EDINA, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s golf team is competing in the three-round MIAC Championship this weekend at the Braemar Golf Course. After Saturday’s opening round score of +48 placed the Gusties in sixth, Gustavus had the fourth-best team round of the day on Sunday at +22 to move up to fifth place overall.

“Great day today, saw some really good things,” said Gustavus head coach Scott Moe. “Addy had one of the best ball striking days I’ve seen in maybe 15 years, her 73 was a great score. Emily strung together a ton of pars to start her day, many positives. We moved up a little and are excited about the final round of the championship.”

Addison Longie led the Gusties in the second round, shooting +1 to move up 20 places in the individual leaderboard. Longie’s two-day score of +18 has her tied for 17th overall out of the field of 48 golfers.

Emily Kolb followed Longie on Sunday, shooting +5 to bring her tournament score to +16 and move up eight spots in leaderboard to a tie for 13th overall.

Lauren Hubbart shot +7 for the third Gustavus score of the day, remaining tied for 15th overall at +17.

Riley Zebroski had the fourth counted score of the day for the Gusties at +9, moving to 22nd overall with a total score of +20.

Up next for the Gusties is the final round of the MIAC Women’s Golf Championship on Monday, October 6. The first tee time for Gustavus is 10:00 a.m. and the last is 10:40 a.m.
