Do you like a sweetie? It’s almost pathetic like rain like that, ain’t it? Which like rain in the UK sounded like wind, turned out to be rain, then rains like for 5 minutes, scares you, and then just stops. It rain yesterday. Uh, you guys. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my [ __ ] god. How long did it [ __ ] Um, episode 27. It is. Yeah. We cool this for a presentation. Oh, lovely. I was going to say I put my notes about the R cup and I thought done no diligence here. I’ve done no like research in the players. I know the big boys, but I’m glad you’ve done a bit of research. Yeah. So, um I have another nipple. You like some biscoff instead? No, I’m trying to be better now. Um, one thing that rain it sort of to me has got that feeling and signifies that it’s the end of summer golf. That’s dumb. When did you think for you it was the end of summer golf? Was it really up on top of the hill? No. Before that, someone said um they see on the news it was the last hot day and it generally hasn’t been hot since. I think for me it was when I finished that round and went to the range. I think you said it as well and you’re like it’s dark already. I think when I realized I could go to the range and film stuff in the dark prior to it being closed is when I sort of knew Yeah, I think we might be done now. We said as well, didn’t we? We got It feels like every single year we just get less and less of a summer now as well or more do less in the summer. Yeah, we didn’t get a summer last year. Well, we said on the phone, didn’t we? We said like, and shout out all our [ __ ] IRL friends, like I just feel like I didn’t play enough golf this summer, like wages with the boys and twilights and jumping in buggies and or are we just getting old? Are we busy? I don’t I don’t know. Maybe a mixture. I think it is a mixture. I would have I do love a Twilight summer round though. A bit on jumping buggies. It gets like vicious with us lot and like quite toxic and we just didn’t have enough of that. But I think people’s responsibilities and obviously we’re always busy. But yeah, it definitely feels to me like the end of summer, which is sad. It is sad. We’ve got a lot to unpack today though in episode 27. Obviously, the Europe European team has been announced after the American teams been announced, but this is the first podcast from both teams being announced. So, uh, we got a little bit to look at at who’s playing for who, uh, potential matchups. Uh, if you follow us on Tik Tok, you would have seen I had a bit of a dig at some of the apparel that got brought out, the official clothing and stuff. So I think we’ll dive into that a little bit because I just some of it was Have you have you looked up? Yeah. Well, I saw your Tik Tok and I just think they normally have Ralph if they still got Ralph Ron as the league. RX. Yeah. Yeah. But RX can do some really nice stuff. So what’s God do? All of the night there’s some night stuff on there was [ __ ] well nice. They always come through though, didn’t they? But yeah, we’ll go into that. We’ve got of course our golf biders deal of the week. Uh we’ve got Tommy Fleetwood winning the tour championship. We’ve got a little bit of a discussion on the format of the tour championship because obviously it changed massively this year. Not in Scotty’s favor, but it did give us a different winner. Yeah. Um and a heavily reduced purse on that as well. Yeah. Uh and then we’ve got potential couple of vacancies if anyone’s interested and just a few bits to discuss about that’s new clubs that’s coming into our bag uh that we’re raving about a little bit. So yeah, I touched on that in I did do a pick this week, a G a GB pick, and it sort of intertwines with that. Um yeah, I’ve got a few other minor points that sort of come under that. Well, you lead us off, Wes, whilst I open up this Biscoff Dairy Milk with So, my second one was Ryder Cup. Ryder Cup in Beth Paige coming up. What’s your thoughts? Um, so I think like So, I’ve got a question for you cuz I didn’t actually know driving here. They don’t know they So, they’ll say, “Okay, I want X and Y going out first and it’s just whoever Europe put out.” They don’t know who they’re going against, do they? Until they’re told like, “Your match one, your match one. Oh, [ __ ] me. We’re playing.” It’s not like America don’t go, “Hey, I’m putting out Scotty.” I know Brooks isn’t in there, but Scotty and Brooks and then Europe sort of like, oh yeah, we’re gonna play. I don’t think they know. They just think you’re match one. You just go out one, two, three, four. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, I was saying like, but I think there’s a bit of a tradition maybe where one they’ll put out their best players maybe. Yeah. Like maybe in the rear and then try and get the junior captains can work it out where from the positions that usually go out in but as far as I’m aware, correct us if I’m wrong, I don’t think it’s common knowledge who’s going out on that. I think I guess they want the stronger people to go out first as well, leave from the front and then maybe a few strong lads come in from the rear cases and they try and get the junior lads in the middle I guess. But yeah, I was thinking to myself like the Americans haven’t really got like that pack-a-punch wow factor at the minute, have they? I know obviously [ __ ] me, they got Scotty and Bryson definitely at home which I’ll touch on is like I wouldn’t want to go in a singles match against him personally in America at the minute of like how much of a fan favorite he is. But I was thinking they just don’t have like them wow factor players. I’d say maybe we got a few more in like Ram Hatton Rory and Justin Rose whose longevity needs to be studied really. I mean how long has he been around then he’s still he’s still popping up constantly and making another Ryder Cup team when like Pter Stenson and all that in like hot water in their own tour. Would I be wrong in saying that he’s been on tour for 30 years? I don’t I think that he’s in his 50s. Yeah, I think so. Yeah, he’s got to be late for young. Yeah, he’s been around since like we like since well since Tiger Wood stayed and they’re all like dropped off. Phil Micks on live. Tiger Woods is like done second at the Masters. Other lads on the Champions Tour. Yeah, he’s good man. Ian Pter Stenson and Westwood are like facing not Westwood facing relegation on their respective tour. This guy’s getting selected Friday cup still. Yeah. Well, coming second at the Masters in content. He’s always in contention. The longevity. Well, maybe not contention, but he’s always with a chance on the on the Saturday moving into the Sunday. He’s always there in it. He’s top 30. He was in the tour champion. He didn’t do that well this year, but he was he was top 30 on the tour this year. So, yeah, fair fair one. And hats off to But he’s like someone if I was an American, I got put against him. He’s a bit of a nibbler. Like he’s not going to like Bryson’s going to feed off the like crowd and like hit that line and I wouldn’t want to face Bryson. That that is like in America is too much. But like they might go out and go I’ve got Rosie like oh mate touch. But then he’s this little nibbler like well I’ve just hit that 330. He’s only 280. But has he just made that part or that chip? He’s he’d be like that irritant boy to go against, wouldn’t he? What’s your Sorry, before I go to the teams actually, what’s your thoughts on Europe’s chances though with it being a Beth Paige black long hard it’s not it’s a complete opposite to Marco Simeone. It’s not fiddly. It’s as far as I aware not fiddly golf course. It’s not you haven’t got to potentially plot your way around or hit a few irons allow. It is a bombers hit hard golf course but the further you hit it the more you’re brutous course. Yeah. Um, do you think that massively do you think that in today today’s day and age that still goes against Europe? No. No, I don’t think at all. I think Europe have got to be favorites. They’ve got to be like the bookies favorites ain’t they? Because I feel like statistically and we’ve got more players on the team that are playing better. But then obviously America and America is like is it different to Europe and Europe? Like they got the bigger more weird crowd that they get behind and they like rally the troops in like the whole hurrah fashion, don’t they? That’s sort of like quite to us cringey stuff, but to them I guess it gets them going. Um, yeah. I don’t know. I mean, I would like to see like Bryson and Ram and stuff go headto-head and stuff like that. There’s some good matchups. We would all love to see Rory and Scotty, right, in the singles. Yeah, I’d love to see that. Be a bit scared for Rory, though, if I’m perly honest. Do you think it be think there is an element of scripting in there that that that will happen? I mean, I think if you were a captain and you were like, “Right, Scotty’s going out like lads.” I’m looking around. I’m going, “Well, like John or Rory, like who’s going out first sort of thing.” Who would you rather play, Rory