Let’s go back to earlier today. Max Homa playing for the first time here. A birdie putt at four. He was out early. Made the cut in by one at 5 under par. So knew he needed to get off to a hot start. That got him to nine under par. He finished with an eight under par 64. Taylor Montgomery for birdie a one. Well these guys they saw score. They’ve seen the low scores that were shot this morning to 14 under. Then for backto back birdies to begin this third round. Quick putt coming down the hill. Uh making birdie on your first two holes is even better. 15 under par. Oh, what a shot. Taking advantage of a good break with that ball staying dry. Whole location much easier in my opinion today on that right hand side of the green. Danny Walker T-OT on the way. He’s got himself in the mix after making Eagle at the fifth. Oh, that’s beautiful. Just like you said, Billy Ray, you can actually get get your T-shot close to seven at the ninth. Steven Fisk, he’s trying to make his presence felt. Absolutely. Well, I mean, the scores are out there today. Max Homer really vaulted his way up the leaderboard and all these guys have seen that. Scap wedge. Another good one. If if he’s got proper speed, I don’t think you can give the hole away in my opinion. He is so solid in that part of his game. And Montgomery gets out to 15 under looking down at the rest of the field right now. Bring it in very high. I mean, you can’t do any better than that. Excellent shot. Nice to see him support this wonderful event. Montgomery now for birdie down the hill. Pretty quick putt. Can run this one by if you’re not careful. Oh man, now he’s feeling it with that club. He walked that one in a little earlier than expected and he now has a two shot lead. If you get the club sitting down too far, could come off the top of the club a little bit. Doesn’t come out clean enough. Came out clean enough. Might need to get down though. Haven’t seen many guys been able to spin it that much out of the rough. Yeah, I feel like this goes left just a little bit. It’s a cross grain putt, so speed’s not as important as Eric’s was. Perfect speed there and line. So Higo gets that bogey back at the fifth. Sappin hit it into the penalty area. So now this is his fourth shot at the par five, Johnson. Yeah, maybe a little bit too bold coming out of that right rough with a fairway wood going at this green. Got a lot of work left to do for his five. Hole cut right on a grain change. Difficult read. Okay, no harm done there with a five. Type of shot here. Played in the back of his stance and try to catch it with that leading edge. Yeah, you can tell he did not like the way that one came out. Will it get all the way there? No. can have a little tester. A nasty lip out means that Higgo regains a share of the lead with Montgomery and 15 under. A little bit more forgiving hole location on the right hand side. I’m sure they’re saving that last one back left for tomorrow. beauty and down it goes. So why starting to make a big move? He’s now 33 straight holes and he’s only one back of Montgomery and Higos. We send you back down to Todd. Got to go. Good job, buddy. Pretty pretty darn good. I mean, it was close to being in that bunker, but he’s got a good chance to make that one now. They’re so smooth. Once you get them online, they’re hard to they’re hard to miss. Yes. Dials it up from just off the green. What an up and in for Garrick Kigo. And he reclaims the lead by one shot as he gets to 16 under. Matt Coocher, his second and 18. Right hole location took just over the front right bunker. Oh, landed that in a perfect spot. It’s tracking. Remember he had that hole in one on Thursday on in that final group. Coocher for his birdie to post 14. Yeah, solid round by him and you know Max Homer as well getting to that point. If these guys don’t run away from them, they’re right there with a lot of winning experience beyond the green. Short par4 Steven Fisk. Easiest pin on the on this entire green back center. Good shot. And he does. So Steven Fisk is now the closest pursuer to Garrick Kigo. Just hope it hits the spins on the first one. That was well done. The way he embraced the contact. There’s still a little bit of grain in Zoya, but that’s a good point, Jim. But he made a divot like that. You have to What a save. You see the fist bump there. and he knows how meaningful that was. Gets a little quick right in the middle of the screen. It goes straight away from him. That needs to settle. Watch this. Whoa, baby. Back here. The Sanderson Farms Championship. 15th hole. Short par4. Sappin to get to 14 under up the hill. You can hit this one firm. Yeah. And he did. Wow. Yeah, he’s got 291 total, 265 front. Oh, he is smoked. This is If he hits it good, he can get it there. But he’s going to get on it to get there, though. Oh, he did. He’s going to love it. What a shot from the leader, Gar thing. Likes it. [Music] Stop short for him underneath the hole. Oh, he came up just a touch short. So, we’ll tap it in for 17 under. Great chance to make. And he does get to 16 under par does Steven Fisk. Christian Bizade note is also from there. Really good chipping motion. Third shot at 18 and it finds its way into the cup. Pizzote gets to 12 under par. Well, that looked like three all the way here. Yeah, it did. 13 under. Danny Walker now finds him. Yeah, this is interesting to try to judge once it gets to the middle part of the green. It really starts to run away from the player. That was beautiful. The two bounce check. Ah, Billy Ray. All right, back on track. First birdie on this back nine. Steven Fisk and and here we go. Now Cole and Higgle are recognizing that their golf balls are literally touching in the bunker. So you want to give us an explanation there? Well, and what happened with that the second ball with Cole’s ball? It came into that track and pushed Higos down into a bad lie. So, I’m not sure how they’re going to uh if he’s going to get to recreate that lie or if Higo has to play from that lie that was made worse. Flying it all the way to the hole on that down slip with some spin. That was beautiful. This for birdie. Well, he has had one heck of a comeback after bogeies at seven, nine, and 10. He’s mashed up with four more birdies on the back nine. Put himself right back in contention in this golf tourn. And after all of that, it’s an up and in from the bunker for Garrick Higgo. And he has that two-shot lead once again. Take David Ford putting for birdie. And the left-hander gets it to go. And he gives you that. Can that cup get filled up one more time? This time from Sappin. Yes, he can. Big day tomorrow for Frankie Sappin. Been waiting all year to see him put himself in this position. A really controlled swing. Easy. I can’t I can’t Oh, don’t you do this. So, it just tells me he’s playing with a lot of confidence even though he missed a couple short putts. Oh, did he do it? Yes, he did. He drips it over the front edge. And Danny Walker found his distance, guys. Yes, he has for sure. I think he’s going to try to attack this flag. Johnson seen a number of good shots from players that put it in the fairway here today and a little left of the flag. Sticks the landing. Taylor’s right there about 6 ft short. Stay so steady over that putt there from long distance. Oh, looks good. Come on. Five in a row to close out the third round. And Danny Walker will be right there. This is green light all the way. [Music] Oh, there we go. Shot. Trying to extend that lead. Yeah, that was that was right all the way. It’s only one stroke, but it’s about 69 68. So I think that’s your mentality if you’re leading or anybody. Okay. Makes his par. So it is a twoshot lead for Garrick Kigo. He look he’s playing solid. He’s obviously playing the best of anybody in this field. Danny Walker though, the way he’s putting he can get out there and get hot. I mean Frankie Sappin’s playing good.
