Michael was the most dynamic, but he didn’t have a handle. He couldn’t handle the rock like in college. MJ, no, he couldn’t handle the rock. So, like even even at times I’ll be like you we play pickup like I got Mike. You’re like cuz I knew I’m like I’m get up under you like you can’t handle rock and and uh what happened? And then and then and then he’s the only guy that I know that his weaknesses that he had at the end of his career was his strengths. The only person I have ever LeBron’s not like that. KD not nobody. He’s the only one at the end of his handle was crazy and his jump shot was pure. I used to How do you miss a jump shot? You got a perfect form. Like but we talked about it and I was like this is how competitive. We talk about competitive with Mike. So I used to say I was like he’s like, “Oh, you think you could call me?” I like, “Yeah, cuz your handle’s whack.” I used to say, “Your handle’s whack. I can guard you.” And like B. So now we we doing that we playing. He goes to the Olympics, comes back, goes to um to the league, comes back for the summer cuz all the players, every North Carolina player come came, we all come back and play. So the gym is doodles. like it like any NBA team we would have be like in that gym without question and he’s he’s he’s boom boom he’s gone. I’m like gang guy. He’s like my handle been working on but I forgot who said that. Like I really forgot I said it. And he’s like my handle right. He’s talking about my handle. He was the first dude that I met that could back up his trash like every day. Every day. Always a talker. always a talker and always backed it up though like and he really took more pride especially then his defense he’s like Walter Davis you not scoring today you’re not scoring today Walter Davis like he that’s the type of energy he was on all the time like he never stopped working man like his stuff is not an accident like it’s not like oh he was gifted no he was the most fundamentally sound player that ever played the game if you watch the videos his his left hand is in the correct direct passing lane. His footwork is unpeccable. The offensively, you know, his jab step is he’s the always ball move, beat stay still. Like all of those things were all the time. And then he was a best athlete. Most guys who were that athletic didn’t rely on package, right? You know, as great as even, you know, and this is not a knock, but as great as Clyde Drexler was, that was the difference between him and Mike to me. It’s just the fundamentals of jab step. And that’s, you know, the stuff that Dean Smith learned. But uh and then Mike gets a lot of credit for like his quotes, but it’s just Dean Smith’s quotes. He’s stealing. Keep it real. It’s stolen. It’s all plagiarism. It’s 100%. It’s just he just adds expletives. But everything I’m going say everything that coach Smith said to us, that’s what Mike

  1. And he never developed a left hand throughout his entire career. The majority of the time when he was going to the left he would be dribbling the ball with his right hand, that's bad basketball fundamentals. He always tried to finish with his right. It makes me question the level of competition back then. That would not fly nowadays players would be all on it

  2. NOBODY EVER MENTIONE HIS HIS WORK ETHICS THAT'S THE MANE REASON HE'S SO GOOD NOBODY EVER TALKS ABOUT HIS WORK ETHICS SN DRIVE THAT MADE HIM EXCEL TO BE THE BEST EVER…….

  3. If only Kawhi is healthy most of his career i can argue that he is also one of the most fundamentally player of all time.

  4. Most players from UNC have played in the NBA some if they were stars some were role players but they made it because of the teaching you get

  5. And then you have folks trying to compare him with a dude that can't even dribble without carrying or traveling…. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

  6. He had something that most players don’t have. I call it the mother fucker gene. Kobe was the second closest with that gene.

  7. There were plenty of talented and athletic players before, during, and after Michael Jordan. NONE of them worked as hard as Jordan did in developing a complete game. The only one to come close was Kobe.

  8. It seems MJ was the type who was not ashamed of being vulnerable or showing weakness because you will call him out on it then he'll go work on that weakness. Now that weakness becomes his strength because he's constantly working. Which is crazy because like Kenny said MJ was not born a gifted basketball player, his gift was rather his competitiveness, which made him a mad man worker lol.

  9. He evolved, he learned, he improved, he didn't peak early and played the same way for the rest of his career, he worked hard and smart, one of the top 2 way players ever, back when players took pride in being complete.

  10. That’s because they worked on it at an early age. They knew they weaknesses and they made them their strengths. That’s why they entered the league the way they did.

  11. Jordan been taking it personally since he stepped on the court. Cut from his high school basketball team, he took that personally and came back and made the team. It's been on for Jordan, ever since.

  12. Kenny got this right! The headline drew me in but hearing whole thing he got this right! I think MJ is the GOAT and this explains why!

  13. If Michael was completely fundamentally sound he wouldn't have taken 30 shots a game. Ask Scottie Pippen.

  14. MJ's greatest gift, other than speed, agility, IQ, court vision, touch, reflexes, giant hands, vertical, hang time, and conditioning was his hunger.

  15. Stay lying still wasn't a strength in Mike game ever smfh. And Bron weakness was his jump shot and back to the basket and those are clearly his strengths now..

  16. Kenny is such an underrated storyteller. He really lets you feel like you’re in the game. ❤

  17. MJ was (and still is) so much fun to watch. His game was so fluid and beautiful to watch. Both ends of the floor. He was so fundamentally sound on everything that he did. That's why he's my Goat. There are a lot of great players that I didn't get to see prior to the late 60s or early 70s, but I can't help that.