or John? Ram. If I was Scotty, probably Rory. I feel like he’s a bit I don’t know. But then Ram’s a bit shaky because he can get in his own head. Kind of gets a bit angry. I don’t know. I don’t know. I wouldn’t want to be out of a lot of the Europe team. I wouldn’t want I wouldn’t want to be playing Hatton. No, he’s a dog. He’s a [ __ ] dog, man. Put him out against Scotty. Yeah, put him out against Bryson, actually. Actually, let’s see Bryson versus Hatton and get the American fans like doing the whole like hurrah stuff and just get Hatton to take the wind out themselves. I don’t think it was definitely a narrative back in the day, but I don’t think the distance, the whole they play long golf courses, do they hit it any They all They all hit it just as far now. Yeah. I mean, Brighto, if we look at Justin Rose is probably the the shortest on all players, probably. Yeah, cuz if you look at, and I might I might be way off on this, but I’m just guessing. Russell Henley’s not a long hitter. No. Harris English is not a long hitter. No. Patrick Kley’s like average. Yeah. Moraua doesn’t hit long. Cam Young, I think does. JT can get it out there. Sam Burns okay, but maybe. And Scotty’s not obscenely long. No, he’s not average, any. Yeah, I think he’s on the the longer side of average, but then if you look at bigger hitters in um Europe’s team, obviously Rory sends it. Yeah. Bob McIntyre, I think he is like sneaky long. Fleetwood not so much. Rose, not so much. Hoygard rips it. Yeah. Hat not so much. Larry not so much. I actually don’t know much about Seer. No. Or how he was in the because he was an he was an automatic pick. He was or was he a captain’s pick? I’m not sure. His name’s always there or thereabouts in it. But I don’t I think looking at the team like Europe’s team surely in trading read out Europe I’ll go USA so there’s there’s our team now get it big for you so you got it up yeah so you got Maroy McIntyre Fleetwood Rose like that front four is solid right yeah and then we obviously go down to Hoyard Hatton Lowry Striker and Aber like that’s solid as well and then even going even lower you’ve got obviously Havland Fitzpatrick and John that’s a pretty star studied team that is a good team but if if I said most young golfers now or adults right name me 20 name me 15 BS in the tour they they probably those names there that I think maybe apart from like Striker they would all name when you come to America what they can I think they name three or four yeah America definitely but but then but I’m not America exactly that’s so true but America’s team JJ Spawn who’s obviously massively hot at the minute is he’s find a very good strain of form so hopefully loses that by Beth Fa the occasion sucks Yeah, Ben Griffin. He’s the Mizuno guy who puts Tik Toks up. I didn’t realize he’d been placing so well because I don’t think he was a pick. Yeah, it was like last Friday cup was there a Tik Tok that he was like he was doing he was like working a job or something. Yeah, he puts out his travel vlogs and I you know I know he plays on the tour don’t get me wrong but um wouldn’t be classed as a wellbe apart from current form. the main man Scotty Sheffller, Xander Schoffé, Bryson Dashambo and then doesn’t really apart from I mean Cam Young’s been playing well, JT’s hit a miss. Apart from them, when I get into Russell Henley, Harris English, Patrick Cann [ __ ] annoying, you know, you just want to go against him a point. Not because he’s good, but it’s like oh mate, I’ll be like this Luke just just try. I can’t. If you put Hatton out of Canley, Kennley probably wins. Yeah. And then Moraua, great player, but again off the boil. Off the boil. Cam Young obviously won recently. JT starting to find a bit of form again. And Sam Burns. That ain’t Yeah, they was a question with Sam Burns if you’re going to make 16th. He was a captain’s pick. That ain’t killer. No. Europe’s team killer. Yeah. I also see that um Matt Wallace was crying after he finished an event because I think he needed to win that for automated qualification. Yeah. Yeah. If he won it then you get like Yeah. He would have been in on the points. He was pretty upset. And obviously Keegan Bradley I think rightly so didn’t pick himself. Yeah. Now he’s like got a team that the whole like yeah they respect me sort of thing now. He technically should have been in right. If he wasn’t captain he would have been in. So how do you reckon I think he’s lowkey a bit pissed. Yeah. He’s never played a rider cup before. Yeah. Gets chosen to be captain and then has his reign of form. we were talking about. I don’t know. Again, I’m not an American golf avid follower. I don’t get the whole like why he’s captain. No, me either. It has to be heroes, right? Like like to me like Ian Paul could be a European captain and I feel like he could show a highlight reel and cheesy and everyone will get behind him and like I think like Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, like Yeah. And people are saying even like Jordan Speed in the future. Yeah. There’s loads of people that could be Yeah. Yeah, I think all you need to do is look on the either main tour if they’re old and still playing on it or look on the seniors tour and look at either for Europe European tour legends. Yeah, there’s so many I mean I mean I’m not opposed to Luke Donald to be honest. No, no, I’m not at all. I don’t I don’t get the the Keegan Bradley personally, but yeah, I mean last little bit on the teams they don’t strike much fear into me as a European. No, if I was them boys, I’d be pretty confident. Yeah. And that that is a solid team. I’m really glad to see Aber in there as well. Yeah, he’s kind of a little just a smidge cold, isn’t he? But he’s still young and still new to the scene. Swing just reminds me of someone. I’ve I’ve seen better swings. Honestly, I’ve I’ve seen better swings than that. People say that’s good, but I’ve I’ve seen better personally. Um, so has Europe released their we released our fits yet? I don’t I haven’t seen it. No, I’ve only seen the America ones. No, should have done more research. I think um it’s it’s quite cool that we’ve got the Ryder Cup coming up. It’s very exciting for us. Which then brings me on to point of like and I think it’s being discussed before so I’ve probably stolen it but do you find it annoying how or is it a good thing how close all the majors are? Yeah. We did speak about it. Oh we we’ve done it. Yeah. Not on this I don’t think but we have spoke about it like okay it’s cool how like one starts and then we’re like oh that was good the masters give me more. And then x amount of weeks later we’re like the next one and the next one and the next one. So that is exciting. So you’ve got a positive there right? The negative is they all happen and then I don’t watch the PJ tour other than that. So then I’m just like, “Wow, that’s good.” Where does it start off? You start as PGA. No, go. Do we not start Masters straight off the ri? Oh, no. You are right. PGA. I think it goes PJ Masters, US Open. US Open. Yeah, you’re correct. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then the PGA starts in April or May. Yeah. And then and then the the open finishes it all off in July. Yeah. July. Yeah. July. [ __ ] me. July and September. I feel like I was only watching Scotty yet. I know. Port rush. Was it Port Rush? Yeah. So, all of the majors are crammed into two and a bit months. Yeah. Like it’s rapid fire. I obviously understand the open one because they want to do it in British summertime. Yeah. Yeah. I I do get that. But like some of the American ones you can definitely reach your ground. Yeah. I don’t I think you’d have to move the PJ and the I don’t think you can move the masters. No. No. You keep that because I know that Augusta can have bad weather and it did after the mask, didn’t it? Like flood. So like you can [ __ ] around with PJ and US. They can go wherever and they can go Florida. It’s hot in December. Yeah, I don’t know. Maybe they do it this way to keep the seasons and give the players time off. And we’re lucky this year we got Ryder Cup, so we got a bit more sport. Four or five, I think it’s 25th to I don’t know, three or four days, whatever it is, um to look forward to. And it it is cool. We’ll um we’ll be having some form of get together with the GSG boys, go down a golf sim, get booked out, have some dinner, watch the golf together. Um would have already had our own rider cup by then as well. Yeah. Right, lads. This is your last chance to follow in the footsteps of Tiger, Rory, DJ Mikkelson, Sergio Garcia, Pter the Postman, and come and play Celtic Mana on RDER Cup week. So, send us a message on Instagram or email us which is in the description of this podcast and you can get yourself entered as a lastm minute onto our event. Hope to see you there. Send us a message if you’re interested in coming. Let’s get back to the podcast. Intense. I’m I’m very looking forward to that. We’ve got double rider cup this year. Yes, we have. How [ __ ] cool was that? Our own and then we all come back and we’re like that was