back to three down again. That is so unbelievably that is I can’t even say it. I can’t see. No, you can’t say it. You’re right. Oh, and it must be terrible winning the hole there. Right, 12th hole. Scots back to three up, unfortunately. And we’ve got a couple of stragglers just How do people think they can just walk across the fairway when these people wait to te off? I don’t know, but I’m going to blast one right over their heads. Bet you don’t. How? He’s scared. I know. He’d have been better hitting when they were up the right. Yeah, good shot. Daniel’s out with the two on. Love this. Had a couple of nice ones with us yesterday. D it. Did I? Yeah. I don’t think I did. I had a semi shank on one hole in that bush. Oh, did you? Yeah. I wish I hadn’t. Let’s not see that. Let’s just see one. Yeah, that would be far from ideal. Probably a bit more fed than you’d like. I’m just swinging it. Terrible, Scott. I I I’ve haven’t got a clue what I’m doing over the ball. It’s horrendous. But when you’re not playing well, mate, you still need to be able to get it rammed and that’s what you’re doing. I’m trying. Right, Scotty. Just Yeah. A little bit off the fairway, but fine. Nice T-shot. 84. Brilliant angle, though. Is it really? No, but it’s just a little half wedge, isn’t it? So, should be able to stop. Okay. See that like a tour pro? Well, let’s see it then. That’s the turbo. Something weird going on with your wedges. Like that’s not too bad, but it’s it’s not how you normally Oh, where’s that gone? Where did that go? Is that on the green? Yas. 55 wind. I mean, it’s not a lot, but a little bit hurt for a pretty full 58. I like it, mate. Let’s see one. That looks really good. Go a little bit. Go. Try and zoom in. Just just a little bit short, but not bad. Thought you were closer than this, Scotty boy. Yeah, I did, too. It’s got the ridge and came down the slope a bit. It’s okay, though. Birdie pot. Two pots. Get out of here. Apart from the line and the pace, that was pretty good. Wow. Get that for a pot. Jeez. Okay, Danny for birdie pitch mark. I got it. Oh, thank you, sir. Right on the ball. You can tell you car. Yeah. Decided. So, all right. Even better. Right. Birdie putt. Haven’t really had a look at this yet. It looks like it wants to go a little bit left. Yeah. A little bit right to left. Come on. Come back. Oh, it’s snapped left. Wow. Hard to read. Good enough. Did not see that much. Oh, six. Seven. Right. So this to stay. Is this a shot hole? No. No. Good. Oh, got me in the camera there. What are you doing? You don’t know how to aim point. What is happening with this camera, Scott? What’s going on? There we go. We’re back. Oh, didn’t actually see that going left. Did you? I think I’m No, it does go left. Eye. All right. But I think I maybe just ever so slightly pulled it. Right back to two in the match. I have to say I’m loving this golf course. It’s quality. It’s maybe not, you know, as challenging or as dramatic as some, but the views and the layout is just beautiful. So, 109 into the wind. Uh, little gap wedge. Let’s try and hit a golf shot. Yeah, that looks like it’s there. Is that a little bit past it? Maybe just a touch, but it was gorgeous. That was decent. Yeah. Pressure applied there. Coming for you. Got the standard here. See if I can zoom this in. I don’t want to see Scott. God, that’s horrible. Look at that. What have you got, Scott? Got wedge. He’s laying up. That’s enough. Like, I think you’ve got to get every bit of it. It’s playing like 120. At least 120. You think so? Yeah. I hit that gap wedge pretty good and pretty hard. Okay, I won’t let my ego get in the way. I’ll just trust you and hit a soft mine. I know why I’m helping you. Pretty stupid. Your gut wedge level nine. Come on. Right in that bunker. That was so bad. It’s okay. Very forgiving clubs these days, eh? I mean, how was that on the green? Yeah. Oh, that’s not good. No. Well, your putt’s going to be about a millisecond then. Come on, mate. Give it a good roll. Right. Birdie putt. That’s to get back to one down. How’s this happened? It’s a bit uncalled for, isn’t it? As Edmondund would say, how would you feel? Speed maybe just a