Hey guys, welcome back to Modern Golf. Today we’re talking about the hottest things in the golf industry for the fall of 2025. So, if you’re new here, my name is Jeff. This is Modern Golf. We review everything for golf, from equipment to apparel to shoes to tech, really everything in between. Today, we’re talking about the hottest items in golf. And what we do is we talk to PR reps, manufacturer reps, really golf industry experts, as well as we throw in our two cents of what are the hottest things in the golf industry for the fall. We’re going to make this list. It’s pretty extensive this time. Um, we have a lot of feedback going, which is kind of surprising going into fall. Um, but these are some very cool new products, some things that kind of are new discovered, and then some also kind of some very cool things we’re looking forward to seeing in hand. So, we’re going to go through this list very rapidly, but again, these are the hottest things in golf for the fall of 2025. First thing we’re going to talk about are golf bags. We love our golf bags here at Modern Golf. We’ve tested almost 100 bags this year. So, let’s talk about what golf bags are really kind of getting the buzz uh so far in the fall. The first one that we talked about uh and it’s been buzzing really in the last couple years, and that’s Ghost. So, Ghost has launched this new series kind of these limited edition colorways. We just saw the Azoro which has the kind of the blue. Now we’ve seen some other colors coming through. I am counting down the days until we get my lime green one or bright neon yellow, whatever color they decide to go with. Um that is a bag I’ll be checking out. But any day and really all their accessory bags have these crazy new colorways. The next thing up the next thing up is the Sunmount and Maruchcci golf bags. And we had talked about these earlier in the year. They are launched. You can buy them on Golf Galaxy, I believe, and Dicks, I think mostly Golf Galaxy. They’re $2,000. They ain’t cheap. Uh Joel Damon had these on tour earlier in the year. Very cool golf bags, but one of our favorites. I’m hoping I probably won’t get one in person, but hopefully we’ll see one. Uh we saw one in January at the PJ show. Hopefully, we see one that we can test and kind of review at some point this fall or winter. The other things that people have been talking about are the Vessel standbags, the players five. A lot of new colorways. I got to tell you, stay tuned. Uh they have some colorways coming uh that are phenomenal. Uh really some gorgeous. I mean, just be prepared, people. I’m I’m warning you now. Save your money. Wait till another month or two and wait till you see what Vessel has in store. But Vessel is still very, very buzzing in the golf industry. Afternoon bags. We talked about this a number of times. We had just reviewed them about a month or so ago. This is that golf bag where you literally buy the core and the skins. A lot of feedback going on with these golf bags. I’m telling you guys, this is going to be kind of a new trend of how the industry thinks they’re going to start making golf bags. I’m telling you, forewarning, this is going to be the start of a new trend with these afternoon golf bags. Ask Echo, we did a review, oh god, two weeks ago of their newly launched, and it’s right over here, uh, cart bag with their, they call it their Lux series. I think it’s the SLC130 uh with that kind of a lock top. Uh we are loving it. I think you guys will get a kick out of this golf bag once you use it. People ask me, is it great for jumbo grips? No. I would say midsize and standard grips for their lockin uh bags is probably what I would suggest. If you have a grip that’s this big, it’s probably not going to fit. So, that is what we have for golf bags. Next category up are golf clubs. And there are a ton of things that people have been telling us about from club fitters to our friends at Club Champion to Golf Galaxy. Really, everybody who we talked to, these are the things that are buzzing regarding equipment and clubs. First thing up, and this shouldn’t surprise anybody, is the brand new Lab Oz, but in the HS, which is the uh Huzzle option or heel shafted, however you want to look at it. Um, definitely one of the most popular putters still going to this day. Uh, you’ll see our review on ours here shortly. Very cool putter. I will tell you it’s not what we thought it would be. The other thing which is getting a lot of buzz, uh, which really shouldn’t surprise me, but the price point surprises me, I guess, more than anything is the Voki SM10 oil can wedges. Just around 200 bucks for a wedge, which is almost crazy these days. U, but that’s what they’re going for. But a lot of people are talking about them and love the new finish. We have talked about this a number of times. I’ll be very quick. Ping G440 series. Uh I think it’s the most forgiving, maybe best uh player friendly equipment we have in 2025. Uh I personally have been gaming a G440 Max driver. I don’t know if I’ve ever hit a driver better than this uh driver. In in 30 years of playing, this thing is incredible. Forgiving, long, everything you would ever want in a driver and then some. this Ping series has. When I asked my guys a club champion recently, what’s the best irons going? Like for mid to low handicap, what’s the most club you’re seeing that get incredible feedback and people are buying? And that’s the Shrixon series. Um shouldn’t shock anybody. They’re really solid irons, but these guys have told me they’re selling almost 2 to one the Shrixon next to the nearest competitor. one of the putters that we’ve tested and we really like and I’ll