great. Hey, I’m on a high now. I get to watch the Now I get to watch the actual goal rider cup. Uh yeah, so I put on TikTok I was just having a little muse on there um at the outfits cuz I do like seeing I like that it’s team uniform. I do. Yeah. And everyone goes out wearing their It is a little bit weird like in the US always wear weird [ __ ] I know mate. Yeah, that’s what I was just about to say. their RLX and as Wesley said earlier, RLX do some like really [ __ ] smart. Most of their stuff is to be fair. More of it’s nice than not, but um I mean I’ll show you some on here. It’s I mean I saw some highlights coming on TikTok the other day and um they were wearing some RLX trousers and they had like weird lines and [ __ ] down. I’m just like what? That’s [ __ ] I don’t get it. I mean, we seem to change colors a lot more than them though, didn’t we? I don’t like the yellow that we had last year. No, then I’ve looked back at some highlights and sometimes we’re like gray. Sometimes we’re we we flicker around all the time. But yeah, no, I haven’t I haven’t seen ours at all. I’m assuming it’s [ __ ] awful. We love this stuff. Yeah, that’s exactly that was just what I was about to say. We look at this and go, “What the fuck?” But the Americans lap this [ __ ] up. USA. They’ve got on some of their RLX trousers. They’ve got USA written on their trousers as well. Yeah, they’ve had that before. And it’s like, what is that, man? Yeah, I I don’t know. But they are so so passionate, aren’t they? So much more passionate than us. Their hats are just awful. There was only a couple of bits on here like the Nike stuff was nice. There was a couple uniforms. That’s not bad. No, it’s not. It’s not the worst. The stripe gets gets away. I’ll put these on screen for everyone watching the podcast. You can see what we’re doing. But like what what are we doing here? Yeah, but I just can see that they would love that. The um it’s a lot of dough as well, isn’t it? Yeah, mate. It’s [ __ ] expensive. American Eagle Rider Cup. People like I mean what’s that? $600. I can see $600. The Ralph in 2025 Rder Cup map jacket in refined navy. You’re not going to get much more American than that. You’ve got a bald eagle flying the American flag jacket. a biker jacket with um Ryder Cup 2025 and then USA written on it. Again, if you didn’t know, team uniform, but the difference is between Americans and us, right? If somebody buys that, they don’t then just go and wear it to go and watch them at Beth Page. No, no, no. They then like for the next following months when they go into the diners for dinner, it’s just like, “Yeah, go and have dinner now, babe. Grab my jacket.” Like that. that to them is like if if you’re a European fan and you buy anything blue and yellow and you’re flying out there or maybe you might have a society or something you might put on this Ryder Cup polo. Yeah. You then are not going out to Frankie and Benny’s or to Nandos and putting on your Is Frankie and Benny still going? I don’t know. I think I was going like the diner sort of. You’re not putting on your EU like drip, are you? No. They’re just different. Like they’re just well different to us. They’re very very patriotic and they have to This ain’t slander either. This is just I think it’s most UK or Europeans would share the same sentiments. They just have to get that USA badge. Yeah. And the three letters USA into anything on Stone Island, isn’t it? Yeah. Yeah. Cuz as soon as it has the flag or their country name on there, they know that the Americans have to buy it cuz you’re like unpatriotic if you’re not buying it. Get it on there and that means everything. And then you can chant USA. Yeah, you well when Bryson comes out like you can be like proper rednecky whereas I’m pretty sure when Europe’s come out it won’t have Europe written on it. No, it have a few stars. It’ll have the stars maybe and that’s it and no one will buy it. No, unless people that go there, no one will buy a [ __ ] thing. So predictions then West. Uh we’ll win. It won’t be like we won’t run away with it just cuz it’s in America, isn’t it? And like some lads may get in their own head, but look formwise looking at the boys there, I’d say in form. Look, Fleetwood, Rose. Yeah, obviously Bob and Rory. I’d say we got more informed people and we should probably How many points roughly do we win by? Was it We won. It wasn’t that much in Italy, was it? I know obviously Fleetwood had to hit like bomb a nice shot on that long par four and then Ricky sort of flopped it, [ __ ] up a little bit and didn’t get close and then we did have a bit of a lead at the end and then a few of them just come in towards the end. It’s always a couple of I mean it would be a I think two or three points which is like quite a lot in the grand scheme of things when you send out all the single single I think we do them by five really that’s that is a landslide rider cup terms yeah Scotty but then it’s in a matchplay format it’s not a four-day tournament so he’s beatable in on the match play side of it there’s another format where it’s alternate shot or so it’s not just his ball great great golfing format foromes we love that we’re real advocates for the golf supply. We love that. We’ve always said for should be in the Ryder Cup. It should be in more YouTube videos and it should be how we decide like forsomes is a good Yeah. Yeah. Good for and it’s so enjoyable to watch. It’s enjoyable to play watch. Yeah. Scotty can rely on one of them big boys. I just think apart from the singles, the Ryder Cup’s not that’s why Ian Paul has always done so well. Yeah. You don’t have to play four perfect rounds of golf. So although he’s he is honestly the superhero of the tour, let’s not get us wrong. what he’s doing is tigeresque in in some manners. It’s not the same at the rider car. You you’re completely correct in that. Yeah, it’s the forward day stroke play is completely different. They ain’t gone. If I’m going out, I’m not going like, “Oh, wow. Scotty’s good.” I’m going like, I’ll just attack him. Bryson’s dangerous cuz he has the ability to hit it, knock it 400 cuz he can go for shots and if they come off and he’ll ride on the crowd a bit. Yeah. Or I’d say Bryson’s more dangerous than than Scotty in that. But yeah, I just look through that team and I don’t I don’t really see like loads of points coming USA’s way. Hopefully I’m not wrong, but they’re all tour professionals. Yeah, that is true. And yeah, the same way Scotty can be beaten. So can any of them big boys, I guess. But yeah, you touched on our This might actually be out, by the way, before we actually embark on our journey down to Wales. We’re going down to Celtic Mana. We’ve mentioned it a few times, so we won’t bore anyone, but yeah, we’re doing like a two-day event down there. pairs combined stapleford loads of quality prizes. Um our first overnight golfy event slash day is it’s our club championship. We’ve got golf supply golf club our member site and it’s our championship. Most golf courses, local courses had their club championships. We are yet to have ours. We’re having it at Ryder Cup venue which was actually only there 15 years ago. Yeah. Which I couldn’t believe that when you told me 2010 Yeah. But do you know how thick I I You going to say the same thing? Yeah. No, I’m going to let you. Yeah. And it’s only just clocked in my head. Yeah. Did it just clock for you then? No. No. I Oh, you knew when we How long after we had the conversation? Oh, no. I knew. Oh, instantly when I asked. Yeah, I knew cuz you said to me, “Oh, was it longer?” And I was like, “No, I don’t think it’s that.” Cuz then I actually had had that discussion with myself a few weeks or days before. And I’d looked it and I’m like, “No, but you still Googled it.” Yeah. No, I don’t know. Yeah. But like I already knew. So I don’t know. I feel like it was like you know when someone sort of pressurizes you and it’s like I know this one’s up but I don’t want to go film on it cuz this is awkward. But like I said to Westy I said when was uh I just it only just clicked in my head then it’s called the 2010 the golf course but they held it twice. No no no. Oh just once. Oh the ble wasn’t a golf course specifically. Yeah. And I asked when it was. Yeah. Which and I just said the 2010 out loud and clearly it was in [ __ ] 2010. We’re playing the 2010 on Monday the 22nd, which is going to be three days before this year’s Ryder Cup, which is cool as [ __ ] I think it’s quite cool. I I would like to assume that nobody should shoot Handicap or better two days in a row. I would like to assume maybe there’sund I think there’s 110 total. 2010 would be hard though to It would. What tease are we going to put them off? