Bringing off the four wide, Bradu, Dason Persley will roll off from the front row in this one. Justin Peek and Giovanni Celia in row number two. Row three is Ashton Torson and Ryan Smith. Row four, Logan Wagner and Rico Aber. Row number five, Brent Marks and Justin Sanders. Sixth row is Jeremy Weaver and Tanner Thorson. Seventh row, Anthony Macker and Carl Bowser. Eighth row is Parker Price Miller and Brennham Crouch. Row number nine, Carmen Periggo and Tim Schaefer. 10th row from the B mains, Sai Lynch and Aaron Ritzel, Chase Randall, Danny Sams, Michael Bower and AJ Flick. Going green next time by 30 laps around Learnerville. $10,000 to the winner of tonight’s a main event. Top three locked into the heat races in the dash tomorrow, Learnerville Speedway. We got them racked. We got them stacked. And we’ve got the grand stands packed. Let’s go racing off of turn number four. We are green feature events underway at Learnerville. Bradu with the lead off of turn number two down the backstretch moving by for second to 26 of Justin Peek getting by his former ride driven by Jason Persley. Persley works back to the outside but PC will have the second spot across the start finish line. Ryan Smith on the move early in this one. Start at six. He’ll make his way by Gio Sely into turn number one. Ryan Smith up to fourth plus two in one lap for the 69K. Gio rounds out the top by three wide and it turns three and four. Brent Marks on the bottom, goes by Logan Lagger and Ashton Torson. Torres around the outside. He maintains the six spot across the line. Good stuff right there in the middle part of the top 10 as Torson hooks the cushion. He’ll get tripped up on it. Tanner Thorson goes by. Tanner Thorson makes his way up to eighth down the back straightaway. Three wide almost again off of turn number four. All lanes are working so far in this one, Tyler. Yeah, it’s uh the track is shaping up to be a really, really good race here. I think especially once you get the traffic here, you’re going to see Brad start moving around and then those guys are going to start catching him. Tanner Thorson by Brent Marks off of turn number four. Move Tanner Thorson now up to the sixth position. He started 12th on the field. Tanner Thorson plus six and four laps. You’re looking at Ashton Tores around the outside. He’ll make his way by Brent Marks with Logan Wagner. Rico Aver back behind keeping an eye on Aaron Ritzel has not made much progress. Actually has lost a position in car number 87. The points leader with Kabota High Lim Racing could be in trouble by the end of this one. And Sil Lynch has done the opposite. He’s passed quite a few cars here already too. Yeah, Sil Lynch is up maybe eight or so cars early on as Rico’s putting a move on Logan Wagner. That’s a race for about the eighth position. Give it to Rico off in turn number four. Force the issue into turn three. Rico Aver up to eighth as Gio Selzi may have dropped the right rear over the edge of the banking in turn one but is closing back in on Tanner Thorson up front. It’s all about Bradu that time by foreu a 1569 for the lap time for Peek a 16-0. So Sweet pulling away gets a little bit sideways off the corner but traffic maybe two laps away for your race leader. I think traffic’s going to play a huge factor in this like it does almost every night and we’re going to see they’re running two different lines here. PC’s getting getting to search around. Brown’s kind of st kind of stuck doing what he’s got to do and and Pex in the Cat Bird seat getting to move around and Justin Peek just took a half second lead. Car around in turn four. It’s Jeremy Weaver and Sweet has to take evasive action off the track to avoid scenic group. Wow. Him and Michael Bower along with Danny Sams all having to hang a hard ride off the track to avoid the 5J. We do have the winning 50/50 ticket number there, race fans. It is a ticket 387435. It won $208. We’ll mention it again after the after the race is over. But once again, 387435. $2,000 to you, Tony. Chase, I don’t know if you guys noticed it right there, but at the Frozen Farmer pickp at the time, elected to go down to the inside effectively giving that second position over to Dason Pley. They’ll have to work from the top side here, but Pek obviously feels the bottom groove is where he needs to put that 26 as we come back to the restart. Thanks for pointing that out, Tony. As we’re coming back to green, that puts Jason Persley up next to Bradu. The green