Week one is consistently the hardest week to rank fantasy defenses in. And I was really wrong about a lot of them. But going into week two fantasy football, we have more stuff to go off of. And therefore, the defense ranking should be more accurate this week. At least I’m hoping. So, we’re going to go through the top 12 defenses for week 2 fantasy football. Just make sure to go down there, drop a like on this video, and subscribe to the channel to show your support because not only am I doing everything I can to get us ready for week two, but I’m also one of the only fantasy creators that does defense rankings on a weekly basis. So, getting into our first here right here, this may shock people. I’ve actually got the Ravens defense versus the Cleveland Browns at number one. Now, it may come as a shock for multiple different reasons. Number one, the Ravens just gave up 40 plus points to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night. To that, I would say it’s the freaking Buffalo Bills with Josh Allen. You know what? Cleveland doesn’t have Josh Allen on their team. They just do not have that kind of talent at the quarterback position. So, yes, I’m going to give the Ravens more grace on giving up 40 points when it’s coming to one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Number two, the Cleveland Browns have Joe Flacco and he was actually throwing all over the Bengals. Well, last week, one of the things that you need to remember about Joe Flacco, because it was on full display last week, is Joe Flacco turns the ball over. He had two interceptions in that game versus a way worse secondary. By the way, the Ravens will get turnovers here. And number three, the Ravens are coming off a brutal loss to the Buffalo Bills. I believe they will come back to homefield advantage and smoke the Cleveland Browns this week. This feels like a 24-6 beatd down with several turnovers going the Ravens way. I’ll take the Ravens at number one. And at number two, I’ve got the Rams defense as well at the Tennessee Titans. Now, this was one of the calls that I was just flat out wrong about. Now, over the course of the week, I did move the Rams up to 12 last week, but it still wasn’t enough. They were dominant against the Houston Texans, by the way, a much better offense than the Tennessee Titans. The Titans have the same offensive line struggles and their quarterback looked really frenetic and just panicky against the Denver Broncos last week. Well, unfortunately for Cam Mort, he’s not getting that much of a break this week against another good pass rush and another good defense with the Los Angeles Rams. So, I don’t think that this is a good matchup on any, you know, frame of reference for the Tennessee Titans because the Rams, they got three sacks last week and two turnovers as well. like the Rams will continue to do work in week two versus the Tennessee Titans. And at number three, to round out this tier, I’ve got the Broncos defense at Indianapolis. Now, also, there’s a couple things to go with here. Number one, the Colts looked dominant last week. They scored 30 plus points with Daniel freaking Jones’s quarterback. A couple things here. Number one, the the Colts are not going to be putting up 30 plus points on every team they face. I’m not denying they have talent, but Daniel Jones will get exposed for what he is at some point. And they were also playing the Dolphins. Keep that in mind. They’re taking on one of the best, if not the best, defenses here. That’s the only reason the Broncos will pretty consistently find themselves in top five situations here because I do think that their matchup last week was better and they were the defense number one for it. But the Colts don’t have as bad of an offensive line, so there may be less sacks here. But still, the Denver defense, the talent they have, the defensive coordinator they have with Vance Joseph, it all just comes together, and I don’t think they’re going to take a step back by much in week two fantasy football. Now, dropping down to our next tier, I’ve got the Patriots defense at the Miami Dolphins here. And listen, the Patriots were a disappointment in week one versus the Las Vegas Raiders. I will acknowledge that. Like, they were not the best defense in fantasy last week. They were the defense number 14. They had four sacks, which is good numbers right here. But this is something I’ve been harping on for all the off seasonason. I think the Miami Dolphins will be one of the worst teams, if not the worst, in the NFL this year, and you saw a glimpse of that in week one. I don’t think this team cares or has bought in to Mike McDaniel anymore. So, I think as long as he’s still there, they’re going to get taken advantage of on a weekly basis. And the Patriots do have a good defense here. So, if you get four sacks