NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt women’s golf returns to the golf course this weekend for the first time after its victory at September’s Mason Rudolph Championship. The Commodores will head to Highlands Ranch, Colorado, on Friday to compete at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be hosted at the University of Denver Golf Club.

“We’re really excited to be back in Denver,” said head coach Greg Allen. “It’s a place we’ve had success and a golf course that fits our games.”

Vanderbilt last won the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in 2022, running away with a 20-stroke victory. In 2023, the Dores finished third. The team did not compete at the 2024 event.

The field for this weekend’s competition consists of Clemson, Colorado, Colorado State, Denver, Hawaii, New Mexico, Northern Colorado, San Francisco, Texas State, Tulane, UNLV, UTSA, Vanderbilt, Wyoming and Xavier.

“The message will be the same all year – come up with a game plan during the practice round, and then, go out and compete with everything we have for the next three days,” said Allen.

Mason Rudolph runner-up Ava Merrill leads the Vandy squad. Seniors Tillie Claggett and Lynn Lim, both members of the 2022 team, will make the trip. Kathryn Ha and Elizabeth Rudisill round out the lineup. Angelina Tolentino, who finished tied for sixth at the Mason Rudolph, will compete as an individual.

Vanderbilt will tee off the first round with UNLV and Denver at 10:30 a.m. CT on Friday. Live scoring for the event can be found on BirdieFire.
