RICHMOND, Va. – Charleston’s Emilie von Finckenstein captured CAA Women’s Golfer of the Week on Wednesday after securing a runner-up finish at her program’s hosted event earlier this week.

The Cougars’ von Finckenstein picked up a second-place mark in a shortened Tot Hill Farm Invitational in Asheboro, N.C., shooting a 1-over 145. The junior bounced back from a 2-over opening round with a 1-under 71 in the second round. The Hamburg, Germany product began her second day with back-to-back birdies on the first two holes before finishing with four birdies on the afternoon and seven in total. It marked the second straight season von Finckenstein has captured a runner-up finish in the Cougars’ Tot Hill Farm Invitational.
