LEXINGTON, Ky. – In its third event of the fall season, Kentucky men’s golf will host the second annual Cullan Brown Collegiate, Oct. 6-7 at Lexington Country Club (par 71, 7255 yards).

A field of 15 teams and 90 total golfers are set to tee it up for the 54-hole tournament, played over the course of two days. The action will begin on Monday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start and 36 holes of continuous play. Golfers will be re-paired for the third and final round on Tuesday, which is also set to feature a 9 a.m. shotgun start.

Admission to the tournament is free to the public. Fans can also follow along with live scoring on the Scoreboard Powered by Clippd website.

Kentucky finished third in the inaugural Cullan Brown Collegiate in 2024. Defending champion Kennesaw State, along with last year’s runner-up North Alabama, both return to Lexington Country Club this year, joining a strong field which includes eight power-conference schools.

All eight members of the Kentucky men’s golf roster will compete this week. Jack Schoenberger, Luke Coyle, Jacob Lang, Jacob Settles and Cole Stockard will comprise the starting five, while Gavin Clutts, Charles Cauthen and Cameron Phillips will all play as individuals.

UK is paired with Mississippi State and Cincinnati for the first and second rounds, beginning their day on holes No. 1-3.

So far this season, the Wildcats have finished sixth at the Visit Knox Collegiate and ninth at the Bearcat Invitational. Coyle and Lang have impressed in the early stages with matching T15 and T26 finishes in the first two tournaments. Stockard, a freshman from Dalton, Ga., was also T26 at the Bearcat Invitational, capping his tournament with a final round 69 (-2), the best 18-hole score of his young college career. Settles re-enters the starting lineup with momentum after finishing as the runner-up at 5-under par while competing as an individual at the Colonel Classic just two weeks ago.

The Cullan Brown Collegiate is named in honor of former Wildcat golfer, Cullan Brown, a member of the Kentucky men’s golf team from 2018-2020 who was tragically lost after a battle with Osteosarcoma. Brown was an All-SEC Freshman Team selection in 2019 following a season in which the Eddyville, Ky. native posted a 72.42 scoring average and four top-20 finishes.

Brown’s sister, Cathryn, is currently a junior on the UK women’s golf team and is slated to hit the ceremonial first tee shot before the start of play on Monday morning.
