After a two-week break, the PGA Tour returns on Thursday with the annual Sanderson Farms Championship. This tournament has been a fun one over the past few years, with the past six editions all decided by one stroke or a playoff — and the last six winners posted an average score of nearly 20 under par.
With such a track record of closely-contested tournaments — and a one of the more lengthy courses on TOUR in the Country Club of Jackson (Mississippi) — it’s no surprise that Sanderson Farms generates a ton of betting interest each year.
California native and world No. 34 Akshay Bhatia enters the weekend as the betting favourite. Reigning Sanderson Farms champ Kevin Yu sits near the top of the odds board, too. Others in the top six include Min Woo Lee, Michael Thorbjornsen, Rasmus Hojgaard and Davis Thompson.
Let’s have a look at the betting odds for the 2025 Sanderson Farms Championship in Mississippi, then let betting expert Sloan Piva outline his picks and predictions for the PGA Tour event.

Min Woo Lee (23/1, Betfair)
Min Woo Lee has strength and accuracy off the tee, and his recent form has been outstanding. He finished T11 at the BMW PGA Championship and T5 at the Open de France, the latter of which he ranked first in the field in driving distance and accuracy.
Like Open de France course Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche, the Country Club of Jackson runs long. Nobody in this weekend’s shallow player pool can tackle a 7,461-yard, par-72 course like Lee. Pick him to win his sixth career tournament.

Sanderson Farms Championship top value bet
Rico Hoey (40/1, Betfair)
Like Min Woo Lee, Rico Hoey serves as one of the strongest drivers in the field. He has also picked it up of late with his flat-stick, so we’re putting a modest wager on the Filipino this weekend.
Don’t like Hoey’s outright odds? Consider betting him 7/2 to finish in the top 10, which he recently did at the Procore Championship (T9).

Sanderson Farms Championship top long-shot bet
Sam Stevens (60/1, Virgin Bet)
Like our other two picks, Stevens is long and strong off the tee. He also has an above-average approach game and solid scrambling skills. We’re taking Sam as our top long-shot bet and possibly sprinkling a modest 13/5 wager on him to finish in the top 20.
