It’s fair to say the crowd heckles at this week’s Dunhill Links on the DP World Tour are a little different to the ones experienced by Rory McIlroy and the rest of Team Europe at the Ryder Cup at Bethpage last week.

A week after Luke Donald’s Europeans were subjected to some of the worst verbal abuse and insults in Ryder Cup history, especially McIlroy and his wife Erica, a hilarious video has emerged of tennis ace Sir Andy Murray being heckled by a dog at Kingsbarns.

The moment was captured by golf content creator Hannah Holden during the second round of the Dunhill Links Championship.

As we join the viral video, which you can watch below, Murray was standing over an approach shot from the rough at Kingsbarns.

As the three-time grand slam tennis champion placed his Callaway iron behind the ball and shuffled into the shot, a spectator’s dog put him off his stride.

Laughs then broke out from Murray and the rest of the fans in the gallery.
