OPENING TEE

Saint Francis women’s golf continues its fall season at the Evan Park Memorial on Sunday and Monday hosted by Mercyhurst. Teams will play 18 continuous holes both days of the invitational at Lake View Country Club. Along with the Red Flash, Manhattan, Niagra, Niagara, LaSalle, Maryland Eastern Shore, host Mercyhurst will be making their way to the tee box. Taking the course for the Red Flash are McKenzie Gustas, Robbin Zetrouer, Camille Gagnon, Bryn Sorge, Abigail McCorkell, and Samantha Przybys.

LAST TIME OUT 

Gustas led to way for Saint Francis women’s golf carding a two-round score of 152 (+8), with a score of 74 after the first round and 78 after the second. Gustas recorded 25 pars and two birdies after completing the 36 holes. Gagnon followed behind Gustas, placing ninth as an individual, with a two-round score of 153 (+9). Gagnon carded a score of 77 after the first round and 76 after the second. Gagnon recorded 22 pars and three birdies after completing the 36 holes. Also adding to the Red Flash’s team score was Zetrouer (16th place, 156), Sorge (20th place, 158), Meghan Zambruno (25th place, 161), and McCorkell (37th place, 168). Along with Gagnon for Saint Francis, Przybys (47th place, 188), Sophia Buday (48th place, 195), and Marlana Krug (49th place, 223) all competed as individuals. Saint Francis finished in third place overall as a team following the event.

NEXT TIME ON THE GREEN 

The Red Flash will next compete in its home event, Red Flash Invitational in Johnstown, Pa., at Sunnehanna Country Club October 5-6.  

NEW TO THE LO’

Saint Francis added Ciara McLaughlin and Robbin Zetrouer to the 2025-2026 roster.  

COACH CASCINO BACK ON DUTY 

Cascino is in the fifth season of his third stint with the Red Flash and 13th overall. He was the women’s golf head coach from 2005-12, for the 2017 season, and 2020-current. Saint Francis was successful in his first go-around with the women’s golf program, leading the Red Flash to two consecutive Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships (2006 & 2007). In addition, he helped Saint Francis finish in the Top 3 of the conference postseasons in his first four seasons in Loretto. His son Lukas has joined the men’s golf team for the 2023-24 season.
