The new Bella Ridge Golf Club in Johnstown, Colorado is set to open for preview play on October 6th with a full opening planned for next year. Situated about 45 minutes north of Denver, the course has been built on the rolling hills of a former dairy farm, offering expansive views and a fresh public access experience for golfers in the region. Designed by Colorado native art shopper who also crafted nearby TPC Colorado, Bella Ridge showcases some 200 f feet of elevation changes, wide fairways, and sweeping vistas of Long’s Peak in the distance, blending scenic beauty with strategic challenges. Construction continues around the clubhouse and the practice facility is slated to open alongside the full course in 2026. The land itself has a storied connection to the Podber family, whose vision for a golf course began over a decade ago. Their commitment to creating a top-notch public course has guided the project from its earliest days, and the result reflects careful planning and passion for the game. This has been an exciting project to be a part of, Shoppeder said in a media release announcing the preview play. The Potbergs have been committed from day one to building a wonderful public access golf course. And from my first tour around the property, I knew that this land could yield something special. I think the golf experience will be very fun and interesting for all golfers. Each hole has its own individual character and challenge.
