Checking off State #17 Harbor Shores Golf Recap in Benton Harbor, Michigan
We had the chance to play Harbor Shores, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course that’s hosted the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship multiple times. It’s a course full of history and challenge.
This year, they’ve also added something new the “We Course”, a fun short course designed for golfers of all skill levels to enjoy together.
What makes Harbor Shores truly unique are the 18 bronze sculptures, one on every hole, created by local artists. Each piece tells a story about the community’s rebirth and connection to Lake Michigan. It feels like you’re playing golf in the middle of an outdoor art gallery.
From dramatic Lake Michigan views, to fairways that wind through wetlands, dunes, and woodlands, every hole gave us something new to capture. We stopped for photos at every sculpture and every hole because honestly, the course is just that beautiful.
For us, Harbor Shores was more than just golf. It was championship history, art, and natural beauty all in one. Definitely a must-play if you’re planning a couples golf trip in Michigan. ❤️⛳️
Experiencing golf courses like this is the kind of experience that makes couples golf unforgettable

We just arrived at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Walking into the clubhouse feels special. You know right away you’re somewhere unique. As you walk in, you see the brand new short course, the Wii Course design. [Music] This isn’t just any golf course. This Jack Nicholas signature design has hosted the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship multiple times, bringing some of the greatest legends in the game right here at Benton Harbor, Michigan. [Music] [Music] All right, Mr. Golf, he’s teeing off on hole number one here at Harbor Shores. We couldn’t ask for a better day, babe. All right, hit him straight. [Music] Okay, I’m safe. First swing of the day. [Music] Nice shot. [Music] What makes Harbor Shores truly one of a kind are the sculptures. Each of the 18 holes feature a unique bronze piece of art telling the story of the community’s rebirth and connection to Lake Michigan. [Music] From tea boxes overlooking Lake Michigan to fairways winding through dunes, wetlands, and woodlands, it’s a blend of challenge, scenery, and creativity you won’t forget. [Music] We are here at number seven, their signature hole here at Harbor Shores. Beautiful beach. You can’t really see it from where we’re at, but as soon as we get to the next tea box and it goes over just this hill behind us right here, there’s the beach that Josh was talking. [Music] Nice shot. [Music] Great shot. Love it. Vera, look at that view. Is that pretty? Yeah. Seven is probably the most photographed just because of Lake Michigan in the background. And when you get up there, it it doesn’t look like a lake. It looks like a ocean. So, and and Mason in the pro shop said that you guys have to keep that beach. Absolutely. That was part of our commitment to the city of Benton Harbor when when we decided to build 78 and 9 uh along the boon uh along the dunes there in uh Jeanclaw Park. So, it’s our responsibility to keep it clean. Uh so, we maintain the beach. All right guys, this is Parker again. There’s signature number seven. They’re [Music] scared. He’s leaving it short. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Hey, hey, [Music] All right, hole 16. The mister just hit his second shot for bird. Bam. Good birdie. This is a tough hole, man. Okay, here we are. Hole number 17, signature hole. It’s happens to be another par three. for finding that they’re all par threes. We like that. All right. Um, if you haven’t followed us already, you know there’s a little bit of a challenge. This is where we go straight up. See how it goes. Great. [Music] Looks pretty little short. What’s your yardage? About 135. Okay. Winds against us. So, I clubbed up a little since the mister was short. [Music] Good shot. Go. Oh, I think we’re about even. Both were a little short. Okay. Well, this makes it more interesting. Okay. We were both short of the green. Watch out. She now chipped it past the hole. [Music] And I’m short going first and oh tap in for bogey. Yep. All right. [Music] This is to win the match. Couple beers on the line. [Music] There it goes. It’s on its way. Oh, [Music] it was a soft touch, but we tied. Until next time. [Music] Arborshores is more than just a round of golf. For us, it’s the kind of experience that makes couples golf unforgettable. [Music] What a joy it was to check off state number 17 playing in Michigan here at Benton Harbor at Harbor Shores Golf Course. Thank you for everything. We will be back. Hey friends, Mr. Mrs. Golf. So, we have a recap for you. We just finished playing Harbor Shores here in Michigan. Benton Harbor, Michigan to be exact. State number 17. It was a blast. This course was beautiful. I mean, it was tough. Yeah, it was quite the challenge. We put up a good number. Um, but it was very scenic, very pretty. Everything that Josh and everyone else had described about almost like playing four different courses was really pretty. You did. You felt like you were in the dunes, then there was the river, and then what were the other two? the uh we’ll have to look it up because I’m going to misquote it, but yeah, essentially like four different courses out there. Um everything was very scenic, very pretty. The staff here was amazing. Oh yeah. Um you can totally see why this would hold, you know, a major championship. Um very very worth the trip to come out here. I agree. And that signature hole, hole number seven, was a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. So that is the one hole that when you get here, you have to take a moment to soak it all in, have a photo op because that backdrop is just amazing. Yeah, just plan cuz as you’re going it it goes up to the green and then you’ll just peek over and see the beach and see everything up there. But it makes this beautiful view on the way up and then when you get to eight T box then you kind of get the reverse view and still get the view of the beach and everything. So amazing. Yep. So, we’re very, very lucky and thankful to everyone that had us out here, Josh and the rest of the team. You did an amazing job today. We can’t wait to come back. Yeah, I agree. Thank you so much. And I hope you guys like the footage and hopefully you guys can come out here and check the course out as well. Absolutely. All right, take care. All right, see you again.