against the Raiders offensive line, what are you going to do versus the Miami Dolphins offensive line? I wouldn’t be surprised if they top that sack number and maybe get a turnover or two out of the equation as well. I expect the Patriots to come in and just bludgeon the Miami Dolphins in this game. Maybe not from an offensive perspective, but certainly from a defensive perspective. And at number five, I’ve got the Cowboys defense taking on the New York Giants at home. So obviously there’s a couple things that factor into this one, right? First of all, the Cowboys defense after the lightning delay, and that may have been the reason why. Well, they definitely put the clamps on the Eagles defense, particularly against the run, which was the most important part because Saquon Barkley was ripping them to shreds before that. And number two, the Cowboys are just getting a huge break here going back home to Dallas to take on the Giants who honestly, I don’t know how much longer they could take Russell Wilson. I it just doesn’t make sense. Like their players can’t honestly look themselves in the mirror and tell themselves they have a shot with Russell Wilson at quarterback. Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if this week they literally made the move to Jackson Dart, but until they do it, they’re going to be awful offensively. So since Russ is the starter as of now, I’m going to keep the Cowboys at five because it is such an advantage when you’re this early into the season. The team is offensively bad and the team doesn’t believe. Believe is a powerful thing and the Giants have none of it with Russell Wilson. Give me the Cowboys at five. The Vikings defense at six to round out this tier versus the Atlanta Falcons this week at home and this is on a Sunday night. So, they are getting two prime time games straight. Now, the Vikings defense proved how elite they are with Brian Flores as that defensive coordinator in the second half of that game versus Chicago on Monday night. like they were dominant against that offense that was previously moving the ball at will, particularly in the passing game. They put the clamps on. That’s because they have so much talent and they have Brian Fores as that DC. Well, the Falcons are dealing with a lot of stuff right now. Drake London, I don’t know if he’s going to play or not. Like, he very well could miss this game and if he misses, good luck. They’ve got Bejian Robinson who will absolutely handle tons of volume. Kyle Pittz who may get more work today as well, but outside of that, there’s not much there if Darno Mooney is not back. So, I think the Vikings with homefield advantage against the Falcons offense that is definitely in shambles could have a really big week in week two. This is Ted. Look at him. Ted desperately needs to pick up a new running back or his fantasy team is toast for the third year in a row. And losing his season again means one thing. Oh no. Don’t be Ted. Use fantasy football roundup to automate your waiver pickups and take a breather this season. Hey, got seven more laps. Now, dropping down to our next tier right here. I’ve got the 49ers defense at number seven and they are going to New Orleans to take on the Saints. So, a couple of things have changed because last week I had the Cardinals up a lot higher and they did not do well against the Saints. Now, to be frank, I think the 49ers have a much better defense than the Cardinals do. But I will also say this, the 49ers are already going down with injuries left and right. Both sides of the ball. KD’s the big one, but there’s defensive injuries as well. Now, the other thing is the Saints looked much more competent offensively. Not saying they’re putting up a bunch of points. I don’t think they’ll do that against anybody because they just lack the talent, but I will say that they looked competent moving the football. So they’re not a complete disaster that nobody cares about. So the 49ers I’ve got to put at seven just a little bit here because I just don’t know if I could see them capitalizing on the matchup like they should. That being said, like they had a good defensive performance last week in fantasy. Two forced fumbles, two fumbles recovered. Thank you Jackson Smith and Jima for those and they only got one sack, but I do think this is an offensive line they could take advantage of in week two. The Cardinals defense is at eight and they’re taking on the Carolina Panthers at home. Now, the Cardinals are going to find themselves again pretty consistently inside of the top 10 the first month of the season just because of the schedule. Carolina, I had actually a lot more hope in offensively versus the Jags. They looked bad again. Like, it was bad news again. And the Cardinals, while they weren’t excellent last week in fantasy, they weren’t one of