flag comes back out at Learnerville. We’ll see if the bottom works out for PC as Tanner Thorson’s working on Ryan Smith. Move Tanner Thorson up to the fourth position now. Looking at Pec down the back straightaway. Tanner Thorson from 12 up to fourth. They’re three wide back in the look at Sil Lynch. Cracks into the top 10 in turn three. This is crazy. They’re still four wide. Sai Lynch making his way towards the front of the field driving like a man possessed here in this feature event trying to work on Justin Sanders and the one of Ashton Torerson. Lynch with a big run down the backstretch moves Sil Lynch up to the ninth position in turn three. Silence now underneath of Ashton Torerson. The local boy trying to make his way forward in front of his home fans. Up front though, it’s all about Bradu. Has a change for second down the back stretch. Justin Peek goes by the 13 of Jason Pley. Justin Peek up to second. Pley gets the left front over the inside. Bur and Tanner Forson’s right there trying to get the next for that podium spot. And and Tanner was really good here at the at the silver the silver cup. And uh he’s uh definitely looking like the he’s really good on the bottom of the racetrack anywhere we go. And the bottom’s coming in right now. As I say that, he’s running around the curve. He’s got to get around the top because you cannot pass the guy that’s in the same lane as you. And that is Decent Percy just ahead of him. Thorson on his back bumper rolling into turn one. Percy going to miss the bottom a little bit off in turn number two. Opens up the inside. Thorson’s going to take third down the back straightaway. Tanner Thorson now up to third plus nine in this feature so far. We’re not even at the halfway point yet and and his his line’s open now so he can he can gain some ground here on PC and and hopefully they get the traffic here and and bring Brad back to him too. Two laps away from the halfway point. Ashton Torson makes his way by the 69K of Ryan Smith. That’s for the fifth position. A good run here for the driver to Glendale, Arizona. Tied on the cushion. Gets over the cushion on the edge of turn number four. Ryan Smith goes back by. He maintains the fifth spot as they roll into turn number one. But Ashton Torters absolutely blasting the top in turn one trying to find his way by the crit racing 69K. [Music] Still keeping one eye on the battle with Sil Lynch. Oh, Torerson’s over the edge of the banking there. Loose the spot. Silch goes by. Lynch is up to seventh from 21st. Make that 19th. 19th to seventh as up front we’ve got making his way through some of the slower cars. gets by Carmen Perry, but four cars in his line in turn one right there. Tyler’s got a lot of work to do. There is a traffic jam in front of him. And um for this, if you’re Peck, you want to see this. You you want a chance to to get him here in lap traffic and he’s coming back to him right now. He certainly is. And Pec’s got to get going right now as Sweet is in the thick of the traffic. Makes his way by the 21 of Paraggo. Pec does as to get off the bottom of the line. He’s been running for most of this race to try and get by the slower cars of Brennham Crouch and AJ Flick. Peek took two tents out of the lead that last time and now this time B’s going to lose a little bit of time to your race leader. Tanner Thorson closing in on Peek for that second spot. Working through turns three and four. And the traffic is not over yet. And sweet three cars away from the current series point leader Aaron Ritzel. Thorson’s right on PC now too. Tanner Thorson is closed in on Justin Peek who in turn is on the back bumper of AJ Flick trying to find a way by him. Peek to the outside. That might leave the bottom open for Tanner Thorson. And we know Thorson’s going to take advantage of that. Looks to the inside of Peek for a second off a turnover. Tanner Thorson might have had it at the line. Very close. Thorson did have it at the line. According to timing and scoring, Justin Peek gets back by him into turn one. Great race for second. They almost go three wide. They do go three wide with the lap car. Big run down the backstretch. Tanner Thorson has got second with still some time. 10 laps to go. He’s catch up to Brad. Sweet. Still plenty of time. And and Brad’s gotten slowed up quite a bit here by this next group of lap cars. So, it’s be interesting here. Sil Lynch is got by Rico Avers. Sil Lynch is now up to the sixth position. Here comes Tanner