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, we got to discuss this afternoon exactly how we’re who we’re having, what we’re having, and the ins and outs. And then I suppose we need to look at tea boxes. Yeah. Yeah. Yardages. Cuz off the backs it will be [ __ ] well long. Oh yeah. People hate us. It’s funny leading. This actually isn’t part of the podcast topics I wrote down, but a couple weeks back or a few weeks back in our golf club, um Swinny, I know you’ll be watching this. All the boys know Swinny is like one of the godfathers, founding fathers of the golf club. Um it was actually a [ __ ] really good laugh. So I went and played with uh another member Dave Dave the rave just for a knock around Five Lakes like local around here and Dave the is a bit of a bandit off his handicap can be. Yeah. Yeah. Can turn up and he beat me around five lakes and then the golf club is just really if you join Golf Supply Golf Club it’s just you get to throw pelters at me and Westy day in day out for however long you want to. So I was catching loads of [ __ ] heat in the golf course cuz David the Raven had beat me and rightly so. I actually so I’m a ball marker. I’ll bring that to club champs. I’ve got it in there. Um, so and then one of the godfathers, the founding fathers, Swin, started throwing some shade at me, saying that very confidently as well. And everyone in the golf club was backing him and you done me a little bit. You did and you didn’t. I tried to warn you. Maybe I could have been more pushy, but I still was on your side that of the event. So that’s why I wasn’t too pushy. Yeah. But we um, Ingborn Links, you’ve seen Westy play over there loads of times, me play. We’ve done loads of videos over there. It’s actually a bit of a championship golf course off of the back. PS 7,100 yards. If you’ve played Ingrabornne, if you’re a Essex listener or around around this area, if you’ve played it, it’s always [ __ ] windy. It’s an inland links and that is the big defense of that golf course. Apart is there’s tight in places. There’s gor you you can lose balls e easily over there. But when the wind picks up, it’s [ __ ] hard. But off the back tease, it’s 7,100 yards or 7,67 yards, something like that. Yeah. So, it’s long. And Swinny Boy was giving me a little bit of [ __ ] in the golf club saying that he would beat me. So originally the last time I give you a little bit of context on this. The last time I played with Swin, he hit just as many half decent golf shots as he did howling golf shots. I don’t think more howling I don’t think he’ll mind me saying that. And I think he was off like 26 or something at the time. He he was about six stone heavier. Yeah. And he he just got out on the golf course cuz he liked to socialize and walk about. He would he couldn’t walk around at this he can now actually walk. He won’t care. He won’t mind me saying he can now actually walk rounds. Before he couldn’t and he was top like his howlers were talking like oh not 100 yards down. He was like topping it and [ __ ] yeah. So he’s got his handicap cut down to 22 I believe now. And I was like put your [ __ ] money where your mouth is. Swim really wants the PXG secret weapon mini driver because it’s it’s a [ __ ] weapon. No pun intended. So I said you know what I’ll put up a PXG secret weapon mini driver but I need you to put up saying Swin. So he’s got a tailor-m made Qi35 tour 3wood or QI10 tour 3wood. I said I’ll have that off you as collateral. It then snowballs like everything does in the golf club and people start putting on bets. All of Swin’s little [ __ ] cheerleaders, Garbs, Carl, [ __ ] Scott, whoever it was, loads of people in there. Um start saying, “I’ll put a tener on Swind to beat you. I’ll put this.” So I then said being very confident, “Well, anyone who wants to put a bet in the golf club, I’ll match it to back myself.” Westy then come in and started backing me on some bets as well. And somehow this snowballed into there was about 600 quid on this match. There was a lot on it in about 40 minutes of this going into the chat. We were going to do stroke play off of the back tease at Ingreborn and it was a relatively windy day. It wasn’t crazy but there was there was a bit of wind up there but we changed it so I could double down on my bets a little bit more to a match play and it went all the way down to the very last hole and we ended up halfing it. It was intense as it was. Yeah, it was [ __ ] raw. I I traveled along to I give like complete teley text updates in the group chat and like lads were like we got one lad who is it who drives a lorry for a living. He was I’ve had to pull over. He was I’ve had to people were like stopping work and stopping what they were doing to follow this chat because it was [ __ ] so intense. I thought I was [ __ ] man after the first 3 hours. Well, because I did message you and say, I’m just gonna let you know like Swinny, we’re both members of Ingleborn, so I played him a little bit more. Just gonna let you know that Swinny can actually now hit a ball because you were under the illusion of like he can’t. But because I backed you, it wasn’t like no Ash back out of this cuz if I put that in your head, you’re a not going to back out of it and two, yeah, it’s just there was no good. So, I was just letting you know you can hit a ball now. Yeah. Stroke play you wins. It’s no question. The better player always wins. like a staple for match play thing. Tough. So I play the first I par it. Good par. Swinny makes bogey. Half. Second hole. Swinny pars it. Yeah. One down. Third hole. I think he he won that as well. He took like a quick little lead, didn’t he? I went I went two or three down, I think. Yeah, you did. You went a few down and then he lost a born fifth. Sixth, I’m not sure. Seventh, he hit that unbelievable five iron on the seventh. So then at this point he was probably maybe a couple up eight I can’t remember nine like he just was playing good and then he had a little stutter along the back and like the longer 15 16 and then got to all square coming on to 15. I lose 16 to go one down. Yeah. We half 17. Yeah. I free whack it to half 17. Yeah. Yeah. And he makes that putt, didn’t he? Yeah. Yeah. Coming back. He was putting like putting so good and it comes down to 18 and thankfully I hit it to about 10T for Eagle in two and managed to half it down 18 so I didn’t absolutely lose my whole [ __ ] and a [ __ ] PXG driver but it got me on to the topic and I would like to know your comments and thoughts on this in the comments section whether you listen to this on Spotify or on YouTube. At what point do you think that the pendulum swings too far for a mid to higher handicapper placing stroke play bets against low to scratch handicap golfers on? Where do you think it it draws the line? Do you think it’s on length of golf course, difficult of golfers? Where does the pendulum swing? Because for me, I think as soon as you start getting up to towards 7,000 yards, Yeah. on a golf course that isn’t a field where there’s consequences for still hitting bad golf shots, which Ingleborn is. I think the pendulum swings way too far in the scratch golfer’s favor. Yeah. Um which is why originally I was so confident on the bets because although Swin has got so much better at golf, so shout out Swinny. He was like hitting some ridiculous golf shots and putting so well. Still think stroke play that day, it would have I would have beat him by quite a bit on the three or four holes that he didn’t finish or would have been playing five off the tea or whatever it might be. So one, what’s your thought on that? Where do you think is it where at what point of yardage or style of golf course do you think that it’s almost impossible for that higher handicapper to win? It’s norm, you are right. I would say it’s normally longer golf courses with consequence of the tea. So like if you don’t hit it 200, you’re not even at the fairway. or if you can’t hit it to this corner, you’re in the or you don’t like, okay, you can lay out, but now your second shot needs to be another layout because you can’t get yourself in the position you need to be in. So, yeah, normally nine times out of 10, you would say length, wouldn’t you? Um, but then again, like it could be shorter and like the greens could be mustered, but I feel like a a worse handicap can still figure a green out somewhere in the round. So yeah, length is where it crosses over to because I had a point that sort of brings is tied into this. I haven’t watched it yet, but there was a video with Grant. I’ve seen the thumbnail. Grant and Bob does sport. Bob starts on the green and Grant starts on the T. Um, and they have a match and it’s to see if Grant can beat Bob does sport. No, it get gets to Well, I haven’t seen it, but and I’m sorry if I ruin this now. Not my channel. I don’t care. I haven’t watched the video, but I saw I saw a Tik Tok and it gets to Bob Forputs on the last hole for to go to a playoff. So, my question would be I do want to watch the video. [ __ ] hell. So, I feel like that you got to think if Grant’s making birdies, which he can. Bob is very Bob isn’t going to two putt every hole because if I two, but he has to free up for to half. Yeah, to half. But like how many times does Bob three or four? I don’t know. Does he do it a lot? He’s He’s not that good. Yeah, but still that’s under the assumption that say Grant’s playing well and he birdies eight holes. Yeah, but they get I mean it depends what