little bit firm. A little bit. Yeah. Take a par though. Lovely hole. Beautiful. Yeah. Really good paras here. Am I still two down? Yeah. Still two in it. This what hole is this 14? So this hole is called no laying up. Uh so basically the story goes that no layup came here and one of the guys got a hole in one on this hole a par4 so they decided to sponsor the hole. There you go. Uh driver try well may as well try and knock it in the hole and then I’ll How much did they pay? 300 I’ll give you 301 if I knock it in the hole. I’ll give you 301 quid to sponsor it if I knock it in the hole. Like if I can find my ball after this I’ll be quite happy to be honest. Oh. Oh, that’s the wrong pole. I’m trying so hard not to hit it right. Yeah, it looked like you pumped that again, though. Yeah, I did. But it’s 50 left. Yeah, but I was going to say I just knew you were going to hit that right. Right. That’s right down the middle. Well, oh, I must have been aiming too far left. that black and white pole he said I was aiming at the wrong house. Oh, it looks to me like 68 y 74 y 81. Jeez, I’m Is it that far? So, I’m that far off line. Although, I was aiming offline anyway. So, right, 82. But I need to land a short and let it skip up. I think there’s a bunker to the left of the pin. I went and had a quick look. We got a little bit higher here. Where’s the flag? That left. Oh, it kicked right. Oh, that could be pretty actually. Really nice. Great effort from there, mate. Thanks. Thanks. And Scott missing another fairway here. In fairness, he hit it perfect. It’s just It’s actually more of a split fairway than it looks. I don’t you think I’ve got to try and like chase us in low? You do whatever you want. I will. Thank you. You try that again. The wedges are going away. Five. Whoa. Probably too much glove, mate. I’ve just never understood that. Like what? That that didn’t do anything different to what a putter would have done. I just I feel like it’s I feel like with putter I really struggle to judge the speed. Well, looked like with that you really struggle to judge the speed as well. Birdie putt, but Scott is in trouble. So, two putts might even get this done. I’m going to just slam the door shut on his face. Get back to one one down, right to left. Oh, just they’re just breaking more than I think or less than I think. Good par. Yeah, considering I was basically a pin high and still at 81 yards to the pin, it’s a good par. Yeah, the good part is a really really tough hole. This massive massive moments here. No. Oh, that was a nervy put as well. Look how far past that’s gone. Just wasn’t leaving. Actually, did you check to see if there’s a stroke hole? I didn’t. Oh, you’ve just conceded the hole anyway. So tough. Back to one. What is this for golf? Look at that big stud. 14 stroke index 60. What a view that is. Great ass. 430. We’ll just go here then. Uh 430 par4. Um called John Westerman. Don’t know who that is. Stroke index 2. Where’s the green? Straight ahead. Just can’t see it. Right. We’ll try and actually fade this one instead of whatever that was before. Oh, that’s a thing of That’s the best one today. Yeah. Very good, mate. Oh, we could be in trouble here. Yes. Pressure on now, Scott. Thanks. Oh, it’s kind of nice to see you hitting it right actually. Yeah, I’m honestly I’m actually over the moon. Is that going to be over little be? Oh, be out of bounds, please. So, interesting development here. Scott was out of bounds. We didn’t actually know the out of bounds came in this far down. We thought it was only about, you know, 200, 230 to get past, but it’s more like 300. So, so playing three net two. Yeah. YouTube rules lateral drop before anybody complains. Obviously, in a tournament, you go back to the tea, but we’re not playing a tournament, so great strike just Yeah. Was it a good strike? Yeah. Not too bad. [ __ ] K, [Laughter] right. Yeah, interesting shot here. I’m in the bunker plugged again somehow. No idea how. Scott’s following me. How’s that? Oh, that was so bad. 10 ft past. Not ideal. How’s How’s that possible? Like it hit the face and came back in. How can it plug? Sand is crap. Three bunkers I’ve been in the