Thorson down the back straight away. A great run off the bottom of two here every every lap. Bradu tries to run the middle trying to get by Carl Bowser. He has no idea that Tanner Thorson is right there with him. Thorson got to try and find a way by the 11 of Carl Bowser. Can he do so off in turn number two? The answer is no. Sweet still with more cars. Jeremy Weaver, Ashton Torerson, and Aaron Ritzel. Some cars will be tough to pass as Thorson absolutely monster truck at the inside. Burn trying to gain speed. Thorson going to get by Carl Bowser. No lap cars between your first and second place machines. Next time by six laps to go and they’re side by side in front of your race leader. Bradu trying to get by the one of Ashton Torerson down the front stretch. Just 6/10 of a second separate Swede and Thorson. Thorson’s biggest issue is that Brad’s running the same line. So, he’s going to have to hope that Brad does something different here with the lap cars and leave his lane open, which Brad just did right here. Brad ran the middle. Thorson around the bottom trying to catch back up to him. Pec and Pley appear to be closing in on the top two as well. Now, Sweet going to go to the middle to try and find a way by Ashton Torerson. Leaves the bottom line open for Tanner Thorson. He’s got to run down the back straightaway. Look for the race lead in turn three. Tanner Thorson trying to pull up next to Bradu this time by four laps to go. Thorson’s next to Sweet down the front straightaway. Tanner Thorson cannot do it. Sweet runs the bottom. They nearly get together in turn one. He’s going to get a good run off the bottom. Oh no, Brad held him off. Bradu holds off Tanner Thorson. Thorson now the bottom. Sweet goes to the top. He’ll get to the cushion on the inside of turn number four. They go three wide with a lap car down the front straight away. Bradu still with the lead. Thorson nearly clipped his left turn into turn one. Sweet slid to the racetrack. Thorson gets a little bit too sideways. Pulls up next to Sweet. They’re looking for a new race leader in turn number three. Tanner Thorson around the bottom line might have another turn for new leader at the line. Two laps to go. Two laps to go for Tanner Thorson. He’s been in this position so many times. Can he finally pull it off tonight? Pulls away from Sweet down the back straightaway. Tanner Thorson white flag. One lap to go for the Rodross Motorsports number 88. Tanner Thorson around the bottom. Needs to make it one more turn. down the back straightaway with a 10 car length lead and it finally is going to happen from 12 to the win. First career Kabota Highland Racing win goes to Tanner Thorson tonight. Brad Sweet second, Justin make that decent Pley in third. Justin Peg fourth and Sai Lynch from 19th to fifth with Ryan Smith, Rico Aver Gio Sely, Brent Marks and Justin Sanders at top 10 finally. [Music] Tanner Thorson had ran second five times this year. Four with High Limit, two with the Outlaws, and he has finally done it. A real points paying event win, not a splitfield prelim like last year at Gold Cup. And it’s about time. [Music] And he might burn it down. At least gas it up a little bit. He’s not wasting any time. Already out of the gross motorsports number 88. Make some noise for your first time winner here tonight, Tanner Thorson. Yeah. Brettton Marvel, who has been there every step of the way throughout this process. A team that was started a month before the season last year. Came home second several times last year on the podium and they finally are able to get it done. Shaye is down there and there is Chad Hill. He parks next to him every single race with High Lima Racing. He’s going to get the High Lima Racing victory lane hat, the High or make the the Hooser tire neck band, the Synokco race fuels checkered flag. And this could be an emotional victory lane. Tony Leaport, let’s send it down to you. I don’t know what was louder, the booming and the banging from the fireworks or you pounding on the top wing of this Rod Gross Motorsports number 88. Tanner Thorson, you score your first ever national 410 wing sprint car touring victory. And you do it by beating the sixtime and defending national sprint car champion in Bradu while he was running your line. All I’ve got to ask is how did you do that? He wasn’t running my line. That was the that was the key. Um man, holy crap. This is awesome. Uh we just been working so hard. It’s comes down to hours and