Looking for opinions before I go drop $600 on a new driver. I'm currently gaming a Callaway Mavrik driver. My goal is to drive 275-300 consistently. I'm currently around 250. I understand that I need to get my ball speed up and hitting the gym to achieve that but want to drop some of my stats from my sim practice this afternoon to get some feedback if a new driver could give me 15-20 yds off the bat with higher ball speed and reduced spin. Just to note, I can hit my 3 wood 250 with minimal effort compared to the driver, it just "pops" off the face, the driver just seems super dead.

It’s your AoA with the driver that’s the problem. You need to learn to hit up :

You mean you hit 237 consistently. That’s your average carry.
What is the loft, shaft length, and setting on the driver? If you are hitting your driver 250 and the 3w 250 you won’t magically pickup 50 yards just by upgrading the driver. Contrary to what advertisements say the tech in the las 5-10 years has diminishing returns. As someone else mentioned look at your angle of attack and also look at where you are impacting on the driver. Driver faces are curved known as roll (top to bottom) and bulge (left to right). If you hit the driver lower on the clubface it is decreasing the effective loft on the driver that on top of a descending angle of attack can cause all kinds of havoc.
Stop hitting down on your balls. That should fix your issue without a new driver.
If you can’t find the centre of the face nothing else matters!!! Your problem is not your driver. This is an operator error.
If you have $600 to spend, then putting that money towards lessons will 1000% be a better use of money than a new driver. To put it differently, your driver is NOT the thing holding you back from your goal.
I would hit on trackman and include Angle of Attack in the numbers. I’m inferring that you hit down on the ball because your spin rates are high and your carry distance is low based on your swing speed with the 3w. Launch angle can be many things, especially if you miss high on the face. It doesn’t tell the whole story. Ideally, you have an AoA hitting +2 to 4° up on your driver.
said the driver that was bleeding and crying from abuse on the course .
upgrade asap….
that steak is well done !
The best thing you can do is add 5 degrees to your launch angle, knock 1000 off your spin. My guess is you need to hit up on the ball. Optimized distance for 150 ball speed is about 275
Tee it up with a big tee …..
put all your extra balls in your back pocket.
Help u get under ….
Hopefully the baby won’t need his diaper changed during the golf session…
Good luck on your journey……..
