Are you insinuating it was no big deal? Golf is different and you know it. Imagine all the fans at a YT golf event heckling you nonstop. Lord knows you would give them plenty of time to with your 2-minute-long fuckin pre-shot routine.
They did the same stuff in Europe, two years back. Some heckling was all right if it’s not targeting the players and just being funny. But once it gets personal and their throwing stuff, that’s where it crosses the line.

Not during the pre-shot routine. Each player, whether an American in Europe or a European in America, should be able to address the ball and play their shot without disruption.
But also, the vulgar comments made towards his wife Erica are vile and unacceptable. Also, heckling about their called-off divorce also crosses a line. Apparently she had a drink thrown in her direction? The European WAGs were apparently baffled at the amount of abuse American fans leveled at Erica. No player should have to worry about the well-being of their spouse while they play. Truly disgusting.
If your allowed to heckle. Then they need to move fans way back like other sports. The difference in golf is there within feet of the golfer sometimes.
