but I just don’t see how team Europe don’t win the rider Cup this year I mean I I do I see that pretty comfortably in fact every single Rider cup I see pretty easily how team Europe don’t win the rider cup because it’s in our nature to be pessimistic all the time but it’s also every time we approach the rider cup uh team team America are always playing like incredible golf Stacks full of major Champions all the rest of it now we all know from the past and from previous iterations of the r cup that this doesn’t always play out in the result but I really can’t get excited too much about an event at the start of the year which has really no bearing on the rder cup I think it was nice it was a nice watch but like realistically what did we learn from this event that we wouldn’t already know

  1. I am a Canadian and have always viewed the Ryder Cup as the penultimate event in golf.

It is interesting the great Dane golfer Thomas Bjorn was honored with the captaincy, as well as an undeniable coincidence.

The American president and his administration has opening threatened Denmark saying he will use “any means necessary” to acquire Greenland.

At the same time, he has threatened to annex Canada (and Mexico) using economic might to weaken our economy and country through 25 percent and higher tariffs, keeping in mind we have shared open, friendly borders for over a century.

He had unilaterally turned his back on European allies; sided with the murderous Putin regime who he admires; and betrayed Ukraine who are being bombarded by Russian planes.

It is my view that the European team should boycott the event.

There are more important things than golf.

  2. Ryder Cup is definitely more important to European fans than us. The importance of this event is lost on a lot of us. We, here in the US, have been too conditioned to be interested in individual stroke play. Plus, we are in the midst of American football season.

Also, I remember a few Ryder Cups ago, eight of the twelve euro players had their primary residence in Florida. Ten of the twelve euros went to D1 schools here in the US. It is more of a competition between Floridians and Texans, who split themselves up by where they happened to be born.

  3. why does anyone think this is an "away" venue for Team Europe. 90% of the team lives in the US and plays the PGA tour.
