Lopatcong, NJ – On Monday and Tuesday, the La Salle women’s golf team team participated in the Autumn Harvest at The Architects Golf Club in Lopatcong, NJ. Each hole is modeled after the design of a different famous golf course architect, making for a unique par-71 experience.
The Explorers turned in a few of their best individual rounds on the young season. Freshman Jewel Schaefer shot a 79 (+8) in her second round on day one, while senior Hannah Gammons delivered a 78 (+7) featuring two birdies on the back nine in her final round. Senior Nina Okenkova finished second on the team, continuing her steady play. So far this season, every round of hers has fallen between +13 and +15. Sophomore Samantha Song and freshman Sarah Doherty rounded out the Explorers’ efforts. Song shot a 83 (+12) on in round one while Doherty turned in a season-best 86 (+15) in round two.
With only four days off before their next tournament begins, the Explorers will next be in action. at the Evann Parker Memorial at Lake View Country Club in North East, PA. The tournament, hosted by Mercyhurst, will play host to the Blue and Gold for the first time.