course cuz I do think if like anyone 18 and over maybe even 12 and over starts on the green at Augusta it’s quite sad that we still get beaten by the tour professionals. Oh you probably mate. No, you got to think these greens at Augusta are [ __ ] think how hard they are. No, think if you start on the green or Augusta, I’ll be off the green. So, I would be playing now off the green on most of them. No, but you you’d be off the green for the first few holes, then you’d get the speed. We had we had a chat a few weeks ago in the golf club about it and I don’t know uh that is a good question, but sorry, leaning on. So, I saw the thumbnail and then I thought, so sorry, you you go round in less than 65 putts if you start on the Green West through 18 holes. What’s the maths on that? I don’t I mean the other day I played 36 four week. No, you could four putt. What’s 18 time four? 72. You could four putt nearly every single hole. Yeah, I’m not winning the Masters or 72 though. No, I’m saying just to shoot that. But some some holes you probably would more than four putt. I actually do think you would. Where do you start on the green? like the furthest point from the pin or perhaps if they like cuz okay maybe not me but I’m talking like 18 handicaps plus you could picture that Scotty in that start 400 yards back you start on that green and you still get slapped up by them BS I have to hit all them golf shots cuz you’re like that this is left right oh [ __ ] it’s not I haven’t even got it halfway I suppose actually cuz no cuz maybe the the thing with that at Augusta though is cuz if you’re in some spots you can’t keep it on the green yeah and then you hit this and you’re like you’re probably that is left to right and then it will go left to right because all we can do as amateur golfers cuz our courses are set up to read it one way there there’s double and triple breakers and you could go I’ve hit that hard enough yeah that’ll get there and it will just keep going like this the ball will just roll off the back I don’t know if think about it and then you’re like your caddy you get a caddy and he’s like yeah yeah don’t hit this hard but you’re not hitting it hard he’s going to be like no he’s talking like no just start the rotation yeah do you know what it would actually yeah you’re off the back of the green It would be closer than what there could be five, six parts. There could be there could honestly on some holes be it could be a complete travesty. You’re not going to two part much and I think free putt will be a like that will be Yeah. I mean if you and they’re making free strokes but if they Yeah. If they put you in a spot where I think you would and a and a mid- handicap golfer would still go round in 65 putts or less if they didn’t if they still if they put you on positions where you could keep it on the green with that putt. They can’t put you if it’s a if it’s a front left pin, they can’t put you back right and there’s a big slope there and you you’re just going to put it off the green regardless cuz then that’s not fair because the pro would never hit it into that spot. But if they put you on to places where you could keep the putt on the green, then I don’t think you would. Tough though, right? That that puts how good they are at golf. He’s starting back there. He’s got to hit a drive and an iron or a wedge and then he’ll come on and make a putt or two. But you might still be [ __ ] around on the green. But do you think you would shoot lower if you could be off the green with a just a chip? No. No. You’d rather be putting it? I’d rather just start on the green psychologically. Just start on the green and I’ll deal with it. No, not have a wedge in my hand. You could chip it into an area that’s going to be easier to I could also shank it fatty. There’s a lot that could go wrong. I could also aim for that spot and not hit that spot. I mean, I try and hit greens a lot and miss greens. So, like I’m on my wedges at the minute. You see what I mean? It’s a food four, but I I did see that thumbnail and I do want to watch that video because I used to see that now. Um, and then it got me thinking. So, I could never beat you off uh scratch match play. So, then say we played the same course over and over again. You could beat me off scratch match play. Okay. But like the the odds are against me. 9.7 rounds out of 10 I’m losing. But like let’s just use played it a lot. What yardage do you think I would have to start every hole ahead of you to We’re off scratch. I get no shots. You’re going to start each hole from the blacks. I don’t think I beat you off scratch even if I start on the yellows at Ingerborn. So what at what point out from the green would So Bob has had to start on the green to play Grant? Right. Well, you personally you would just be if you could start the golf course where you’re where the trouble off the tea is out of play or even saying 200 yards to the hole. I just think you if you started the point out where you could go seven iron then a wedge. Yeah. Yeah, you could hit seven iron off of every T and even if you still had 100 yards left in whatever that yardage is. It just got me thinking like you only the only time you very you very very very rarely in whenever we play together or even if you looked at both our rounds on camera. Yeah. More so when we’ve played together, you you’ll very rarely give me a hole once the ball’s in play. Yeah. I just you might do the odd bad chip or Yeah. It’s never really putting never kills you against me. You never really have a really bad putting day and it cost you a match. You’re you’ll lose all of your Stapleford points when I play with you or if we’ve ever done a match play or we’ve done a game against each other, you’ll always lose all of your shots off the tea. So, at whatever point you could just hit seven iron because if you played off white or yellow, you hitting seven iron and I was playing off black driver, you’d still lose because I’m going to be so much further down the hole. But whatever point you would beat me, I think seven, eight times out of 10 if you could just hit seven on off every te and just have a wedge in your hand. I wonder if one day if we had a nine whole series it was like a spacer video and people like to see match play episode one we’ll play off the same TE’s straight scratch so I could potentially get five and four six but like doesn’t matter how bad I’m playing on the day or how good you’re playing we go off the same tee scratches and we we see what that score was then I’ll go forward a T box as in like if you get to the course and it’s 10 yards I’ll go forward two T boxes but aim of the game is I’ll try and go forward 30 or 40 yards is the aim of the game there. So maybe just straight to reds and we’ll go straight off scratch. Then we’ll see what that score is. If that’s not any good, then I’ll start at the beginning of the fairway, which is again a normally another 50 yards, isn’t it? You normally got that little bit of tea box, a little bit of rough. Yeah. And we’ll just see at what point. I wouldn’t say it with how my game and your game is. I wouldn’t say I’m 11 strokes better than you though. It’d be interesting. Food for thought. I’ve been a little bit better off tea lately. Played in a competition Sunday in a staple for competition. I was wanging driver. Really? Yeah. I don’t need to go back. Jake, I don’t need to. No, I come eighth out of 33 or something. But Jake, eighth. Yeah, Jake, I don’t need to come back to PX. Fixed it. It’s all good. Really? Now, basically the drivers. How many points did you get? I only had 33. And you hit driver well. Oh, really? Well, I’ve just been putting really bad lately. Oh, well, the other day, so that bit in the podcast when I just said you never So, the other day I shot 84 and 38 putts. 