put the information up as we go. This is the Ping PLD Blue. This is one of the most gorgeous looking mallet putters um that we have tested and use and really with some incredible feedback. They’ve done something a little differently. They didn’t feel that players wanted that center shafted look uh which a lot of us don’t. So, they kind of pulled it back a little bit and I’ll put pictures up and it plays incredibly well. I would say zero torqueish. Um, but we absolutely have loved this one, but this is a putter that is collecting a lot of buzz. Uh, certainly even on tour, uh, but certainly in the retail side of things. Another putter that a lot of people have talked about, uh, my guy Mike at Club Champion has playing this, absolutely loves it. That’s the Tailor Made Spider counterbalance. I think it’s 37 38 in long. He’s raving about it. I have tested it a little bit. It is a very very good putter. Surprisingly, um I am not a huge fan of tailor made spider putters. I they this close on me. I don’t like it. The center shafted one is really good. Uh hopefully we’ll have a review of this probably end of fall, beginning of winter, but really have liked it and a lot of people are talking about this Tailor Made putter. Speaking of tailor made, tailor made P790 battleworn irons. Um, has this very unique finish to it. I don’t know how long it lasts. I’ve had a lot of people have asked us about it like, “Hey, what do you think of this?” I’ve seen them. I haven’t tested them. Um, we’ll see how well these do, but a really cool look. I really enjoy when these brands try something new. We’ll see how these do longterm, but very cool pattern battleworn look uh for the new Tailor Made irons. Two things left with equipment. Uh both with wedges, which is kind of an anomaly here. Uh Mizuno came out with the Pro T1 wedge. Uh we were just testing it a couple days ago. Really like it. Uh again, not an inexpensive wedge. I hopefully we’ll get our hands on one again in the fall and really test out all its capabilities as we go, but very cool. The last one, which is kind of this threw me out, this came out of nowhere for me. Swag Times Cleveland Golf with Benjamin Franklin and Abraham Lincoln and all the presidents on the not the face but the backside of wedges. Very cool collaboration. Uh again, who saw this thing coming? But really, that’s the last thing we really have enjoyed seeing and it has a lot of buzz uh in golf equipment for the fall of 2025. Let’s get into some other things kind of related to clubs and that’s grips. First thing is we’ve been testing uh and I was going to say this for later, but I’ll give you guys a sneak peek. We’ve been testing these Dragon Skin grips. Um I don’t know if you’ve ever checked them out. They’re around $17 each. I’m really really impressed so far. Uh we’ll have a full review maybe in the next couple months uh once we really get to test them with with we test them in warm weather. We are now heading into cooler weather and rainy weather. We’ll see how they do with different climates, but so far we are absolutely loving them. The other grips, which again, I didn’t see this coming was Swag came out with these grips for putters. Um, but very, very cool with the grip side of things. Golf shoes. What’s getting the buzz? There’s a lot here. My list is long for uh going into October, very surprisingly. First side is first one up is East Side Golf um and Nike. Uh, a very cool collaboration came out with these two styles. I like them. I’m a big fan of blue as you guys can tell. The other one is painter golf. Painters come out with this. I think they call it gator look. It uh has almost to me it looks like Jordan 11s and I’ll put pictures up. You can kind of compare them. Uh, I know Jason Day has a number of colors from olive green to brown to this black one. Very cool looking golf shoes. Painter is one of our favorite golf shoes. If you haven’t had a chance, check out our full review of the top golf shoes uh this year. Painter was on the list, a lot of other brands, and we give you really the best options for uh hard spike, soft spike, price points, what do we like, most comfortable, all those different things. Another shoe that was on that list that has also now kind of been, I won’t say rebranded, but they launched a different version of it, and that’s the G4 MG4. Uh we had the O2 lock, which was the spike, replaceable spike one. They have now launched a soft spike version. We’re hoping to get our hands on these at some point here uh this fall and test. and and if we do uh and we have time, we’ll definitely do a full review of those. Um again, one of the most comfortable golf shoes really in the golf industry this year. Two shoes left that are getting a ton of buzz, especially these next two. Uh True Linkear came out. They’re OG 3 Pro hightop made for crappy weather. Uh I’m loving this shoe. There’s two colorways. Uh a cloud color, which is like an off-white and black. This is right out of kind of Nike ACG uh aesthetics. I’m all I am all for this. Uh hopefully again we’ll try to get our hands on one of these and test it and tell you what we think. Um but really really great golf shoes. And last thing up and I’d be remiss to skip over this one because I literally get emails and messages every day on social media. Sunday Red. Um what’s going on with Sunday Red? You haven’t reviewed their shoes. What exactly is going on? I can tell you we are in the process. We have tested some of them. We are in the process of getting these reviews done. We will have them here shortly. But I got to tell you, the shoe that I think is gets the biggest buzz uh from Sunday Red is the new Osprey. That’s