last two days. Horrific lies in all of them. I mean, sand is just so soft. Pretty good. One of the best bunker shots I’ve ever played. That’s for what? For bogey. Yeah. Yeah. That’s five net four. Where are you going? Did you read that? Thought it was right to left. 695. So this to get Oh my goodness. This to get back to all square. It is indeed. And honestly, I don’t think a lip out could happen to a better guy. That’s all. No lip outs today, boy. Right in the middle there. Look at the sheep just throwing up the the hole there. We’ll go all square. All square. How does this happen really? Well, you’ve had a meltdown, that’s how. But I mean, if you could hit the green, if it wasn’t into the wind, I would say take the driver because you could probably hit it, right? Okay. Into the wind today, probably not. Right. Okay. No problem. Trust your wedges. The same wedge just stuck me in that bunker on the last hole. Yeah. That was lovely. Getting the body turning again. Like it’s starting left now, which is nice. Very good. Nice. That’s That’s the shot you should just stick to like this and fade my lark. It’s just not for you. I’m not deliberately trying to fade it, mate. bit into the breeze. Yeah. So, what 100 yards? Is that including the uphill? Yeah. Yeah. A little cold. Like 110. Yeah. Not too sure. Nice shot. That looks annoyingly good. Oh dear. That might have went in. That might have went in. That might just have went in for that would that would screw up my comeback actually rolling now. 74 yards. Actually a little bit of a funny yardage for a shot like this. Um almost completely blind second shot. This is a cool hole. This is one of my favorite holes so far. Just see the top of the flag stick there on the edge of this collar rough in Danny boy. That looks nice. That looked very good in it. Sorry. Never mind. So, uh, so me and Danny have both came a bit long here. Good grief. Just a big big dim slope here. Uh, just left, please. I’ll zoom in so I could get you in the in the frame, Danny. This is a a hell of a spot here. Anyway, golf to play. So, I think I played a decent second. It just didn’t have any spin. Landed near the pin and ran down the slope. So difficult putt uphill right to left and then a little bit back down after the hole. Be careful. Very very happy with that. That’s good enough. Yeah. Absolutely. You’re feeling generous today, eh? We’re on holiday, mate. Right. Oh, better give you that. Just not. You don’t have to. It’s up to you. No, it’s all good. That’s about the same length mine was. Friendly game. I’ll beat you fair and square. Right. All square with two to play. And we come to a beast of a hole. 440 yard par4 downhill, but it’s hardly any wind. But what there is is in the face driver. A lovely. That is so good. Just feel I’m trying really hard to get the club more in front on the way back instead of behind me and it’s helping. Oh no. Bunker. Are you joking? Yeah. Right in the middle of the fair. It’s not cool. Don’t joke about that. the trouble. I’ve had bunkers the last couple of days. Sorry. Yeah, that was nice. Yeah, nice to see it fading again. I like it. Look at that backdrop. Get on the road, would you? Love downhill holes like this. Beautiful. Oh, best of the day, laddy. Yeah. Oh. Oh dear. Did you have to do that? Oh. Oh. Right in the bunda. That felt so nice. Best drive scotch out all day and he’s still in the rough. In fairness, this is a patch of rough that’s basically in the middle of the fairway. So, what do you think? Do you like six? If you get a flyer. Yeah. I think I just think it looks like short’s better than long. Anyway, yeah, I’m going to go six. Play for a flyer. Oh, Scott Coventry. That is a thing to behold at. Oh no. Set, set, set. Oh wow. It’s off the back. I just couldn’t hit seven now. No, I just couldn’t. You don’t tend to get flyers that big though. But that was a big flyer that one. Good shot. It’s just unlucky. I don’t know what that is off the back. There’s a big ridge in the green. Unless or did it actually go off? Oh, sorry. 