38 two putts and one three two three putts. Oh god, it was bad. Yeah, that is a lot. But um yeah, no, I I just felt lately I’ve been playing really bad on YouTube, but then I felt off camera I’ve been playing good and I felt like my swing was in like a really good place. I was like hitting really good shots at the minute. So I hadn’t had the driver in the bag. So I was like I feel like I’m swinging really good. I feel really confident in my golf swing. So I was like let’s just bring it out. And I hit it and I was like that just proves my golf swing is in a good way. And I was like I was like sending it launch different from flight which is obviously shaft and head weight and stuff like [ __ ] forward like as in like the wind you could have 30 mph wind off the left he wasn’t it wasn’t going to touch it like it wasn’t high but which I mean you could probably sacrifice a bit of length but then I feel like if you hit the fairway that [ __ ] just Yeah. And like I didn’t know like the 13th hole ingerborn I drove the green didn’t know it was driveorn the one where you go up the ramp you walk up the ramp it’s the narrow t-shot me and Ash have been talking about this and Ash’s similar um just like I’m getting in my own head I feel like got camera yips I’ve definitely I have definitely got camera yips cuz I’m doing tracers now on videos and I actually dread starting to draw the traces on the video because then I dread the video going out. I just hate how I’ve played in some videos and then I’ve had two rounds off camera and I’m like, mate, what are you doing on camera? You’re actually decent at golf at the minute. I actually am feeling really good at the minute. I don’t think it’s Well, I don’t think it’s you either. I don’t think it’s necessarily the camera. Oh, it I can only speak for myself. I don’t give a [ __ ] that the camera’s on me. No, no. Yeah, I don’t. But it is definitely it definitely affects your thought process. We’ve said this so many times and what you’re actually doing over the golf ball cuz I’m the same as you. my my rounds we I played quite a bit within the golf club and other bits leading up to our most recent filming that we done and I’d done jig wall weirdly that I shot two shots worse off than we did in the scramble when I shot one over on my own. I shot good round there which was decent. Yeah, I played with swinny off the backs and shot two over. Yeah, and didn’t play I didn’t feel like you played electric. Drove it well. Very good rounding your ball. Yeah, off the backs. It was windy. I was happy with that. Yeah. Then I played again over at five lakes or something and shot a couple over. So I was playing like decent enough golf. Weren’t really any like outright terribleness that I could think of. And then go on to camera and I’m dumping chips five yards in front of me. My chipping. Well, it’s not even, you know, it’s not even so much chip. It’s my pitching. My pitching is so [ __ ] [ __ ] at the minute. I messaged Craig the other day cuz um I keep I said to you I keep like hitting like 30 when I played with Richie and two well you’ve been saying I was oh how’d you get on today and you’re like oh shot shop level or this or that and you’ve been driving extremely extremely well but yeah maybe you’re right it’s not like yeah the camera now is just part of around it’s just more I think we [ __ ] around a bit too much as well. Yeah I think it but I can’t help it I can’t I can’t help [ __ ] around. It’s because also listen if I’m asking or we’re asking people to sit there and watch for an hour and a half. I’m not of a standard and like you’re a lot better than me at golf and very good at golf but even so you which says a lot about YouTube golf and some of the people out there. We are not good enough to just going to play golf. No. Like leave like I’ll stay in my league. Leave that to the Brian Bros. Leave that to the others that can just zip up, put a bit of music on, tell you what they’re going to hit, and funny enough, hit it, and then walk down. Like, we have to try and be a little bit more entertaining and obviously try and play the best golf we can. But us and other channels in the UK, you know, there’s other characteristics we have to play into, but I think it comes into I don’t like playing, I say to you off camera, I don’t like playing buggy golf off camera. I play I play too quick. It’s like you’re at your ball now. Get your club. What are you going to hit? Whereas like if I’m walking, I’ll talk to you down the fairway and then we naturally just fork off and just split. You go to yours, I go to mine, you’re hitting yours. I get to my ball. What am I doing? What’s the yardage? I I’ve got a big fan of now. I don’t actually have a bushel because somebody robbed it. But I’ve got I just use an app. And I like knowing front, middle, and back now. And I’d like think, okay, well, there’s a bunker there. So, I actually don’t want to hit that back number even if the pin’s there. So, let’s just club down. And D. Don’t do that on camera. It was funny because I won’t say who or what video it correlates to, but we’ve done we’ve done a lot of filming. We’ve had a lot of guests on recently for various different videos and on the mics. I said to you, didn’t I? One of the lads that was on was like off camera but on the mic. Yeah. Was like this this ain’t even golf. Yeah. And it’s true. If you’re if you’re not used to it, which neither of them people would have been used to it at all. Yeah. And he was was only about seven holes in at this point or something. He was like not enjoying this. Yeah. Because like they’ll probably come to hit the ball and it’s like whoa whoa. Two sex two. Yeah. They got to get him a like and then wait. You got to tell or you got to say to your pal like yeah he’s going to go next. He’s like yeah mate can you just can you just stand here a second? You’re probably thinking oh on a on a watch. No no no mate if you can just stand here. Pull your bug out your bag. Do that. It is. It It is golf and it’s a lot more normal for us than it would be for someone who has never done it before. So, I appreciate that when people come on to the channel and it certainly is something that we’re used to now with 87% of our rounds of golf being on camera. Um, but it definitely is it is a lot harder and I think it shows when you watch loads of other channels and you have like sometimes really good golfers come on and they don’t play as well on because it’s just you can’t you can’t get in the flow. You can’t get in the flow. You can’t think straight. You can’t This sounds like we’re [ __ ] moaning. We absolutely love it. But it’s um it’s it’s almost harder to play well in a scramble as well because you’re Yeah. Yeah. You’re not just hitting you’re hitting driver every single [ __ ] hole when some when it’s not really needed sometimes. But if he’s you are a decent one or the half decent one, just going to hit driver anyway. You’re trying to go at every single pin because especially it’s not just we’re playing a scramble. We’re trying to beat eight under every single round of golf we play. So it is harder. you’re trying to hit much more high tariff shots over and over and over again. Whereas before you would just there’s no trying to miss on the right side or cuz if you miss you got two chances. So it’s just hard. I just find it harder. It’s penal as well because I’ve had a few rounds where like I’ve had I’ve actually hit really really bad shots like chunked a wedge or chunked an iron off a tea and then I’ve still got to the end of the hole and like for my level part it or bogeied it. But like if you’re planning on scramble, say I hit like that really really bad shot, I then don’t get to show the ability that okay, I’ve hit that bad shot, but I’ve now managed to just scramble and make the bogey. I’ve done that a lot recently and it’s just Yeah. Well, this podcast is sponsored by our very good friends over at Golf Bidder. Uh you see all of the content we make for them on Instagram. They have over 17,000 golf clubs in the lock up that we go and visit when we go pick our clubs out. When we say they have absolutely [ __ ] everything, we are going back two decades of golf clubs to pick from. Um, and on this podcast, if you’re a new watcher, every single week or every single other week when we put these podcasts out, we have a segment called Golf Biders Deal of the Week. And me and Wesy go on to the website, we scour through and we pick out what we think is going to be the best deals on particular golf clubs. Wesley, I’ll start with mine cuz I know you got your own one. Yeah. On the topic of drivers, it’s very expensive. the most expensive clubs you can probably buy in your bag apart from a set of irons. But for a singular golf club, they’re probably what you’re going to play pay most for. And I was having a look through and I saw on here Titless TSR3, which I’ve got over there. Yeah. Banging driver. Mhm. One release old. They’ve got the GT now, but it is pretty similar to the GT. So you’re It’s still a very very modern style driver and Titus’ previous release. Um air condition 67 out of 10. It’s got graphite shaft, stiff 9 degrees, so I think it will suit a lot of people watching this podcast. And it’s on there for £235. That’s pretty cheap for a driver, really, is it? Retailed at 529. You can probably pick them up new now for about 400 odd quidish. But I thought for TSR, even though that’s a six, seven out of 10 condition cuz it’s an all black head, you don’t get any like real bad. They’re a bit stingy on their value by the way. Go. they do themselves out because a seven out of 10 to them like they don’t get it won’t be battered. It won’t be battered. But um yeah, that was my pick. TSR3. I’ve used a driver myself. Adjustable weights on the back. Such a [ __ ] good-look driver. Lovely shape. Lovely aesthetic to it. And I think for 235 quid when I was looking through that, I think bang for buck that is probably one of the best that you’re going to get on there in the condition that it’s on. So if you’re in the market for a new driver, stiff shaft, um I would have a look at that. And then before Wesley goes on to his pick, I don’t know whether you see it on their Instagram and I think this is [ __ ] mega is they actually now offer 60day trial. Oh, [ __ ] me. That is good. Yeah, how good is that? Yeah, that is good. So, you can you can play with it, go to the range for two months, keep it in good nick and then Yeah, that’s solid for a golf club to be able to actually try it. Yeah, that is good. Yeah. So you can go on there, you can grab that or any of the other golf clubs that you grab on golf bidder, you have 60 days to use them, look after them. Obviously, I’m sure there’ll be te’s and sees if they come back with sky marks and stuff, you’re not going to get your money back. But if you go out of them, go on the course, go on the range, like Wesy said, get a feel with them because sometimes you just don’t like the club after a while. You can be when you first buy it, but you get a 60-day free trial. So that is my golf bit of pick of the week. Westy. Um, I’m going to let you touch on after why I’ve said this cuz I know you got a little bit of piece why you want to why I picked this and you’ll understand. It’s a little bit of lefty love because there’s only two on there and they’re both left-handed. Okay. So, we don’t love the left-handers enough, but it is a PXG0317 driving iron joke. And this is on there for £150 and condition is eight out of 10. It’s lofted at 18 degrees, so it is a little bit strong. 