It’s the final week of the regular season and doesn’t get any better than this. The series has all the dramatics of playoff baseball who will take control of the division. Will it be the scorching hot Cleveland Guardians or will the Tigers flip the script on the last two weeks, we got the big fueled up and ready to roll and he has been on some kind of roll. Kevin Williams will be our Toyota starting pitcher 11 and five on the season with a 36, a bring him up the outside corner and the nine pitch bad results in a strikeout struck him out with a curveball to end the inning, the most valuable pitcher in major league baseball by a lot of metrics including wins, replacement. Terre Sel starting pitcher, Angel Martinez. He has hit 303 against the Tigers this year with a homer in seven runs batted in soft liner and it gets by the shortstop Sweeney and an infield hit for Angel Martinez. That thing never thought it was going to get there and it did a four pitch walk. You’re going to be careful with that guy at the plate, no matter what the situation, it’s on the ground. It’s right at third base. Mckinstry torres double play. That’s how you talk to a third of the time. It works all the time. Gavin Williams had a dominant 123. 1st. Did he go? He did third strikeout for gavin Williams one down in the second swing and a Miss, he has struck out four in two scoreless innings to start the game. Gabriel Arias leads off for Cleveland here down and in he walked him. How about that? Skubal has walked two, the one swing and a Miss, oh, Dylan Dingler on the prowl for outs at first base. When you got a cannon, you might as well use it check swing. He did go. Chris Guccione gave it the Angel hernandez ring the bell two down. Nothing doing there. John Kenzie Noel strikes out on a curveball. Zack Mckinstry will lead it off for Detroit here in the third inning. No score. Center field straight away on Martinez. Racing back. Still going. That’s over his head and one hop over the wall. That ball had a lot of carry for zack Mckinstry. If that rings around, maybe he ends up with three bases. He’ll take two is the first Tigers base runner of this series huge early in this series early in this game. Now here is Weell Perez. This to first base is fair down the line. The Tigers are going to score first of this series went on his way to second base. He is in there. It is one to back to back doubles in the third. These are plays that we saw Cleveland make the ball to center on. Martinez didn’t make the play the ball over at first base. This is why you keep playing the game 10 Tigers lead fourth inning carry Carpenter to lead it off, swing and a miss struck him out with another good curveball. Number six on the night for the big rig as he takes just off the plate for ball four. See that is a type of sequence that he would not have had last year. He only saw one pitch his first time up grounded to second base , small piece of it. First base side, they’re going to have to figure out the choreography and they never did. Manzo came in. Williams charged the ball. There was nobody at first because Roo had to have time to get there and suddenly the Tigers get an extra base here in the fourth inning. That’s a one hopper, it’s ball four and the bases are loaded. The tensity, the mumblings of the crowd. All these things start to wear on a guy a little bit. Yeah, this is where you want to be nice and aggressive to a pitch that you love in your spot. Get the head of the bat out bases juiced. You’re trying to hit a fly ball to the outfield swing. And struck him out with a curve ball number seven and there are two down on the floor. We so Perez ripped a double down the first baseline his last time up. Boy, this could be a huge momentum, swing one way or the other. Here comes swing and a miss strike three Perez strikes out Williams works out of the jam and we head to the bottom half of the fourth inning with the score remaining. The Tigers won and the Guardian’s nothing. Yeah, gavin got himself out of a huge jam. Bases loaded one out in the fourth inning. Back to back strikeouts. Here’s the pitch called strike three on the outside corner at the knees one down here in the bottom of the fifth inning and Kyle Manzo will step in and there’s a base hit down the left field line by Kyle Manzo. The corner, Riley Green cuts it off but into second with a one out double is Kyle Manzo is 18th on the year. Very good approach by Manzo. Stay on that baseball. They’re way off the line at third base. There’s nothing wrong with taking it to left and he gets a low fastball down and away. There’s the tying run on second base outside ball four, a third walk by Tarik Skubal as Brian Roko steps in precision again with a fastball. That’s just do it. He’s just do it a one to shortstop. Sweeney is there, go to third to get the out range play from Trey Sweeney. He was headed toward the left field line. Mckinstry got to the bag quickly and they get Manzo baseball right there. Mckinstry retreated to the bag and gave him something to throw at. That was excellent play against Gavin Williams tonight. It’s one nothing Detroit into the sixth inning. Struck him out with that all night long. Number 10 for G Williams swing and a Miss Hay struck him out with a breaking ball. Number 11, Detroit one, Cleveland nothing. Sixth inning, two outs. Nobody on base. Oh man, that ball’s demolished. And this is a two nothing ball game in a heartbeat that left it was Mr Green with the baseball bat in Cleveland. If you are wondering who murdered that baseball and Riley covers it and absolutely destroyed it. Now the 22 got him looking. So that’s a dozen strikeouts for Gavin Williams. Tarik Skubal facing stephen Kwan who’s lined out, struck out. Kwan bunts it back toward the mound. Grab by Dingler. Bare hand grab and drop bunt single. When you’re facing Tarik Skubal , you’re looking for any way at all to get on base. Angel Martinez had an infield hit in the first inning. He’s showing, bump it up the first base line off the mound. The first baseman L he’s on his way to second, go on to third. He’ll stop there, boy, what a gamble. So they’re playing small ball now, laid down a beautiful bunt down the first baseline and Scuba for some reason, I think he had a chance to get him. He chose to flip it between his legs. So 2nd and 3rd, nobody out Jose with the crowd on its feet. Slow chopper up the third base line. Mckinstry only plays at first. He has no play. It’s an infield RB I single and it’s a 2 to 1 game. Small ball thriving in Cleveland. Yeah, boy, small ball is, it’s happening here. And you would think for this is more frustrating than giving up two or three line drives in a row. Now, here’s David Fry zero for two on the night. He squares. He tried to bunt and it hit the bat and Then hit him in the face or did it hit him square in the face? I don’t know. I’m not sure it’s not good. SBO threw his hat and glove done as soon as he threw the pitch and saw what happened, David up under his own power and really upset as well. That was a fastball. He knew he threw that fastball and it just raised the bat and went right into his face. Valera will come up with a choo. It gets away. Here comes the run on the wild pitch. Just the third wild pitch of the year for Scoble. And how about that? And now 3 to 2 to Valera got him strike three paint to the outside corner, one down. Big strikeout, big struck out And now gabriel Ariz Jose ramirez, he’s been known to steal third base. Well, jose was almost off. He him to third. Yes, he did. And that’s what he did all of a sudden he got, he shuffled off and Then when he went back, Scoble did something different. He bought infield in now 21 pitch slow chopper to first. That’ll get the go ahead run home. 32. Cleveland and a ball still has not left the infield. Cleveland has scored three runs here against Tarik Skubal in the sixth inning on three base hits and a SBA throwing error and none of those base hits went any further than 45 to 50 feet swing and a miss strike three and the game of is over, but Cleveland gets three runs here at home. Here’s Austin Hedges two down in the 7th, 3 to 2. Cleveland Hedge just waited him out, draws the walks. This is how it’s done. Kyle Finnigan here to the mound to try to get Stephen Kwan out in the seventh line drive left. He second on his way to third. He’ll have to stop there. It was played nicely by green. If that ball had gone straight down into the corner, he scores but it kicked the wall and went right out to green and that helps Detroit for the moment and Daniel Sman will bat for Angel Martinez base hit left hedges scores. Here comes a pitch hit two run single to left center and Cleveland has a 5 to 2 lead and this place is up for grabs and on the pitch is Hunter Gattis Gattis fastball slider, change the pitch. He got him with the slider down. Gattis gets Parker Meadows and 15 strikeouts for Cleveland pitching just off the outside corner. He rings him up. There is strikeout number six. Here’s the one to got into the slider. Gattis strikes out the side. Cleveland pitching has struck out 17 of the 24 outs. Kane Smith on to try to nail down save number 16, 7 wins, 19 holes at 306. A, the 02, he went, ring them up , they got away with one there, they got him, they got a call there, the pitch strike three called duck another fastball and now the Tiger hitters really flustered everybody arguing and every call as the Tigers must feel like it’s them against the world and now they are one out away from taking a huge step toward October ball game. Guardians take over the central division lead. They beat the Detroit Tigers 5 to 2. They win the season series with this victory. Thus, the records are the same, but Cleveland’s actively in first and Detroit is in second Guardians win game 15 to 2.