152 into wind. Smooth eight. I think have to really smash a nine to get it there. It’s funny. There’s not a lot of wind, but when it’s it’s quite a cold wind, it it takes a lot of distance off of your shot. So, eight iron. It’s probably half a club of wind. Come on, Nick. Stick a nice one on it. Strike. Love that. Yeah. Very good. Yeah. Good. Good shot. So, I give him his fair amount of abuse, but Scott got pretty robbed there. Just got a little bit too much of a flyer. And now he’s got a horrendous shot. Look at this. Up down. You’re actually going to do well to keep this on the green. Yeah, I know. Like genuinely. It’s a cracking effort. Great shot. That’s actually world class. Thank you, mate. What a lovely guy you are. I don’t say that very often and mean it, but that was superb. Good shot. Birdie P. Scott’s got that for par net birdie. So, this might need to go uphill right to left. Come on. So many good putts today that haven’t gone in. away but not getting a screen. Oh, very nice par. Tough hole. Yeah, tough hole. Tough hole. Two good shots. Good. So, this to go one up with one to play. Yeah, I’m not going to lie. I’m just glad the match has made it this far after five holes. I thought it was going to be over after about 12. I’d like to hold this one though because I’ve had three beautiful shots so far. Feeling a bit harsh. Not getting a bar. That is a good par net. That is the actual up and down of your entire life at exactly the wrong time. there somewhere. Okay. Scotty one. What have you got? Four irons. I’ve got four, mate. Yeah. I have five big. Yeah. So, yesterday we were talking about not playing golf courses at finish with par threes. Eh. Yeah. And that’s yesterday and today. Two in a row. Yeah. Was golf. Come on. Oh, that’s going to be tricky, isn’t it? That was close to one of those. It shall not be mentioned. Right. Come on, mate. 192 six iron. I’ve I’ve got to melt this. I’ve really got to hit this good. Finish with a good one. Oh, it’s drifting a little too much. Kick left. Kick down. Oh, it’s good. Oh, yeah. Looks like it’s about six feet. Is it? Get it off. Yeah. Oh, that’s amazing. So, two balls off the green there, guys. Unfortunately, mine is the one past the pin. So, Mir that we’re playing with has almost hold it. It’s a bit of f. Unbelievable scenes. Mr. Coventry has not almost it though. His ball was in the bunda up there. Mr. Coventry is cleaning every groove on his club. You’ve got actually nothing here. Do you know that? So, this is where my head’s at with it, right? You’re going to play it right and then try and go down between the bunkers. So, I think in tournament play, I would just play to the the back left of the green here. Yeah. But I think I have to just go high high high high high high. Like you’re you’re not going to three putt from there. I’m going to one putt from there. So, yeah, that’s what I’m saying. So, at the very worst, this has to get up and down. Yes, it does. She a chip. Might as well go for a square game yet. Have we? No, we haven’t. No. Keep that club. Bye-bye. Look where this is going. Oh, bit of fun. Doesn’t really get doesn’t really get much easier than Have you got a What are you trying here? I’m going that low seven iron. I think the slope’s too far to the right. Scott, it’s off the back, isn’t it? That was like a 80 like a full seven iron. Right, let’s finish with a birdie. I think this is to shoot level par, which is amazing for how bad I’ve been. Although the No, the Black N’s been all right. Good read. Good speed. Bowl there for that. But you know what? It’s good enough. Well done, mate. Good enough for a square game, a first half. Yes. Thanks, mate. Thank you very much. Thanks for signing us on, guys. Absolute pleasure. Thank you very much. Oh, what a place, guys. That is, you know, look, I don’t think anybody would ever say it’s it’s up there with like Donic across the water or fur along the road, but as a place to come and play that’s fun, scenic, quirky, challenging, absolutely fantastic. So, if you’re ever in the area, come and play here. You know, Don is nearby. You’ve got NerS just down the road. We played for Trolls yesterday. We’re playing golf tomorrow. Just be careful of these little fences when you’re coming off the green if you do come and play. Thanks, guys.
