The President of the United States is getting mocked online for what he wore to the Ryder Cup on Friday, September 26.
The 2025 Ryder Cup is all but over. Europe is leading the United States, 11.5 to 4.5. To win the Ryder Cup, a team needs to get to 14.5 points out of the 28 total points available. Europe is expected to do that with ease on Sunday. The Europeans, led by Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Co., have dominated the United States, who have seen players like Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau massively struggling.

DeChambeau, Scheffler and Co. were excited to play in front of President Trump this weekend. The President of the United States, 79, is a big-time golf fan. He attended Day 1 of the Ryder Cup with his granddaughter, Kai Trump, on Friday afternoon. President Trump quickly went viral for his shoe choice.

The President of the United States wore his typical navy blue suit to the Ryder Cup on Friday, but instead of wearing dress shoes, he was spotted wearing golf shoes.

People often make fun of fans who wear golf shoes to golf tournaments. Do these people think that they’re going to get to go out and play on the course?
President Trump mocked for wearing golf shoes
Fans have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to mock President Trump for what he wore out on the course.
“Trump showing up in his golf shoes like a little kid with a glove at a baseball game 😂,” one fan wrote.
“The LAST time President Trump wore WHITE golf shoes was back on July 23, 2015 during his presidential campaign, Trump toured the U.S.-Mexico border in Laredo, Texas. 10 years ago! From July 23, 2015 to September 26th, 2025 is exactly 3,718 days,” another wrote.

“Yup, Trump is rocking golf shoes. About to board his helicopter from the White House to Bethpage,” one fan added.
“Trump has his golf shoes on. The club champion wants a shot! Put him in coach,” one fan added.
Perhaps the golf shoes were just the most comfortable choice for the President of the United States on Friday.
The final day of the Ryder Cup is set to begin on Sunday.
