ago that winning a RAD Cup on foreign soil was one of the hardest things to do in golf. Your team have done it. How proud are you in this moment? Yeah, I am uh I’m extremely proud to be a part of this team. I’m extremely proud of every single one of the players, the VCs, the captain, all the back room support staff. Um this was an unbelievable collective effort. As soon as we won in Rome, we turned our attention to trying to do something that um everyone thought was pretty impossible to do, not just win in America, but win here in New York. Um it’s just it’s been an amazing week. You were emotional four years ago at Whistling Straits. I sense some emotion now, but how different are the feelings that you felt four years ago to the ones you’re feeling now? Yeah, just look to hear the ole olays here uh in America to you know honestly to do something that a lot of people thought that we couldn’t do. I mean what the the the comments and what people were saying after whistling straits about this decades of American dominance. You know that was we took a lot from that. We let that fuel us. Um we had we got so lucky in getting an incredible leader in McDonald and you know he shephered us through this whole process and he’s been absolutely amazing. A lot of the credit has to go down to him. 11 of the 12 players from Rome came back. We did what we needed to do and we are going to celebrate like there is no tomorrow. Enjoy it. Well done. Amazing effort, they must have been exhausted on Sunday morning after the first 4 rounds, when they were subjected to foul mouthed abuse, people trying to put them off, being vile to their families and given the violence that perpetuates American society feared for their safety.
