KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 23 Tennessee women’s golf team is set to tee off at home for its third tournament of the season, hosting the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship.
The tournament, which is in its 28th year of existence, consists of three total rounds–teeing off with 18 holes Sunday, followed by 18 holes apiece Monday and Tuesday.
The event is set to be held at Cherokee Country Club, a premier recreational and social club beloved by the Knoxville community for over a century.
Last time out, the Lady Vols placed fifth at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational as Madison Messimer tied for third invidually.
LADY VOLS’ LINEUP
Madison Messimer
The true freshman is coming off a top-three finish after shooting 5-under through 36 holes.
Manassanan Chotikabhukkana
The senior makes her way back into the lineup. In her first tournament of the season Chotikabhukanna tied for 28th at the Cougar Classic.
Thitikarn Thapasit
The true freshman makes her third consecutive start. Thapasit registered a top-25 showing to open her collegiate career at the Cougar Classic.
Martina Lopez-Lanchares
Lopez-Lanchares is coming off a 19th-place showing at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational with a two-round total of 2-over.
Sophie Christopher
The Germantown, Tennessee, native makes her first lineup start of the year. In the 2024-25 season, Christopher notched an 11th-place finish at the Tennessee Spring Challenge.

Lauren Nguyen
Nguyen is set to make her Tennessee debut after four years at Texas A&M. Nguyen is coming off a summer in which she competed at the U.S. Women’s Open.
