European captain Anna Nordqvist has added a third vice-captain to her backroom panel for the 2026 Solheim Cup which will be held at Bernardus Golf in North Brabant, in the Netherlands.
And in doing so, she’s guaranteed Dutch representation by naming Anne van Dam.
It will be a busy week for van Dam, who was part of the 2019 Solheim Cup team that won in dramatic fashion at Gleneagles, as she will also be serving as captain of the PING Junior Solheim Cup European team before assisting Nordqvist, Mel Reid and Caroline Hedwall, who the Swede had already named as vice-captains.
“I’m thrilled to have Anne join our team as a Vice Captain for the 2026 Solheim Cup,” Nordqvist said.
“She brings valuable experience as a player, but just as importantly, she brings energy, passion, and a strong connection to our host country.
“Anne will be a fantastic influence on team spirit, and her presence off the course will be just as impactful, helping us connect with Dutch fans as well as showing us all the great things the Netherlands has to offer.
“She’ll play a key role in making this a truly unforgettable Solheim Cup.”
The Solheim Cup takes place from 7-13 September, 2026, and the United States will come in as defending champions having won the trophy back from the Europeans at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia last September.
