Would think there would be quite a few more low 70s on there…

69. Cheers to that!!

Im playing off of a 6.8 right now with a goal to get to 5 by the end of the year, probably won’t make it this year without a few good rounds but this makes me realize how close I can be. I’m in the 70s a lot but what I’m missing are those few low rounds, I need to get better on my approach game so I can have some 69-73’s
JStromb
Interesting that you can be a +hcp with only one round under par. As other have said, the course/courses must have high rating

I’m confused on the dates. Did you play 3 or 4 rounds per day or just add the scores on that date lol
Mpbear1414
I’m a 8.8 right now and I have a 78 and a 79 posted in my last 20 rounds. The rest are mid 80’s to low 90’s. That’s who I am. Occasionally the stars align and in competition I break 80 and I’m tough to beat. Happens 1-2 times a year only.

You must play some tough courses. I have similar scores minus the 69 and am a 7.8

I’m jealous of the HDCP, but I’m even more jealous that you managed to play 11 times (officially) in Sept.

Congrats on that 69. Must have felt electric!

If I’m ever a +0.1, I’m telling everyone I’m a plus handicap lol
Spillsy68
What tees do you play off? I play of the middle tees, usually around 6,500 yards. I look for that kind of distance at a course whether it’s silver, blue or a combo. I’m shooting 77-86. My handicap index is 8.8.

84 rounds a year will also get my hcp lower
godawgs1997
I shot an 83 once. 44/39 on day 1 of the golf trip. 97 on day 2 at an objectively easier course. I hate this game

Nice

I will be there one day

Your highs are my lows lol

The irony here is that this guy would kill your chances in a handicapped format. I played in a member-guest one year, and we didn’t get any strokes because I had one really good round posted even though I was playing to a 6. Still don’t know how that worked, but the outcome sucked for us.

Some of y’all are exposing how judgmental you are without understanding how slope/rating work at all.

Would be helpful to see the differential

Ever read the comments on Facebook videos from the golfing idiots saying that so and so isn’t a scratch golfer because they shot an 80 in one round? People are so stupid.
Classic-Disaster638
I think the biggest takeaway is the number of rounds. Want to lower your handicap? Get on the golf course boys.

This looks to me what a scratch golfers scores would be. Most courses from the tips have a course rating of 73 or 74. My course is what I would not consider a hard course and the tips rate out a 73.6.

So, only 7 of the last 20 scores?
average of 76 73 74 69 73 74 76 73 = 73.5
81 after a 69 is the definition of golf.
