Golf handicap improvement: Week 2 of my challenge to drop from 22 to 15 index! Shot a 91 on greens that were aerated ten days ago.
My ball striking improved thanks to a swing thought I had forgotten about from a lesson last year but the strategy I used on #10 will help you. The course management strategy I share works under pressure – exactly what mid handicap golfers need to improve.
If you’re working on golf improvement to lower your handicap index or struggling with blow up holes, this proven approach gets results. No complicated swing theory – just smart golf strategy that works.
Follow my complete 52-week journey from 22 handicap to 15. Real rounds, real golf scores, real improvement for golfers who want to get better.

My swing thought improved my driving by more than three strokes. But what I did on number 10 will help you way more. The driving improvement came from remembering a swing thought I had forgotten from a lesson last year. But that’s not what you need to hear. 405 yd par4. I crushed my drive 251 yards, but it went through the fairway into rough on a down slope. I could go for it with my 7wood, a shot I’m not comfortable with, or play it safe. I chose smart, laid up to about 100 yards, hit a wedge next to the green, and it was a chip in a park for a bogey. One decision that prevented double or worse. Stop chasing hero shots. Play for bogey.
