FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — The first day of the 2025 Ryder Cup is in the books.
Europe holds a 5½-2½ advantage over the Americans after the opening day at Bethpage Black. After winning the morning foursomes 3-1, the Euros also won the afternoon 2½-1½ and have control looking for their first road Ryder Cup win in 13 years.

For the Americans, arguably their two best players in Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau both went 0-2. For the Europeans, Jon Rahm and Tommy Fleetwood both went 2-0 while Rory McIlroy is unbeaten at 1-0-1.