  1. Detroit looked like the best team in baseball by the All-Star break. They had the division in a chokehold but now they're about to lose it and Cleveland has the tiebreaker over them.

  2. HAHAHA TIGERS with the most EPIC collapse ever. "You can't catch us" "we own this division" "have fun watching us in the playoffs"

Where's all that arrogance now? Did it crumble away along with your teams ability to play baseball? Bunch of losers 😂 your toxic fan base deserved every bit of this. I couldn't be happier that you just lost the division lead.

  3. Noticed a lot of announcers making not-so-subtle "murder" jokes in the last couple weeks. They truly can't contain their glee, can they?

  4. If Skubal would have stuck that second bunt in his pocket, and everything else stayed the same, the Guardians would have maybe scored one run. That long snap turned a tough situation into a nightmare. He still pitched Ramirez tough, but instead of an out he gets a dribbler for the first run. Then he hits Fry between the eyes. At this point, Skubal was in shock. Detroit should have yanked him. Wild pitch, balk another dribbler and Cleveland has the lead. That has to be right up there with the Yankee 5th inning from the 2024 World Series, where any and everything went in the crapper.

  5. I remember the Yankees-Guardians series from 202,2 and that's exactly how Cleveland generated offense. Bloopers, dribblers, walks, and balks.

  6. Guys…The Guardians erased an 11 game lead in 19 days…….think about that….That is insane…if they overcame a 6 game lead in 19 days it would be epic.

  7. Scott harris, AJ, and illitch a laughing stock. Insufferable to watch. Disgusting. Don't deserve the playoffs and I'm a tiger fan. Waste of time.

  8. 2:14 Can someone explain to me why this isn't a home run? I've seen other cases of the ball hitting the ground and going out of bounds and being a home run.

  9. WOAH HE HAS TROUBLE WITH THE SNAP AND THE BALL IS FREE. ITS PICKED UP BY MICHIGAN STATE JALEN WATTS-JACKSON AND HE SCoOooOoRES!!!