the worst. Like, the Cardinals still did make plays against the New Orleans Saints defense. So, with Carolina just looking lethargic as they are, I don’t know if I see much upside for this matchup for the Panthers in particular. And I think the Cardinals come out with an okay week once again in fantasy. And you’re going to see a lot of people drop the Cardinals this week because of last week’s performance. That’s when you utilize our waiverwire tool, the automatic waiverwire tool to go grab the Cardinals in the middle of the night automatically while the rest of your league is waking themselves up at three to try to get the priority waiverwire free agents. So again, go to fsroundup.com to utilize the automatic waiverwire tool, which is the greatest thing in fantasy football history. Now at number nine to round out this tier, I’ve got the Bills defense and they are going to New York to take on the Jets. So a couple of things here. People may be surprised to see this. Again, the Bills were part of that 40point matchup as well. The Baltimore Ravens put their own 40 burger on the Buffalo Bills, too. Again, I’m going to cut them slack because they have Lamar Jackson at quarterback. Anytime a defense is playing Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, I’m going to cut them slack when they give up a lot of points. It just makes sense. So, the Bills this week playing the New York Jets. Obviously, they looked good last week, too, but this is a great time to step on a pedestal and just acknowledge that Mike Tomlin’s defense is a disgrace. He called them a historic defense before the start of the season. And yeah, if you want to say historically bad, that would work. He should be getting barbecued this week over their performance versus the New York Jets cuz it was disgraceful if you want to know the truth. And he should be completely embarrassed. So to me, I just think in a divisional match up, the Jets will come back down to earth and the Bills will be able to figure them out much better than the Steelers did. Dropping down to our last tier here, the Texans defense is at number 10 and they are taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home this week. Look, the Texans defense is in a tough spot last week because they played the Los Angeles Rams. But even still, I mean, the Texans defense was the number 15 defense on the week because they got three sacks, a force fumble, and a fumble recovered because they have so much talent. So, you can never rank the Texans defense too far outside of the top 12 based on opponent. And I do think that this Tampa Bay matchup on Monday night actually could get scrappy because Tampa does have talent offensively, but I think the Texans will come in really mad looking to get revenge and they will take it to the Tampa Bay Bucks this week. So, while I think they will get scored on, I do think they will make plays to keep them inside the top 10. And at number 11, I’ve got the Packers defense versus the Washington Commanders on Thursday night. Now, this is weird because the Packers defense to me is a great defense, right? Like, they were the number eight defense versus the Detroit Lions, but the bottom line is like, if you’re not giving credence and respect to Jaden Daniels as a quarterback, you have to do that. like he is just so good as a quarterback in this league to where I would put him above Jared Goff as far as making mistakes goes. Jaden doesn’t make mistakes. So, the Packers are going to be in a tough position to where they won’t get as many mistakes off of Jaden Daniels, but I do still think on a short week, it’s a tough matchup for both of them. I could see a lower scoring outcome that a lot of people may think to keep the Packers inside the top 12 this week. And then number 12, I’ve got the Seahawks defense and they are going to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers. Now, I think a lot of last week with the Steelers had to do with Aaron Rogers trying to get revenge. And that was a great game and a great performance by him. I’m not sure if I see that sustaining itself. And I’ll tell you the reason why is because the offensive line in Pittsburgh is abysmal. They were getting bullied on both ends at the line of scrimmage, offensively and defensively. And I envision the same thing against the Seahawks defense. That is another tough defense they’re going to have to deal with this week. And I see a lot of sacks in Aaron Rogers future. So, if Aaron Rogers doesn’t put up the amount of points that he did last week, this could be too low of a ranking for the Seahawks. But, I’ve got him inside the top 12 for that very reason alone. So, let me know what you think of the rankings for week 2 fantasy football. And if you want to see the top 30 wide receivers for week two, click on this video right here.

