Milford, CT – The Hofstra women’s golf team concluded the first day of play in the the SHU Fall Classic Monday in 10th place. The Pride sit in 10th out of the 15-team field with a first round 329 (+29).

Second round play was suspended Monday evening due to darkness and will resume Tuesday morning prior to third round play commencing at Great River Golf Club in Milford, CT. 

Kaylie Porter paced the Pride with a first round score of 76 (+4) to tie for ninth place out of the 75-player field. Mari Rodriguez shot a first round 83 (+11) to tie for 35th, while Regina Cantu Chavez sits tied for 47th at 84 (+12). Natalie Moody is tied for 54th at 86 (+14) and Sadie Anderson is in 72nd place at 93 (+21) following the first round of play.

The SHU Fall Classic continues Tuesday morning at 7:15 a.m. with the completion of the second round, followed by the third and final round of play.
