Since it’s finals time, we thought it’d be apt to make Cam Smith make the hard calls on who he’d start, bench and cut across this Melbourne Storm team.

Would you have chosen differently?

Well, I don’t really know what month’s going to give me. So, this is a game called start, bench, cut. Oh, okay. I’m going to give you three players. Yes. And you’re going to tell me who you’re going to start, who’s going to be on the bench, and who you’re cutting for your squad. Okay. It’s going to be challenging, and you probably want to say I don’t want to cut any of them, but that’s not part of the game. Right. Okay. Well, that’s all right. Okay. Your first three players, Ryan Papenhousen, Cam Monster, Jerome Hughes. Um, I’m starting Hughesy. Yep. I think he’s, you know, out of those out of those three, he’s he he plays with like the most control or the most most direction. So, I need him to start. I think Papenhausen would be great off the bench. Just add a bit of spark when the boys are down and and monster. Well, I don’t really know what month’s going to give me, so I’m cutting him. Get rid of him. He’s out. Yeah, it’s well thought through. But we’ll move some forwards from the Melbourne guys. Ryan Hoffman, Feliz Kussi, or Christian Welsh. Right. Okay. So, I’m going to start Ryan Hoffman. Big engine, ultra consistent, um performs well in big games as well. So, I’m going to start him. Uh Feliz Kafussi, impact player again, just explosive, powerful. Um can can play back row, can play front row. Um so, I’m going to bring him off the bench. And Christian Welsh, he’s um Yeah, he’s he’s going to have a he’s going to have a a watch from the stands. Yeah. Right. Yeah. I’m happy to sit him off.