Is eagles defense bad
Colts brother
Glad I only started the rams & broncos
I hope the ravens beat the bricks off the browns
I bet my commissioner that Cleveland would win 4 games or less
The Texans are sooooo overrated offensively
Their defense is solid sure, but they’ll be lucky to beat one good team
Back down to life this week for the colts
When do you typically go live in the week?
im trusting your analysis this week lets hope for something better than -7 from ravens!
Should I drop the Texans for the rams?
Eagles or packers?
Excuses, excuses. Your selections last week were par for the course. Whether or not I agree with the rankings is not why I'm here. You're average at best. But I enjoy the analysis.
Should I drop Lions D for Cowboys?
Is this based solely on the weekly matchup ?
Don’t think the Steelers will have a bounce back week after that embarrassing performance? Luckily I picked up the rams so I dropped the Steelers but something tells me they’ll be much better this week.
drop cards for cowboys or pats?
I really want to like your videos, but your video screwed up in week 1. I understand it is hard to determine with the first game of the season. However, last year you helped me! All good!
49ers at 7 👀🤦
Flacco revenge game?
Why did you not even mention Philly?
I’m thinking about dropping steeler defense and getting Baltimore
Ass rankings…
Thanks for having the guts to rank the Patriots at 4 this week. I’ll take the confirmation bias
Send it for Cowboys or Colts and drop Pat Friermuth? I have Noah Fant as TE until Kittle recovers by mid October.
How does Brock Purdy being out change the 49rs D??
In two leagues: Texans / Eagles in one and Texans / Patriots in the other. Thinking to start Texans in the first and then Patriots in the second. Anyone have thoughts on this?
Also I have learned so much watching your videos and I found them extremely helpful and concise – just wanted to shout that out!
drop philly for SF? i also need a QB to replace purdy (thinking JJ) so i cant justify carrying 2 defenses
Pittsburgh not even featured
Didn’t want to but I dropped the cardinals for the rams in one of my leagues. Rams are gonna eat Ward alive. Could see them getting 4+ sacks. I swapped out Jets for Rams in my other league, that was easier.
Great video I have the rams, would you trade Ladd for Hampton straight up? I have emeka, jsn as my other receivers and mccafrey and brown as my rbs my bench rbs aren't good
Who would you stash for next week? Chiefs against Giants, Falcons against Panthers, Packers against Browns, Bills against Dolphins or Seahawks against Saints?
Aight so I have the rams and packers defense and am leaning rams any thoughts
I have the 49ers defense… should I pick up the Viking
Bucs high scoring offense. I wouldn’t want to play them lol
New to Fantasy which defense should I hold onto long term if any. I don't have a free spot to hold onto more than 1. I drafted the Steelers but on waivers there is:
Rams D/ST
Cardinals D/ST
49ers D/ST
Jets D/ST
Chiefs D/ST
Cowboys D/ST
Giants D/ST
Bears D/ST
Chargers D/ST
Dolphins D/ST
Bengals D/ST
Jaguars D/ST
Browns D/ST
Falcons D/ST
Saints D/ST
Raiders D/ST
Titans D/ST
Panthers D/ST
Should I drop Steelers defense for one of these? Is any of these teams worth running long term or should I just stream each week?
Should I drop Bengals or Bills defense for Rams
I have the niners defense should I drop them and pick up. Pats ???
You did not mention the Chargers vs the Raiders
Why are you so low on the Steelers? Consensus top 5 defense going into season, and they're home vs an offense that looked worse than they did last week (at home, now on the road) yet you have Seattle on the list. Explain your Steelers bias! Is it based on Week 1 performance?
I have Detroit in, would you drop them for New England or Minnesota?
Thanks for suggesting the Ravens D last week. Haha. Looking forward to your rankings tomorrow!
Drop the patriots for the colts?
Do you post these defense videos on Tuesday? The new one isn't up yet, and our waiver wire hits tonight.