hours and my guys are probably sick of me um sitting at the dyno for you know 12 hours the other day just trying to figure everything we can out on our program and um it’s been working. Um first off I want to say um you know prayers and thoughts and prayers for the Kirk family out there. Um what happened man that’s some to be honest. So, um, you know, we’re thinking of them, their family, every that shooting as well. That was at the Colorado school. So, um, man, my family, my wife, Stevie, Lee, uh, Willie Kane, Factor Kane Shocks, Rob Capetta, and and and Mario have been busting their ass on this motor, and it hasn’t been exactly right for for some time now, and we spent a lot a lot of time on it um, the last few days. So, um, thanks to them for, you know, spending the time and and making things right with us, and and it showed right there. You’re a guy who does things your own way. Most of the time you do them your own way just because it’s not what everybody else is doing. Whether it’s the four coils on this car, whether it’s your driving style, like back in July when we were here and you were, as Chase Rodman says, monster trucking off that bottom burm, you do things your own way, but you was just, as you just listen, you have an army of people behind you that care about you, stand with you, and support you. What’s the first thing you’re gonna say when you get on the phone with Stevie or you get on the phone with Lee tonight after your first National 410 win? What are you gonna tell him? Man, just that we did it. You know, um we’ve been trying and and obviously we have a four coil car, which is I think the 1 percentile of of sprint car racing right now. You know, Sammy’s got his, but he doesn’t run his that much. And um to be able to pick up a win, and I’ve had thousands of people tell me I’m doing it wrong and not doing it right, and you need to go to four bar four bar car. And um hopefully this just shuts them up. So, um, yeah, I think just being a lion, not a sheep. It’s pretty plain and simple. That’s the Tanner Thoren mantra. We’re going to get that Chasm Safety Products win box in your hands. Inside there is a win sticker that you can put on the tail tank of this race car, a t-shirt, a golden ticket that goes towards your ability to collect a chasm safety seat system at the end of the year. You’ve done it, man. In a minute, I’m going to ask you about your charity you want to support, but you’re in Whiskey Meyers Victory Lane. Yeah, for sure. Um, big shout out to Rod and Nancy. Um, they took a shot on a kid that wanted to live his dream traveling up and down the road and um, they did it and and and I think everything that we’ve done, we’ve had some setbacks obviously, but that’s part of building a team and um, you know, Jason and Chantel um, for coming on board this year, they’ve made it a lot easier on our program and um, you know, I can’t thank them enough for what they’ve done and um, this is just the start I feel like. So, uh, yeah, I’m looking forward to it. Weeks before the K Cabota racing season began last year, Rod Nancy Gross call you and ask you if you want to go 410 National Tour Racing. It was up to you. It was up to Britain Marvel to build this program from the ground up. Literally, you’ve done it. It’s my honor to ask you for the first time after your national 410 win. You get to send $1,000 of our angel donors money to any charity you wish to support after your victory here tonight. With your win, where’s that $1,000 going? Yeah, I’ve kind of stayed strong to this, but uh this is gonna go to Dustin Porier’s Good Fight Foundation. Um UFC fighter and I’m I’m really I think next thing my my my favorite next thing besides racing is UFC. So, um you know, we’re going to send that to him and and hopefully we can rack up some more for him. You did it your way. You’re a winner with High Limit. Congratulations. Thank you. Tanner Thorson stands in Whiskey Meyers Victory Lane. Not in a split field a main event, not in a preliminary event, but with a full field in front of the best to do it here in 410 wing sprint car racing, Learnerville Speedway. He can hear you. Talk to him. Tanner Thorson’s your winner. Let’s go back upstairs to Chase Rodman for tonight’s contingency awards. All right, thank you Tony. Race Shardine Foundation rookie of the race tying his best career finish with the series tonight. Persley with a third place effort gets by Justin Peek on the final quarter to make that happen. Also, we’ve