The 2025 Ryder Cup is the 45th edition and runs between September 25 – September 28. Luke Donald is the European Team Captain and Keegan Bradley is the U.S. Team Captain. The European Team are the reigning champion after winning 16 ½ – 11 ½ at Marco Simone in 2023. Every two years, 24 of the best players from Europe and the United States go head-to-head in match play competition. Drama, tension, incredible golf, camaraderie and sportsmanship are served in equal measure, captivating an audience of millions around the world. It’s an event that transcends sport, yet remains true to the spirit of its founder, Samuel Ryder.

Justin, the sun is going down. Both teams huddled around this green. What was your thought process standing over that final putt at the last Rome 23? Um sun was going down. It’s Friday afternoon. It’s, you know, the 18th hole and that one was for Tommy that time, not the rest of the team. Uh he carried me today. You know, I felt like I put the ball in play nicely off the tea, but Tommy made some huge putts uh in the right moments and um you know, that was a huge turnaround match. Obviously, you know, I think my my moment of the day, I guess, was seven when Ben hold that 60footer and I was able to pour it in from 40 foot to not go two down. I felt like it kind of kept us in the match and then we knew we were then coming into a different stretch of holes. You know, the first few holes were playing somewhat easy and then the course kind of really showed its teeth a little bit and um that’s where obviously Tommy’s ball striking and our resolve really came through. Tommy, from Paris to New York, you continue to deliver for team Europe. Meanwhile, Scotty Shuffler without a point today. Bryson de Shambo without a point today. How much of a boost does that give team Europe keeping two of their alpha dogs completely quiet today? No matter who it is, the scoreboard is uh you know what counts and I think um just our team as a collective I think um we obviously feel very prepared um and we’ve been looking forward to this day for a long time now. Um so to have got off to a good start um feels great. you know, it’s uh yeah, of course. I mean, that their team is stacked with amazing players. So, whoever it is, the match is going to be difficult and the points mean so much and um you know, just to be out there today with Justin. I’ve wanted to do that for a very very long time, play with Justin in a Radic Cup and um you know, it was a great match. It really really was. Um so, yeah, just happy to have contributed another point uh to overall we know what score we want to get to. So, great plan guys. I’ll see you tomorrow.
