David Skins, who shot a 12 under 60 in the first round here last year, even par right now. Course record holder. He’s got to feel like he’s way over par that even. Come on. Are we going to Oh, how did it miss? Third for Doc Redmond here at 11. Long eagle putt well off the fringe. which is kind of a funny green. It’s downhill from Oh, hello. Great. Great start. An incredible up and down. It’s something. It’s a whole location where you want to fly it at least the yardage and just don’t want to miss anything to the right. Everything slopes away from the pin towards the water. He tried to save it. Oh, he did save it. Yeah, you’re going to have to hit a golf shot here today at 13. There you go. That is a golf shot. It sure is. Johnson Wagner once again. Danny Walker playing nicely. Here was his third at the 14th. Really continued his good play from yesterday. Had to lay up on this par five, but spins it back in there to a tap in. This is Will Gordon playing out of that left first cut, which sometimes when the greens are a little bit softer, it’s nice. You don’t have to worry about spinning your wedges too much. That’s how you make a deuce at the 12th. [Music] Saw two holes in one there yesterday. This is a birdie putt. Made 152 ft of putt yesterday, 130 today. Obviously, he’s first in the field. Stroke scandal on the greens. Danny rolling it beautifully to 10 under par. Everybody’s trying to catch is Garrick Higgo for birdie at 12. Shot a nice 65 yesterday, 66 today. Finished third here back in 2022. So obviously comfortable around this golf course. The Tia’s fourth. Okay, that putter’s not working. Just keep it in the bag. Just flatline. He’s really what was the like what a sports psychologist would teach you. No lows, no highs. Stay nice and flat. That would have given you a little bit of a high if it went in. Yeah. And this guy’s going to like win the players one day or something. Yeah, he’s got a game perfect for TPC Sawrass. Jeremy Paul six under. You had to assume he’s going to do something good. Yeah, little bonus coverage. Maybe no direct issues here. We just need to guess right on the lie. Go over the edge of it. Yep, that’s perfect. Awesome shot. Unbelievable. Great fighting. We’ll see you on the weekend. Go ahead and make this one. Yeah. Only place you can’t go is long right. Okay. Off and running. You can go right there. You did see it. That’s it, too. That’s right where it thought it was. Touch it. Oh, stop now. Ball. Keith not taking advantage of a really good break. What a par. All day long that was a par. Look at him. I told you his demeanor changes nothing. I’m killer Keith on. You’re not kid. Cashmere Keith. He’s going to three putt somewhere late. It’s kind of a soft nickname, you know. Killer Keith is going to make everything he needs to make. Where he started in that front right bunker. Oh, did he? Yes, he did. That’s a great way to start your round on a good line. Uh-huh. The dancer. Really good. Really good. Just movement slight to his right up the hill. Little bit of grain change. Uhhuh. Boy, got to pay that beautiful second shot off. And what a start for Tom Kim. Looking solid as a rock. Second for McKenzie Hughes now at the eighth. Back swing rehearsal that we saw yesterday is muted today for sure. still doing it, but it’s not nearly as severe. He’s playing not too bad. Got to be cautious with the speed. Not if he holds it, he does it. Tom Hogi’s ready for a second at the par five 11th. Yeah, at this point he’s kind of going through the motions, but still a scary shot going right at the pin. What a shot. Yeah, what a way to break your bogey streak. Sam Ryder now see if he can add to that total. Takes a high fade to get it close to this hole. Sitting right on that front right. Oh, it’s an excellent shot. Not going to go in, but that is a really, really well done. Bramblelet now. Long ways away for Eagle. Yeah. Come. Yeah. Coming up through a little valley, then back uphill. A little into the green. Oh, looks good. Looks great. A bonus eagle from that distance. Just got to be careful. This thing gets fast the last 10 ft. Oh, the Florida Gator get it done and say SEC country. Another three on the car. This one from Ricky out of the bunker. Michael Thorbjornson downhill. Not much movement, but just got to be careful with that speed. Appears to be really nice. Kid has so much promise. That was very well judged. He gets to six under. Oh, well done. Attack that hole. Oh yeah, just enough energy at the end to drip over the front edge and Eric Cole moves to double digits underpar. Keith Mitchell his second at 14. Needs to hustle to make it to the weekend. That he does. This probably needs to hustle to get all the way to the green as well. Keith’s got effortless power. Oh. Oh man, that almost rattled in. That would have been enormous for Keith. That’ll be a basically a tap in location all the way in that back right section. Can really take dead aim at it from the fairway. And he did. Eric’s second at the ninth. His final hole today. Perfect angle for that left hand side. That was from 113. Oh, what a way to finish. That’s going to be a great look to get to 12 under and perhaps put him in the final group with Garrick Higgo. And it’s still going. Ricky Castillo just a moment ago is second and 17. Oh, almost made it twice. Yeah, I like this play. Choosing putter. just got the flag stick out and stayed on the ground nicely there. He makes another one. Oh, goodness. Billy Ray, that’s eight out of nine holes he’s made. Birdie, little breeze back into his face here on the UPS slope. 175 starts it right out of the flag. And this is on a terrific line. Yeah. Good gracious. What are we seeing here out of out of Taylor Montgomery? Wow. Dixon in his second at the par 37th. Yeah. Pitching back up the hill off the UPS slope here. Oh, Taylor. Hello there. Hello. Well, suddenly he finds himself on the cusp of perhaps making the cut. He gave it a good run and it goes in. Wow. Frankie Sappin moves to nine underpar which could be even more challenging. Garrick Higgle 13 under par. 6566 the first couple of days. You still think it’s going to be a shootout over the weekend with that excellent weather forecast. Johnson. Yeah, but the pressure is going to mount. It’s going to get a lot more difficult to play coming down the stretch. I think if I had to predict a winning score, I’d say 21. The caddie bird dance at the end made this watch worth it
Not even a camera shot from defending champion. What a highlight
