Rolex has deepened its ties with Australian Golf, announcing a landmark five-year partnership that cements its status as one of the sport’s most prestigious global backers.
The agreement extends the Swiss watchmaker’s long-standing association with Golf Australia to encompass both the men’s and women’s Australian Open championships. At the same time, Rolex has broadened its “premier” partnership with the PGA of Australia to include the WPGA Championship, bringing the women’s professional event into its sponsorship portfolio.
This expansion means Rolex will now be aligned with all four of Australia’s flagship tournaments: the BMW Australian PGA Championship, the men’s and women’s Australian Opens, and the WPGA Championship. The brand will also continue in its role as official timekeeper of the BMW Australian PGA Championship, further strengthening its visibility at one of the nation’s most historic golf events.
Beyond the headline tournaments, Rolex will remain a major partner of the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia and the WPGA Tour of Australasia, providing vital support for the development of emerging talent and the professional pathway across the region.
commenting on the occasion, Rolex Australia General Manager, Benoit Falletti, said, “Golf embodies values Rolex holds dear – respect for tradition, precision, perseverance, and sporting excellence. We are honoured to continue this journey with Golf Australia, the PGA of Australia, and the WPGA.”
Gold Australia’s CEO James Sutherland, added, “Rolex has been synonymous with excellence, tradition, and innovation in golf for decades. We are proud to welcome Rolex as a partner of Golf Australia, and know that their generous commitment will further elevate Australia’s major men’s and women’s tournaments and aid us in our endeavours to inspire more Australians to play more golf.”
Expressing his enthusiasm, PGA of Australia CEO, Gavin Kirkman, continued, “We’re delighted that Rolex’s partnership with Australian golf now encompasses all four of our major events. Rolex is a tremendous supporter of our game worldwide and it’s exciting for all of us that their commitment to golf in our region continues to grow.”
The partnership provides Golf Australia and the PGA of Australia with long-term commercial certainty while reinforcing the country’s place in Rolex’s global golf portfolio, which includes The Masters, The Open, and the Ryder Cup. With this renewed backing secured through 2030, Australian golf’s governing bodies aim to deliver stronger flagship events, expand pathways for rising players, and enhance the nation’s stature on the international stage.
