Series runs October through April with a 1 p.m. start
Orange Beach, Ala. — (OBA) — The Orange Beach Golf Center is bringing back its monthly Skins Tournaments for the cooler months. The series is designed for friendly competition and community fun. Players of all levels are welcome. The format and fee are simple. The schedule is easy to remember.
The Skins Tournaments will be held on the first Sunday of each month from October through April. Each tournament begins with a shotgun start at 1 p.m., and registration opens at 12 p.m. The opening date is Sunday, October 5.
Each month’s entry fee is $30 for members and non-members alike. That one fee covers the closest-to-the-pin competitions, Skins, the Hole-in-One chance, and the tournament entry. There are no add-on charges for these contests.
Organizers emphasize that the public is welcome. The layout is approachable, which makes the series a good fit for newer golfers. Experienced players will still find competitive targets on the par-3 course.
The Orange Beach Golf Center is located at 4700 Easy Street, just off Canal Road. The location is central and easy to reach for residents and visitors.
Outside of tournament play, the 9-hole, par-3 course maintains its regular hours. The course is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The lighted driving range operates from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.
The shotgun start keeps play moving and brings groups together at the same time. Registration at noon gives staff time to organize the field. Players are encouraged to arrive early to warm up on the range.
Closest-to-the-pin contests add extra excitement on par-3 holes. A Skins format rewards the best score on a hole when it stands alone. The Hole-in-One component adds a high-drama shot on tournament day.
Staff members note that the series is built to be consistent and affordable. One price and recurring dates make it easy to plan. The first-Sunday rhythm also helps returning players reconnect each month.
