At 18, Justin Thomas, he comes here tied for 13th. At 13 under par, 103 yds. Oh, this could be close. Come on now. This could be in. It is. Eagle for Justin Thomas. How good is that finish? Electric. Sheffler. Can you believe what you just saw? Bobby Mack can’t. Third shot of the way for Pley at 16. Now that’s incredible right there. And that was hauling down that hill. They’re nestled all the way down again, Terry. Oh, could hit the flag. Could get him in. That’s not supposed to happen from there. Come on. Oh my goodness. Topped it. Wow. He straight topped it. I bet he still finds a way to make par. I wouldn’t bet against it. Come on. How about a birdie? No way. How about a birdie? No way. How about a brownie? Oh my goodness. Ben Griffin the long shot for the birdie despite tapping the ball here. This from 181 at the 18th. Yeah, beautiful T- shot. And we’ve seen a number of players today have trouble getting to this back right hole location. English just dials it in, gets a nice kick, lands in just like a putt. Canley four years later here at Caves. See how quick that is coming down towards the creek right of the green. But he’s still got the magic at the last. I mean, how does he do this? Oh, such a good strike. Go in. Go in. plenty of green to work with. It’s in the back left side today. Yeah. And that’s one of the reasons, too. Don’t have to worry about spinning it back. That was excellent. Not let that wedge dig in. Oh, Colin Morawa with an unlikely three at the first and he extends his lead to two. Just can’t make a double bogey here and he’ll make the cut. Oh wow. Are you kidding me after all that? Thank you. trying to get up and down to stay at six under. Or how about that? Just do that and get to seven under. Go down. He did it. Crazy. Colin Morawa cracking our shots of the day. Par five, 17th. Well, it’s reachable. How good a shot can you hit in here? That good. Very nearly the rarest of birds. Oh, is that any good? Go in. The answer to your question is yes, that is good. That’s more of the iron shots I’m used to JJ seeing. Looking like crisp. Oh man, JJ Spawn’s got a kick in birdie at the toughest hole. Xander Schoffley his third at the 14th. Well, well left and in the rough. A whole cut on the left. Very tight to the left edge of the green. Unbelievable shot there. One of your picks to uh to win this year, Trevor. He’s a good player, isn’t he? Yeah, sure is. Last two starts tied for 10th at Sony and a fifth at Pebble. Going in there with a little hybrid that back right whole location. And although it’s tough to access. Oh, it looks like he lost it a little bit. Right. Not much. And how about exactly the right? He was complaining about it, but he won’t be when he gets up there. John Flot pull the white in. Oh, remember how we finished up yesterday? didn’t throw the club this time. This is Sam Burns at 18. Looking at it and pulling it back. Go in. Pulling it back. Oh. Well, Scotty won out. Looking at that little sliver. Oh my shot. Watch this. Oh my goodness. Even Lee Hodes and Gary Woodland are laughing and smiling in. Well, you can forget about a bogey. Just made birdie foot or two short. Bump it. He’s bumping it. Successful. Very successful. Wow. Xander the touch more at four under. Don’t go left. Don’t go long. Don’t go right. A lot of don’t go, but you can’t go right at it. Oh, nearly. This one’s also have to be careful. Got to fight the jumper. Got to land this in the front portion of the green. That is well judged by Harris. Really well judged. How about this? Getting even better. Oh my gosh. That’s a golf shot. Good contact required. Yeah, go ahead. There we go. The second birdie of the day for Ben Griffin. Over to the third with San Diego native JJ Spawn. Covered this one nicely. Just a little bit of a baby cashmere fade off the tea. Drove it in the trees at the par 516. Punched to here. Now his third. Go in. Go in. See how much spin that ball had on it. And it looked like an eagle all the way. Just set up that perfect T- ball. Get the ball high in the air. Starting it right trying to turn it in there. Looks like he likes it. And well, he should. Woody. There’s your potential eagle for Canley. Harris English. Third shot at the par five. Let’s see if he can control the spin. I’d say he did it brilliantly. Yeah, 10 out of 10. Cutting just left of it. He said he felt like he found a little something at home. What a shot. Yeah, great shot. He felt like he was getting more comfortable that he was seeing that ball move from left to right which he loves in the front part of the green if not on. Not the greatest visual for JJ Spine but remember what he did at 17 the 71st hole at Oakmont with that reachable par4. He hit a beauty and he has done the same today. Is that going to hold the green? There’s a back slope there that’ll slow it down and that is going to be a very good eagle look. Wow, what a shot from JJ. Yeah, one of the most creative players around the Greens with his wedge. Caught that one nice. What is going on at the first hole right now? I think the key is to miss the green here, Jerry. Four left. Four left. Tracing technology provided by Trackman. And that hits the cart path a couple of times. Strap in, Taylor. This is going to be interesting. Okay, she’s got it. She’s got it. Good. And what a big break. Use the rules as he can. A little bit of a wider stance. Almost like he’s going a little higher with it. Good shot. [Applause] Do it again. He did it again. Back to back from off the green for Colin Morawa. It’s very close to the golf ball. Fantastic hands. Oh, hello and goodbye golf ball. [Applause] Oh, just from 67 ft for Eagle. How about that? From the upper tier down the slope. That was some putt. Like that. A birdie all the way for Harris English to start. Back in the fairway at 12 with Xander Schoffley. Second from 171 yds. Front left hole location. We’ve seen very few good shots surprisingly. This one on a good line. Oh well, there’s a good one. Might be a touch better than a good line. That’s a great line. What a shot from Xander. JJ Spawn was hitting his third. The face open. Just trying to land it just on the green. Oh, what a start for JJ. He birdie two of his last three yesterday. And now he’s birdied the first today from off the green. And JJ is now just two shots back. Got a nice round going. Three under, 82 yds. [Applause] Somebody’s going to make it today. That’s had so many close. It’s a nice sandwich for him. Yeah, I I agree with you. That wasn’t a full swing right there. Took it off. Oh, could go in. Look at you getting there to seven under par late in the day. lie in the flat. Lot of green to work with. Oh, yes. Scotty Sheffller with the Eagle in the hole. Good line. Could tell he loved it. Sure. Griffin for birdie. Going left through the fringe and then it’ll swing the opposite direction down the hill. This looks good. Oh, he may have just sealed the deal. What a putt from Ben Griffin here at the 71st hole. Breeze going against his fade. Terry coming in from the right. Oh, nearly. Oh, so close. What’ you say about the breeze? Is it the winning putt? Here it comes. Yes, it is. Justin Thomas back in the winner circle. The tears are going to be pouring. He’s got his first win as a father. And Colt, you called it so much like the putt at 15.
