I fell a bit akward in my swing and im not sure why. My club head speed should also be faster with my driver, my 7iron is 76mph but driver only 87mph so maybe I'm doing something wrong there.

FYI I have put up good shots, not every shot is like this I often leak out my irons or chunk them, and my driver just goes like every direction

Looked ok to me but you are Probably best to get a lesson. Can always do a swing speed programme to increase speed. Only thing is if swing ain’t right speed won’t just fix it, will still leak distance from technique

Too inside on takeaway resulting in OTT inconsistency.

  4. Beneficial_Bid2536

You’re doing awesome! Honestly just work on your core strength and focus on speed and strike. Just little half shots work great to focus on hitting out of the middle!

Takeaway looks a little too inside but other than that looks like a really nice swing. Keep grinding and maybe get a couple of lessons and you will get more consistent.

You’re probably better than everyone on this app.

  7. This is gonna sound dumb but it helped fix my contact issues and I can’t really tell from this angle if it will help but thought I might as well share it in case it helps.

Everyone talks about having relaxed arms at setup but that does not work for me since when my arms relax my lead arm is pretty bent.

Therefore, when I release the club and extend my arms it brings my low point further back than it would be at setup since my left arm is now extended.

Do your normal setup with the clubhead on the ground but let your lead arm extend out, you don’t need to keep it super tense and locked but just extend it like tommy here

You will feel farther from the ball but this is your true low point basically.

That awkward feeling you talk about is probably needing to save the clubhead from hitting the ground but still somehow releasing it properly. At least it was for me lol.

Start the takeaway by shifting pressure in your feet and then turning your body. You’re starting the takeaway with your arms, making your takeaway too much to the inside and killing the ideal flow of pressure in your feet. It all stems from this.
Pressure shift in the feet -> Body turn
    Start the swing like that.

Still yet to see a bad left handed swing lol

Your swing looks great. The club head speed doesn’t seem very out of line either. The best tour players seem to have a driver head speed of 1.2-1.25x the 7i for men and women. You’re slightly under that but not wildly off. If you were an LPGA tour player you’d have a driver clubhead speed around 93mph based on your 7i speed.

Looking at trackman’s available info scratch or better avg driver speed would be 90mph+, 5hdcp – 87mph. 10hdcp 83mph. In other words you have excellent clubhead speed, but based on your really good 7i speed you likely have a couple more mph in the tank for your driver swing.

I would do unforgivable things to have this swing.

Slightly flat but other than that looks really good

From the camera angle (wish it was more DTL) it looks like your takeaway is far too inside.

  14. ChartiersPanthers473

Too inside on takeaway. Hands too close to the body.

Good rotation but need to get arms and clubhead away from the body and drop into the slot on the way down. Shallow it out. Will help with speed

i mean, it looks good. maybe work on your hamstrings so you get your hips into it a bit more if you start is a more squat position instead of bending your back. but that swing looks goooood

  16. AdmirableGear6991

For starters, you’re standing on the wrong side of the ball.

  17. CMDR_NTHWK

Overall good swing. Takeaway is a bit inside – which will cause over the top/steep shaft on the way down, which means path has a tendency to work right for you – from there its going to depend on clubface – if you keep it open, it will leak left and fade, if you close it up (like your second swing), it will pull right or start right and draw.

I would work on takeaway – place a ball a few feet behind your ball and on your takeaway gwt the clubhead over the second ball as you hinge up.

also if you are hitting both left and right, that probably means your grip could use some work. Make sure your grip is neutral and not too strong or weak. grip trainers can be bought online for very cheap and you just clip them to your clubs as you practice.

Driver is a tough club because so little loft, so dispersion will be higher. You fix this by adjusting your aim to give yourself the most fairway you can.

Swing looks great to me. What’s your miss? If it’s simply speed you’re after, try some speed training exercises. Some of the shit Bryson does, but idk less nuts. Also I would think a lot of work in the gym is necessary for big speed gains. Technique-wise, you have a great swing.

Frankly, I think it looks pretty darn good. If your shots consistently go left or right, it’s likely due to an improper grip/opening/closing of the face. This doesn’t result in square contact, as I’ve been told. I’m no professional, but my instructor who I’ve recently started getting lessons from is close to it and this is what he told me lol

Ok, I am a lefty as well but only at golf and at the plate in baseball. I do everything else right handed. I think someone saying you had good swing mechanics and they are correct You have the idea but where you are messing up #1 is asking a question like that on here for all these people that don’t know what they’re talking about to try to be your instructor. However you will get some good advice on here but remember it’s just advice. What I see right away is that with your irons and your driver your stance is way too wide. If you have someone there with you get them to kind of stand in front of you and as you take your stance get them to kind of shove you not hard but just so you can see where you have the most balance it. Remember to keep your weight on the front with your irons and with your driver stance will be a little wider but just remember you are going to be canted back. Put you something on the back of your ball you can’t see from the top but when you get in the right position you will be able to see it. When I’ve learned is being able to hold your pose in the end because you have good balance kind of makes everything else work out. Going to hit the driver on the upswing. Don’t try to lift it though. And just opposite on irons. Ball position is everything Just remember to keep weight forward and try to compress the ball. Just try to imagine what you need to do to make that ball spin backwards with an iron. Shorter irons towards middle of stance and driver/woods/long irons towards front. Just look at Bubba Watson his swing is not pretty but he makes millions. And BTW did I mention I teach beginner golf for a living

Your swing looks excellent to me
