Best Shots of Day 1 | 2025 Ryder Cup
Wow. Exactly how they landed right there. Good line. Get in there. Perfect pace, too. What a start from Bryson Dashambo and Justin Thomas. He’s had the perfect start. He wants to continue it right here. All that rain. I’m interested now. The ball’s going to spin on those greens. Look at that. Getting better. Getting better. Getting better. Nice, John. Wow. Oh wow. 530 yard par4 seem right but it is that was magnificent. Got it. This is a beautiful line. Oh, it’s a wonderful shot from ideally you want to be under the hole. Don’t really want to be past this flag. It’s a severe green. Doesn’t look it, but it is. Victor’s last iron shot is pulled a little bit slight there, but it’s still okay on the green. [Music] It’s a fine shot from an American. Absolutely [Applause] dead center. Europe go up in the first three matches. One up, three up, three up. It’s a great start for Europe. John Ra driver. Yep. Great swing. We here so it should be perfect. Yeah. Left edge of the bunker. just gone one up. He’s trying to put the foot on the pedal. Looks like he’s aiming it right trying to play a draw. That bunker in the corner not in play for either one of those guys. Yeah, beautifully done. They say Bryson’s long. Ram out drove him. Ram’s no slouch. Slight uphill line again. Green spinning so much because of the soft condition but feeding off that front fringe. He’s munch. That is slightly in the middle of the fairway. Oh, it’s a beautiful part. Terble. Great swing. Rambo is always a good sign. 186 mph ball speed as well. Good sign for one team. Only place you can’t go here is left of the bunkers. The right rough once you get past that corner tree is not a bad spot, but two wonderful T- shots. And as I said, he has got green left or right. Needs a lot of loft on this. This needs to be struck. That’s actually pretty good. [Applause] It’s just a brilliant shot in your field. Fantastic shot by wind is off the right while there is [Applause] a super by Justin Thomas. Exactly what team America needed. Slight hurt in the air [Applause] now. My goodness. He’s been keep it up with the Sho all day. I mean, we’ve been talking about his distance, right? Debo’s distance and runs right there. [Applause] Perfect. On any other normal day, this this is within 3 ft. For the RDER Cup, though, it’s a little more challenging. Coming in low. Skip, skip, stop. Four feet in the RDER Cup. It’s not bad. They’re going just left of the flag here as we saw that P right fits Scotty’s shot shape so well. He just loves to hit a little peeling fade as he did right there. That is textbook as well done right there Patrick. [Applause] Chance to go four up. Great pace. Oberg puts the hammer down and so does Europe out in that second match. Just takes a club off it. Seven iron now. That’s a fantastic pressure on again. There is just no letting up from Ligberg and Matt Fitzpatrick. This is his wheelhouse right here. He’s an incredible wedge player. He’s got to go right after the flag as he did. Great shot. Good call there on top. Just what the US needed. That looks all over. Got Oh, it’s a brilliant shot there, Mark. Fantastic shot. They seem very random, but they’re giving the US a little bit of momentum. Henley down the hill for birdie at 14. Oh, what a pop there. Listen to the crowd go to go against the number one and three and just be clinical all day and just do right there right softly softly. There’s how much it means to do that for sure. Look at that might be the biggest moment yet for Matt Fitzpatrick in a Ryder Cup. His performance here today. Talk about stepping up to the plate. Oh, see [Music] [Applause] perfect for America. [Applause] See, he had to dig it out of there. Looks good. Looks very good. Great shot from Fleetwood. [Applause] Should be to this right hand pin. He’s got to hold it off and challenge the right side. [Applause] Hixy pixie there. European mistake. The only thing that can separate them now back there at five, we return to three and English. There we go. High draw coming in this right at the fly. Beautiful shot. Tommy, not a great angle. Ball slightly above his feet. Slate Gri left. Not much. A big advantage for Europe there. We already two up. He’s been treated to some amazing courses. Quickly to Maroy just a short aisle. This should be good. Certainly is another magnificent shot from Mroy. Plays nine yards shorter than his distance. Massively downhill. Great line. Another fabulous shot. [Applause] That’s a fantastic shot there. Yes, brilliant. Brilliant again from Europe. Just keeping the foot down. Just a flip wedge here. He’s got to keep it right of that flag. You can see the tower. You can see the flag kind of right through it. He likes to draw his basically every shot. Trying to start it right. Looks like he’s done that. Kind of take the spin off. Easy. Yeah, it’s a great shot. Really well done. See a really smooth kind of swing there. Kind of picked it off the ground. It’s for the half. Well, you would think it’s for the half. Oh, what a for McIntyre. [Applause] Just those right hand side those bunkers. The perfect line. Bit more. And then yes, it’s good. So, it should be fine. Excellent shot. Maybe 15 20 ft right of the hole would be the perfect shot. [Applause] That’s an aggressive line. [Music] [Applause] That’s a brilliant shot. I’m sure Bob will fancy that one up the hill. [Music] Walk that one in. James from foot out. It’s never far