Bryson DeChambeau loses the plot

Fuming Bryson DeChambeau was left on the brink of combustion at the 15th with America on the brink of losing the plot at the Ryder Cup.

The two-time Major winner was left shaking with anger after he took issue with Justin Rose asking his caddie Greg Bodine to give him space before hitting his putt.

Fellow European star Tommy Fleetwood and his caddie Ian Finnis stepped in to cool DeChambeau down but a fresh argument broke out between Scottie Scheffler’s bag man Ted Scott trading words with European vice-captain Francesco Molinari.

Tempers appeared to cool when Europe secured the win at the 16th hole as added security was needed for the game involving Rory McIlroy.

“We have added security and State Police to Match No.1 as well as the other three matches in today’s afternoon fourballs,” the PGA of America’s statement read. Additionally, the frequency of fan behaviour messaging on video boards across the golf course has increased. We will continue to closely monitor fan behaviour and take appropriate action.