the soft spike. I think you could almost wear this casually shoe. Great looking shoe. It is sold out I don’t know how many times already. If you go on their website now and try to get white and black or all na the all black or the white and navy I should say, they’re sold out. You can get them on other places like Golf Galaxy, I think, and some other stores, but if you go direct to uh if you go direct to Sunday Red, they do not have them. They’re selling out that quick. So, a couple things and then we’ll get moving on out of your way here. Clothing. Uh two brands that uh we have really enjoyed and getting a lot of buzz. Ran uh R Ho N who does a lot of I would say athletic apparel, athleisure, has really kind of quietly um got into the golf space. And if you check out their products, they are phenomenal looking. Really, really cool looking pieces. Um hopefully we’ll check them out if again not this fall, certainly in the winter and going into spring to check out how they hold up and all that stuff. But R H O N E R has some very very cool pieces. The other brand which I am loving, I’m wearing uh and again this should be no shock to anybody is Under Armour. I am loving what Under Armour has been doing in the last couple years. um kind of rebranding some things, kind of not relying on Jordan Speed as much and and has some neat things with like and I’ll put a polo up here that we just got um from Steph Curry’s line. Uh some great hoodies like this. You can see this is for the RDER Cup kind of side of things. Under Armour is doing an incredible good job u and I’m telling you, do not sleep on them. One thing I will tell you about Under Armour, which I personally like, is the way this stuff fits. Uh it has tighter arm holes. it. It’s like they listen to people who actually use this stuff. The arm holes aren’t this big. You can actually function in this stuff. The stuff fits great. It lasts long. I know I sound like a commercial for Under Armour, but I’m really have been impressed really in the last 18 months, two years of what Under Armour is doing to totally change um their golf line. Let’s talk sunglasses here real quick. Um, two pairs that I want to talk about and we’re going to do a full review here down the road, but just want to kind of give you two pairs that a lot of people have been talking about. Uh, we just got our hands on the one and we are loving and I’ll kind of explain as we go. But the first pair is I think it’s pronounced John Do. I know Ernie Ell’s. I don’t know financially backed or wearing these or or what his relationship is with these. These glasses are in a nice way maybe the nicest glasses for golf I’ve ever put on my face. Uh we’ll do a full review of all these glasses as we go. The other one I wanted to mention is Tofosi. And I know you guys are probably bored. I always mention Tofosi glasses. They just came out with some other new pairs with this um zero to dark type lenses where you literally go from crystal clear to dark while you’re golfing. I got to tell you, these lenses are so clear. Everyone who I have showed these to um said, “Oh my god, this is so clear.” We’ll do a full review of all these glasses. I have I think 30 different pairs this year here shortly. Um but John Doe and Tofosi are glasses that everyone’s talking about. Uh and Tofosi really for the value uh that you get. Let’s talk about golf gloves real quick. Uh we had just done our review. If you haven’t checked them out, check them out. Um, a couple brands that we really wanted to mention, uh, that we probably couldn’t get into detail about. One is Duke Delcosma came out GL or came out with gloves maybe a year or so ago. We’ve been testing them. They didn’t make the list because we didn’t get them in in a lot of different guys hands. Just eye tested them and one other guy, but really cool and very neat uh, golf gloves. And if you haven’t checked out, I think he just restocked. Um, so check them out before they sell out again. My guy uh at FourLinks Golf uh his gloves are super good. Again, if you buy more than three, I think they’re 19 bucks and maybe the best value in golf gloves you can get. Uh again, there’s no affiliate links with me with them, but check out their gloves. Really good. Lot of great golf gloves. Uh if you haven’t checked out our review, definitely check it out. We list all the gloves that we feel are the best by price point. Uh 7iron Golf are phenomenal. Red Rooster, we love some of the Foot Jos, but check out that review um that we did a couple weeks ago. Let’s talk golf balls real quick. Uh, two that are still buzzing. One is just hitting the stores here again. First one is a Prov1X Left Dash. Uh, if you are a I would say 20 handicap on down, check out the Left Dash. Um, I’m not saying it should be your everyday ball, but play a sleeve or two. Uh, and you tell me if there’s a better golf ball than that one. The one that I think is very close to it is the new Maxfly Tour X. Again, about half the price of the Prov1. stupid good golf ball. Uh if you are on the down low with Max Fly and you don’t want your buddies to know what you’re playing, uh it is a great golf ball. We loved it. We think it’s one of the best golf balls. Uh we will do a full review on the best golf balls later this year. But check out the Maxfly Tour X. It’s still getting a ton of buzz and and the Max probably why this ball doesn’t get a ton of buzz. Uh because you can only get it at Dicks and Golf Galaxy. I think if it was a national brand that you could get everywhere. I know you can order from Golf Galaxy, but I think if it was like a titalist, I think people would be going bananas over this golf ball. Couple