away. And I think he missed that. Back to the dog leg. Ninth Shalay really suits him. He’s got that high draw in his bag. Such a strong player. He hits it so far. That’s a great drive. Now it’s McInty’s turn. He likes that the tea pick up quick. Yeah, he’s he’s that’s the bit that’s improved this year so much with Bob is he’s driving it here. He’s done. He’ll probably be a bit disappointed with that from where he was in the fairway. It’s magnificent. Absolutely perfect by a foot. [Applause] Yes. Excellent shot from Gantley [Applause] staring it down. Picking up the team. Feels good about it. Yeah. Yeah. But you know these fairways got a lot wider. Great shot. Thomas is tough to think about through it. It’s not far away. It’s not far away. Oh, said Striker. Welcome to the World Cup 2025 [Music] [Applause] draw. It’s not at all. Excellent shot from Keef. Has he hit it? Has he hit it? Has he hit it? He has. He has. Just slipped in the front door. Americans will have a pop for a tie. Good man under pressure. 223 down the hill for Sheffer to this back right pin. He’s faded it in. Oh, Scotty, Scotty, Scotty. It’s about time. Open himself up. Pushed it a little bit. Stay online. J gets his blood first. This could be the nail in the coffin. [Applause] He’s just a little bit better than Scotty today, isn’t he? I mean, he’s just he’s the best player on the course right now. For birdie at 14. [Music] That’s a good f Oh, set Straa finds one. Welcome to the party there, Straa. Big time. Fun watching his game progress and and I’m glad I got to sit alongside the the show today. Well done. Thanks, guys. Cara Banks with the questions. This is Sheffller. This looks good. Finally from the world number one. Big big time right there. [Applause] Wow. Wow. W well. How well has he played today? Especially this afternoon. Except struck up into the 16th. 171 yds for the Austrian. So is that top quality goal for one [Applause] hasn’t changed much in years by the size of the representing Europe. [Applause] Looks like a good line. Yeah, looks like [Applause] he’s found it. The fin the fist pump getting the crowd going for the Europeans. Griffin number seven. He’s tracking [Music] bringing the energy [Applause] for the four American rookies for a season. He’s [Applause] for the half. Sh [Applause] not getting much help from his partner. This is on it. [Applause] Certainly is from Rosie just early right to left and almost pushing to the right. This should give Justin a little bit of a and that matches is back to all square ties. So America up in one, Europe up in two. Still moving tons towards the end. It’s moving towards the bottom of the hole. What a P from Fleetwood. Another superstar. Fantastic line. Big time shot. Mhm. far in this fairway. Loves it. Picks the tea straight up. That’ll do. Yeah, quite right. I was a settler for Fleetwood as well. Did the job to 18 Fleetwood and backed off it once. So much noise around this green trying to pop this in low. Take some spin off it. It’s on top of the ridge. Oh, it’s a pear. Come for man. [Music] This an excellent effort. Mhm. It truly is. That’s kind of where JJ Spawn was this the shot he hit. It’s not difficult. Just like that. Excellent shot from Thomas. Always helps some to the second. Justin Thomas up the hill. Just the spin to perfection there. [Applause] I can’t believe how they were trying to wind up the audience. Beautiful blue skies, few clouds showing him the way. [Applause] Be right. He said it was right. Fantastic shot there by Thomas [Applause] 189 mph ball speed. That is mighty fast and done with a little bit of pache. Cameron Young second to nine. Ball above his feet might help him draw it into this front left pin. Oh yeah, Cam Young said New York wild. Justin Thomas from the fairway at 11. See if he can control the spin here. Come on, baby. [Applause] Lovely shot just right down to where John Ramble with it from. Quiet swing. What can go wrong? Right. So good. Great shot. I’ll come back there shortly. First of all, Shane Larry for Birdie back at number two. He’s natural draw into the left flag. What a shot from M. He called that dominator. We don’t want players being put off over the shot. Perfect spot here to take aim at this flag. That’s what he’s done. Excellence and burns. Maroy to win the hole. Fantastic, isn’t it? this morning hold just carrying on for Rory. Here we go with Cat Lake. Remember this to win the hold to reduce the deficit. There you go. That’s what Patrick Can does. So Mackenoy and Lowry one up in the bottom match now. Absolutely sublime the judgment of distance and spin from Larry. US two down this bottom match right shot timely. Pretty simple uphill putt. So just outside the hole on the left that left kind of grabbed it up the whole way holding it back against the window. Look at that man. He has just been clutch. Fly it all the way to the hole. There’s really no other thing to think about except flying this thing right in it. Perfect shots. Got the pace. Thou it in the middle. Tons of pressure. Get in the bunker. [Applause] Burns. So bryson was pretty hot but had shitty teams mates. Got it 😂
@7:10 "not that hole…" Diabolical
Once again, the USA Ryder Cup team is embarrassing America. Once again. Maybe you should’ve paid them more money to get a better performance out of them. Better yet have the senior tour players play for America.
Out here in Canada, we don't want anything to do America. LFG Europe!!!