got the hard charger award. We know that goes to Sai Lynch as he went 19th to fifth plus 14 for the rod in supply hard charger. And also the Jace Golf Cart’s best lap of the race went to Bradu. He ran a 15 184 on lap number one of tonight’s feature. Would end up in the second spot. He’s now standing by with Tony Leaporta. So, a fast lap to start the A main event, but a battle there at the end with Tanner Thorson. He ends up getting out here with his first ever National 410 touring wing sprint car victory in a full field, but he had to come take it from you. What were those last five laps like? Um, yeah. I mean, it wasn’t surprising to me just, you know, I couldn’t get by those lap cars and they were kind of putting the bottom and then that five car, the white five, he kind of got the middle going and up a lane and actually was getting by a few of them. And so I tried to do that, but I just couldn’t quite get off the corners and make any speed. And uh Tanner’s been really fast. Um you know, hats off to him. I’m happy for him and his team. They’ve been busting their butts and he’s been close to winning a few of these. And really Lucas Oil Raceway and and this track are very similar uh for whatever reason. The setups are similar and the guys that are fast and he’s been really fast at that track. Probably should have won the last race we were there. And uh so it’s not surprising. He’s able to, you know, kind of hook that burm a little better than me and stay in the grip. But um you know just surprised the the top wasn’t more in play and um you know just got to get our car a little bit better so we can you know get through the slick and get through the lap traffic a little better tomorrow. But uh Casey and the boys are working hard and um you know the Napa car uh was fast all night. We had a we certainly had a good shot to win there. Just uh didn’t get the job done in the last few laps. Bradu comes home in second place in tonight’s a main event after a very impressive opening night of the Commonwealth Clash here. He talked about it. You saw him get the ace in the hole after going fourth to first in his heat race and then winning the FK Rod ends dash. A second place result. Nothing to sneeze at. A third place result matches your best career finish with Kabota High Limit Racing. You come from second on the grid to finish third here tonight. I’m no race car driver. Heck, I’m hardly a pit reporter, but that looked like a very racable racetrack. What did you think of it? Uh, yeah, it was really technical. um you know, if you’re going to have a racetrack that’s just around the bottom and this is a place to, you know, have it because it’s so technical and um you know, Tanner’s really good at it and has been working really hard with his race car and everything. So, uh congrats to them. They’ve been uh you know, really fast here lately and and you know, making good strides, but um so has the B motorsports crew. This uh this thing has been really working good for me and getting more comfortable and uh there’s, you know, no stranger that we’re good at qualifying, but but need to get our race package a little bit better. And I think this is a huge confidence booster to go in that direction for myself and for the whole team. So, um, just special thanks to, you know, Avani Windows and Doors, Pella, Windows and Doors, um, you know, Junior Concrete, everyone that’s, uh, part of this deal. It’s, uh, it’s been great and it’s been a huge learning experience. But, uh, you know, it’s finally starting to pay off. And if people were inspired by your performance tonight and they want to grab themselves a Jason Persley t-shirt or hat, they can head over to your brand new merchandise trailer, can’t they? Yeah. Yeah. the uh we got the merchandise trailer back in again. And you know, a special thanks to Randy and Anne Whis for allowing us to to come back out here with their merchandise trailer and get us back on the road and uh slinging merchandise. So, um yeah, if you’re a big fan or want to be a fan, just go out there and grab a grab some merch. We’re all a fan of Jason Pley. Personally goes second to third here tonight. Bradu ends up on the podium in second after dominating the opening night of the Commonwealth Clash here at Learnerville Speedway. But it’s Tanner Thorson nearly putting a hole through the belly of his top wing after getting out and celebrating his first full field national 410 wing sprinkler touring victory. Great.