18 sits at five four woodish. Fivewood. Fivewood. Similar to a two iron though. Yeah, close. And there’s two on there. Both are under. So, one’s under 150, one’s under 158. And driving irons are a good Okay, I know we’re coming out of summer condition now. And I haven’t just said this cuz we’re sponsored by PXG because I’ll let Ash explain like I say why I’ve selected this. I get we’re coming out of summer now, but for those that are sort of maybe golfers around my level and slightly worse, uh we’re not the greatest fairway wood players, I don’t really think like we get that sort of toppy strike, might not want to hit driver because you’re a bit erratic like me. A driving iron to have if you’re good with your irons, something lofted at two or three iron off the tea and it can put you out there anywhere upon your level between 200 and 250 is a weapon to have under £150. Trust me. And I know there’s not many of you that are left-handed, so I’m sorry for that. But if you are a left-handed golfer, get that for 60 days. You cannot sky or put a mark on it. So, you’re actually safe there really. They have graphite shafts in it. Are they steel? Uh, one is steel and one is graphite. Okay. I’d probably say go for the graphite. Yeah, I would as well. Um, what flex are does it tell? Flex. Both are stiff. Stiff. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, one regular, one stiff. Mhm. Um, so yeah. And I will let Ash explain why I selected that. So again, forget the whole sponsorship PXG stuff. Me and Westy are well, you’ll see from reviews. We’ve done the putter reviews. I didn’t lean massively heavy into PXG and either of them. Um, so we’ll always give you our honest opinions and we like to try and share because we get the opportunity to hit a lot of golf clubs and stuff. We want to let you know the the little golden goosees that we come across. Um, that PXG driving iron, many of you might have hit the Titus U505 or the Tailor Made P UDI or any any of them popular driving irons that have been out on the market. and they’ve had loads of iterations of them. They feel hollowheaded. They feel um a little bit more tingy off of the face. They feel they feel a lot less like an iron than what that does to start off with. I think that’s lovely because it it just feels like you’re hitting an extension of your whatever iron you’ve got in your bag. I think the size of it is absolutely perfect. It’s not a brick like the U505. It don’t look like a hybrid. It still looks like an iron. But the ease of use and the forgiveness of and I’m talking forgiveness as in if you fat it, if you thin it, if you tow it, if you heal it, if you [ __ ] if you do anything to that, you’re in play and you’re still down there over well for our for how far we hit here. Obviously, it’ll be comparable to how far you hit at home. We’re still down there 220 yards in the fairway off of any bad hit, which isn’t which hasn’t been many. We’ve both been ripping the [ __ ] out of it since we got um fitted for it. But I can categorically hand on heart swear to the life of me say it is by far the best driving iron I have ever been lucky enough to use. Like the rocket [ __ ] [ __ ] off flight that you get on a driving iron like one of these big chunky ones, but it doesn’t feel like you’ve just hit a wood or I just feel like with other driving irons, it don’t feel like a wood and it don’t feel like an iron. It’s very much their own feeling when you It’s a go-to. I won’t take it out in the winter. I know like traditionally you might say we’ll bring it out and get something that goes lands but like that club will not I truly think that bag and no matter what ever happens with us in our life and touchwood we stay with PXG and continue that relationship forever and ever and ever cuz I love the team but even if that relationship wasn’t there I cannot see that might be like the little thing that’s there with a few chips out of it and old firewood yeah I just I don’t know like um I’m going to keep it on driver iron and I feel this is a slightly comical section. And I’m going to say this sentence so it can be clippable. Tik Tok. All right. Clip this [ __ ] All right. Is Marco Penge a fraud? Yeah. We all think we’ve got our unboxing. This young goodlook bomber and Christ, he’s got it all going. I mean, his irons are two degrees stronger. Mhm. And he’s two iron that everyone’s like, “Whoa, he drove the 10th 299.” It’s set to 15°. Yeah. Can Scotty and all these other players hit their freewood onto the green on the 10th? Yes. So why would he not be able to hit this iron which is set up at 15°. So if it was set up at 21 degrees, I’ll be going you are you are athrop [ __ ] animal. And hats off to him because he is doing unbelievable things and I he was a I think he should have got a shout for the Ryder Cup this year. Yeah, it just like in form and like he’s so young and like in form that he’s going to go there with like either crumble or just go. I don’t really give a [ __ ] Just give me Scotty. The Max Dman of of golf. Yeah. Does that reference mean anything to you? No. Max Dman of golf. Oh, yeah. Yeah. No. Come on. Yeah. I know. Like the Max Dman. Yeah. Who’s Max Dman? He’s the um Oh, yeah. Come on. West. West. What football team do you support? Oh, [ __ ] me. He’s the 15y old lad. And yeah, quite a wild. No fear. That would be Pend. Just like just go out there and go, well, no one thought I was going to be here. Just give me Scott in. I’ll just go and play my golf. Yeah. And yeah, everyone all but yeah I mean look swings it phenomenally quick so he out some extra distance but I don’t know like his bag set up I saw the other day he’s two degrees stronger yeah which is a club up correct so seven iron’s playing at a six iron just under usually four degreeish it’s 15° so um I think it’s a double-edged sword I think the answer to that is there’s a little bit of deception there because the two iron isn’t 19° or whatever it usually not a drive that someone else would use but at the same time I think it’s not fraud because he does get like 196 ball feet out of a out of an iron. So you the yardage might be a little bit fraudish because they’re not traditionally lofted, but a lot of clubs in a lot of pros bags maybe wouldn’t be irons maybe more so and driving irons that they’re playing. But I think it’s a yes and a no. It sounds it’s it’s media heaven because they can go pen drives 320 yard green with two iron. Yeah. But then when you actually look at it, that two iron is a freewood. Yeah. Yeah. It’s like a zero iron. But he [ __ ] he’s got some speed. I mean, he obviously has to have his irons. I’m guessing Joe and the team down at Mazuno have obviously had to put him in strong irons because he’s obviously hitting his seven too high%. So, we’ve had to just cuz you got too much speed. You see, like his seven iron’s probably going the the yardage he wants, but it’s just going too high. So, that’s why it’s not like him trying to be a [ __ ] double bastard. You hear you say it’s exactly the same with Bryson. All of Bryson’s clubs throughout his bag are heavily jacked. And it’s not because he wants to be able to say he can hit an eight iron 200 yards. It’s because if he just played eight iron loft, he would hit it. His peak height would be like 300 foot. He is a little bit like that on YouTube though, isn’t it? Who you ever see when he has guests on? They’re like, “Hey, what are you hitting? I’d just probably hit five down.” He has to emphasize what he’s hitting. It’s like, mate, you’re strong lofted. Was it Was it you? Um, it was me and you was watching it when he done his presser after the live golf. Oh, yeah. No, after I think it was back from the open or whatever it was and you we took it personal. We’re not going to lose it again. I say we’re just sick of losing. I’m just going to tell you guys I’m looking at I’m sick of we’re sick of losing. This is personal or something. Shut