things we’re going to wrap up. First, we’re going to talk about tech. What’s buzzing in golf tech? First, rangefinders. Rangefinders are now are using AI. They’re using weather. They’re using weather maps. They’re using wind conditions. Um it the technology has gone crazy and I am here for it. uh to all these manufacturers and brands. I am here for what you guys are doing. It has been crazy crazy good. I will be honest, I am not a huge fan of rangefinders, but I can tell you this new range of of rangefinders um from having the screens on them and the and the AI technology and the club recommendations. It is it is phenomenal. Um we are really really impressed. We’ll have a full uh review of all the best rangefinders here by the end of the year. But we really love the technology, what we’re seeing in rangefinders. Before I get to the last thing, I got to ask you guys, and I really need your feedback. How many of you guys use an app on your phone when you’re playing as almost like your rangefinder or your GPS? And then how many of you guys just use a separate device? Um, and the reason I’ll get into this, and I I promise I won’t be long, is I don’t love using my phone. My phone normally will sit in my golf bag. Um, and I don’t really touch it. I don’t like to be bothered. Now, listen, I should have something out um where if my family or someone needs to get a hold of me, I can do that. And I do check my phone periodically, but I’m always interested to see how many people actually use their phone or a device. I’m a device guy because it’s a separate thing. It’s easier for me if I damage it or break it. I don’t care versus, you know, a $1,200 phone. Uh, and first of all, my phone barely fits in a cup holder anymore. But how many of you guys use your phone on an app? And then what apps do you really like? And then how many of you say, “No, my phone stays away or I just text or take phone calls or what have you and I use other devices?” I’m interested. Let me know. Hit me up in the comment section or email me at jeffjfffodern m odrolf.com. I I’m really serious. Let me know um what you guys are using. I really would like the feedback because we have something planned next year, but I really am trying to get an idea of what’s going on. Lastly, practice tools. For a lot of us, we are heading into uh dare I say the offseason. I don’t know if there’s much of an offseason for me, but for most of us when when I had a normal golf life, there was an offseason. How many of you practice either indoors, you play indoors, what have you? There are three practice tools that we love. Check out our full review of all our practice tools. I know I sound like a commercial for our reviews, but check out our reviews. But three that I absolutely love. The net returns net. It It’s the Cadillac, the gold standard of nets by far. Don’t even bother looking for something else. It’s that good. Uh the divot board, which we love. I tell you, the divot board, if if I’m going to tell you to to get one practice tool this year, it would be the divot board. Um it just literally shows you everything you’re doing or not doing with your golf swing, and you don’t even need to hit a golf ball. You literally can hit it anywhere in your living room, your bedroom, wherever. The last thing that we really like, and that’s the wedge, and I’ll put this up again. If you combine this with any of these other tools, uh, I think your practice skills are going to be so accelerated over this winter and fall with these practice tools. Um, so I hope you guys like this. Hopefully, it wasn’t too long, but these are the things that people are talking about really in the golf industry, end of summer going into fall. If you guys any have any questions, again, let us know. Again, thank you for all your people who are new subscribing. We really appreciate you guys. Uh be prepared. A lot of fun stuff coming up uh here shortly with some giveaways and that kind of stuff. So, if you’re new here, please like, please subscribe, and we will see you guys next time. Thanks, guys.

  1. I tried using the phone app. I found it inconvenient. I use a Garmin S44 watch and it synchs with my phone. I still keep my rangefinder handy.

  2. I use Golf Pad on my phone which goes to my Apple Watch. I’m wearing the watch already and the phone can sit in the cart in one of the shelves. It’s accurate enough for me and if I need better, I bring out the laser finder.

  3. Im brand new to playing golf. I've been to ranges etc over the years but actually playing a course I've gone once. Went with a friend I grew up with and reunited after 20 plus years. He took me golfing (which was appreciated since im a rookie and seasoned guys don't like taking new guys out). His only requirement was phone is put on silent. He had a speaker/ distance finder. Worked out great.

  4. I've been using my phone with TheGrint so I can keep score and my handicap updates accordingly. It's much more convenient if you have the pro version since it goes to my watch, but it can be a little glitchy sometimes. Had to get a phone holder to make it more convenient (ended up getting a RokForm magnetic case for carts and their bike mount works great on my push cart) keep going back and forth on whether I prefer my range finder and just a pencil to keep score 🤷‍♂️

  5. Apple Watch w/ The Grint App is the perfect set up. If a hole has an aggressive slope i tend to use a range finder. But its great to have general distances and keep score on your watch.

  6. Hey love the videos keep up the good work! Just wanted to know if you could do a cool accessories video like divot tools, ball markers and headcovers!
