September: Match Play Championship
The Graeagle Men’s Golf Association reports that match play commenced at the beginning of the season in May and concluded in September. In this ongoing tournament, matches were played as part of the club’s Wednesday and Friday playdays.
The GMGA 2025 Match Play Championship included 24 players divided into three brackets. The players took part in head-to-head play with the winners and runners up coming in as follows:
Bracket A champion: Joe Anderson
Bracket A runner up: Mario Garibotti
Bracket B champion: Dan Anderson
Bracket B runner up: Mark Yuill
Bracket C champion: Mike Quesenberry
Bracket C runner up: Jim Oster

Sept. 24: Two-Man Scramble
Thirty-two Graeagle Men’s Golf Association players took part in the Two-Man Scramble event on Wednesday, Sept. 24. A beautiful and warm early fall day created perfect playing conditions for the two flights of players, said organizers. The winners of the day’s event were as follows:
Flight 1 first place: Nate Coats and Scott Peterson, 64
Flight 1 second place, tie: Kevin Comphel and John Mitchell, 65; Mike Heath and Grant Mayfield, 65
Flight 2 first place: Dave Manson and Chuck Hein, 64
Flight 2 second place, tie: Jim Reynolds and Jack Gilbert, 65; Joe Anderson and Dennis Flynn, 65; Tony Pehle and Tony Gonzales, 65
Organizers called this “a fun and very competitive event.”
Sept. 26: Friday Playday
A gorgeous sunny and warm fall day was the setting for the Sept. 26 Graeagle Men’s Golf Association Playday. Twenty-one players took to the Graeagle Meadows course for a Par Points game with skins. The winners came in as follows:
First place: Jeff Monaghan and Jim Oster, 48
Second place: Nate Coats and Dave MacDonald, 35
Third place: Mario Garibotti and Mr. Cook, 32
Fourth place: Dennis Flynn and Bert Bellows, 29
Three skins were won by the following players:
Travis Humphreys, with a 2 on the first hole
Bert Bellows, with a 1 on the third hole
Nate Coats, with a 3 on the 15th hole