up. God, get on with it. UK and America are like culturally we are so [ __ ] different. I think it was apparent. I don’t know if we spoke about it. I don’t think we have. I don’t think we’ve done a podcast since, but you had the Live Jewels UK. Yeah. Yeah. And it just If if you need anything to highlight the difference between English golfers and American golfers, and I’m talking about the pros and the amateurs playing in that as well. Yeah, that is the perfect video to go and watch. Watch it if you haven’t. It was on Rick’s channel. Rick’s channel. So, just look at the difference between just culturally the way that speak, behave, act. It is literally people are saying like that Evan’s really, really annoying. It was actually you that jumped to his defense and said he’s not actually that annoying. He’s just American. Yeah, he’s an American football player. He’s not actually that annoying. He’s a giga chad. He’s a giga chad. He’s a giga Chad. Like he’s like he’s probably in some house called like Tempur. He’s like, “Yeah, Tempura house.” Like he’s lived in that life like they go around like chug chug chug. And like now like he’s then with like Rick and um Seven which is just polar opposites. Yeah. And I I just thought he obvious I knew as soon as I I don’t think I did well I didn’t watch the whole thing but even for the first two or three holes that he was in he was really leading into the this is the most competitive match in the world this is our rider cup I knew he was going to get absolute pelters and pter and rick and that were just like yeah but at the same time if he don’t give you banter and he’s he just like then it’s [ __ ] viewing anyway so at least he was trying to get a little bit out of Rick or a little get a bit of a reaction out of Pter because he knows Pter can give it I pro I wouldn’t lean that much into it. I’ He played well though as well. He’s not like It’s not like he goes there and he was like chopping it a bit, but like he’s a good golfer so he almost very good golfer. You like can earn the right to gobb off a little bit. It was like smashing driver past all of the pros and like made a few parts and he’s very very good golfer. Yeah, they probably just teamed him up with the wrong guy maybe Kevin just but I don’t know who they would have put him with. No, someone rowdy. Last thing. Yes. Um, congratulations to Tommy Fleetwood. Yeah, sorry that following his uh tour championship win. Yeah, what a maiden victory to get on the PJ tour. 10 million pound in the bank. And my heart bled for Tommy this last month, month and a half, coming so close so many times. Tommy, I think he’s a hometown hero even in America. The support for him, he’s one of the most likable guys on tour. He’s sincere. He’s genuine. He’s a [ __ ] He’s got an iconic golf swing. You’ve got the Fleetwood finish. is just he’s so he’s so prominent in the sport. It’s actually a bit mad to think that he’d never won on the PJ tour to that point for how many times he’s in contention and he’s there and he’s he’s classed as one of the top players in the world and rightly so he should be but to get it done at the Tour Championship off the back as well of blowing two leads in such quick succession um I think is [ __ ] incredible. So you’re not watching this but maybe if we get bigger and you do see this one so you can refer back to this. Congratulations, Tommy Fleetwood. We’ll click this and show you just so you know that we did congratulate you. Um, but last thing on the podcast was what should the tour championship format be for US? Um, cuz what did they change this year? I know the purse went from 25 million to 10. Yeah. And the the strokes obviously changed. Um, there was no strokes, was there? No, it was just straight up. I mean, top 30 blo. Firstly, would Tommy psychologically he come so close this year if he didn’t win this one, which is the last event of the year. Does he then go, I’m in the because the the the season doesn’t start again for a few months. He’s I was I was getting close. I was getting close. And then he’s got to like start again. Like if he didn’t win the tour championship, would he have just been in a dark place? No one knows. Um you got to feel bad for Scott. He’s got enough money. They all have got enough money. However, you’ve technically just been robbed of£10 million. Will you think that he’s got enough money? Doesn’t seem to be that money oriented, but 10 million is 10 million. I think you still would be. Somebody made a Tik Tok and me and Ash wholeheartedly agree. We don’t see enough match play on the tour. Sort it out. So why not if the top 30 players are playing at the end of the year signature event, let’s just roll match play. [ __ ] do it. Just sing a all the way through. The broke it all down. You have seed in. So if you’re Scotty, you finish first. You get a buy even through round one. I’m not opposed to you go through round one and round two. Yeah. Or you you if you’re number one, you go against number 30. Like if you’re number two, you go 29. Just go that way. Yeah. Technically, it’s not going to be that easy. They’re all really good players, but statistically on paper, your advantage has meant to have given you something. Yes. I think that’s the best way to do it. I hate the I hated the format before of the person starts however many underpar it was because you’re giving the person who’s been clearly the best on tour throughout the whole year a multiple shot start over the rest of the field and then they’re playing for 25 million. It just don’t make sense. Like they’re already the best player. I know they should be rewarded for being the best player over the course of the year, but then you’re just kind of nullifying the whole tournament. we might as well I’d like to know the statistics on it and I know it’s not always the person that’s leading that wins it but it’s usually the people in the top three or four that win it every single year cuz the points difference is so big in that level of golf in that level of golf um so I’m glad that they’ve they’re relooking at it but I wholeheartedly agree with you as well run it as [ __ ] match play have some form of seeding we do we get one matchplay tournament a year apart from no one even knows when it’s going on no it’s very early on Dell match play well cricket actually moved on didn’t really like they developed from test cricket to 50 overs to 2020 to now the Indian Premier League and yeah then bring us Maxi League. Yeah, I’m I’m completely agree with that. Match play [ __ ] run it and that I think that would be such a good cool event to finish on every single year. Thank you. Thank you. Episode 27. Uh shout out Golf Bid for sponsoring the podcast. Shout out Uni Bet all of the other sponsors on the channel. Hope you enjoyed it. good videos coming out on the channel, especially the one at Cleave Hill. Did we say Cleave Hill? Yeah. Yeah. Especially the one at Cleave Hill. And we played Burnham and Bara as well, which was a [ __ ] sick golf course. So, that alongside of all the others, got some good [ __ ] coming out, some good reviews. If you’re not subscribed to our YouTube channel and you’re watching this, [ __ ] pagan. Press that subscribe button. We’re edging painfully slowly towards 50,000. Just [ __ ] get us there to 50. Yeah, it Yeah, what he said, please. It is painfully slowly as well. It’s like ticking. Like it’s like watching an analog log, which is mad cuz you see the big creators and they’re like, “Oh my god, I’m going to I’m going to hit a million today.” And they’re on like 997 99,000 993,000. I’m going to hit it in a minute. And they just gained 7,000 subs like the time they’re looking at it. There’s one creator I actually do follow and I actually watch his videos all the time. He’s like American guy. He does these things and he was like doing a million and he had his TV in the garden. He was on exactly like you said like a few thousand shot. He just had the live count up and it was going that ping ping ping ping because that’s what those technically do every minute 10 20. We’re sitting there like 44,455 and then I like I’m watching them marble balls in the desk. Refresh it the next time like gain like seven subs. I’m that’s great. We put out seven shorts and two YouTube videos. Nails comes you’ve been sat up here for seven days now. Really? Yeah. God, that went fast. Thanks for watching everyone. Hope you enjoyed it. Coconut. Nigh.

loving the vids guys, cmon europe ❤️
Keegan has played in the Ryder Cup…. 2012 & 14
The fact you got the Majors in the wrong order frustrated me more than it should have. Starts in April with the Masters then the PGA, US open then finishing with The Open
Penge would be a risk because it's in the US. Ryder cup is so home biased it needed to be stacked with regular US tour players.
If it was in Europe then I would agree.
Also they don't do matchplay any more because it's terrible for TV and gets crap ratings.
They scrapped the DELL a couple of years ago.
Justin Rose in his 50s was harsh 😂
Big mistakes to snub Marco Penge Donald has no balls reminds me of Southgate
