#fantasyfootball #2025fantasyfootball #waiverwirepickups
[Music] Greetings and salutations everyone. My name is Andrew Kurkov and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today I’m going to be talking about my week four waiverwire targets for the 2025 fantasy football season. Now on a typical weekly basis, we hit up the waiverwire in order to improve our starting lineups. And if in fact you can accomplish that, of course we try to improve our bench as we know that many of injuries and by-weeks are to come. But in this most recent week, week three, Sunday, many of injuries took place to significant players, season ending injuries to James Connor, Naji Harris. I mean, significant injuries to CD Lamb, Mike Evans, and Terry McLuren, who are all going to miss considerable time, potentially IR stints. Therefore, all of our desperation in terms of the waiver wire for week four has just gone up. Many people will be utilizing their number one overall priority on Trey Benson. Many people will be dropping a lot of fab this week in order to try to recoup some value and have a strong starting lineup for weeks to come. Therefore, I’ll talk about my top six running backs, top nine wide receivers, top six tight ends, kickers, defenses, etc. in order to help you for not only this week, but for many weeks to come. Again, the entire goal of the season to of course capture a championship. Again, if you want to help yourself get one step closer to that, subscribe to the channel today. And of course, you can find timestamps down in the description if you’re looking for my thoughts on a specific player for today’s video. Without further ado, let’s begin talking about week four waiverwire with our number one player of the week at the running back position, Trey Benson. Again, like I mentioned just moments ago, James Connor is going to be missing the remainder of the season with an unfortunate season ending injury. And in his absence, of course, Trey Benson will be the next man up. In his most recent week, of course, had himself 10 carries for 42 yards, four targets, three catches, nine receiving yards, 6.6 fantasy points. But thus far this season, he has gotten himself, you know, a lot of utilization within this offense. Even though he was originally thought of as a handcuff that had himself an expanded role within the receiving game and a couple opportunities, you know, if we look back to week one, had himself that huge run down the sideline. There were opportunities in which he was given and he was delivering upon. But now, in the absence of James Connor, there’s a lot of opportunities for Trey Benson to run away with his job. I mean, speaking of running the football, he’s averaging 5.95 yards per carry this season thus far, and he’s only going to continue to expand upon that. When we’re talking about a running back that is getting it done on the ground, but also has themselves the ability to make plays through the air within the receiving category. When we take into account that the Arizona Cardinals have given their running backs thus far this season from weeks one through three, 18.3 rushing attempts per game and seven targets per game. And even though Trey Benson will be splitting a little bit of this backfield and some of the opportunities in the direction of Amari De Marcado, expect for Trey Benson to be the starting running back of this offense for the remainder of the season. And expect him to be a top 24 running back every single week for the remainder of the season. Now, before I get into talking about our other running backs that, of course, we’ll be picking up via the Waverwire. Quick reminder, later tonight I’ll be live streaming after the Monday Night Football game between the Baltimore Ravens and of course Detroit Lions. I will be putting together a couple better plays at the end of today’s episode for those of you guys who want to potentially follow and of course make plays. Like I’ve mentioned before, I’m partnering with Better for the 2025 season, not only to provide plays every single episode, but of course, Sunday morning rankings. Again, if you guys are looking for my rankings from weeks 4 through 18 every single Sunday morning from my email directly to yours, all you have to do is sign up using code Andrew today. Make that first time deposit minimum of $10 and make a first time play minimum of $1 within a real cash play. Once you’ve accomplished those steps, you’ll be eligible to get on that email list. So, go ahead and check out the map to the right side of the screen to determine your eligibility based on your current location. And new users who sign up today using code Andrew get a free $10, and of course, a deposit to match. Thank you very much for all the support. All right, let’s get into our number two running back. A player that I mentioned last week, also rostered in a very high percentage of leaks, 60% on sleeper, 48% on Yahoo, is Bashalt Tutin. Even though this most recent week he did score a touchdown, he did go down in terms of his overall snap counts, which isn’t great. But when we take into account that the Jacksonville Jaguars are giving their running backs from weeks one through three, 23.7 attempts per game and 4.3 targets per game, that’s 28 opportunities per game on average to their running backs. If we’re going to be looking in the direction of a long-term investment for the running back position, a player who could be this year’s Bucky Irving. Behalt Tutin is that answer alongside of Travis ETN within this Jacksonville Jaguars offense that is heavily relied upon their running backs to find success in order for their offense to find success considering the lackluster performances of Trevor Lawrence. But again, a long-term investment to say the least. Now, if you’re looking for a little bit more of a short-term investment, someone who can immediately play for you in the short term and of course deliver solid performances, we have Olly Gordon. a player that we mentioned many of times this off seasonason and will continue to harp on the potential of his upside considering the expansion of his usage in this most recent Thursday night game. Nine carries, 38 and a touchdown, 9.8 fantasy points. And again, as this offense has kind of progressed, they’ve looked in the direction of Ali Gordon to kind of fill into that Raheem most role from the 2023 campaign. And if we’re going to be in a situation in which Ali’s Gordon can be the knuckles to achic, this could be an offense that has a one-two punch that could be very serviceable for fantasy purposes. Now, when we look at the potential of Ali Gordon, again, we know that he is very much so game of script dependent. They require that they are in a neutral or positive game script in order to consistently run the ball. Luckily for the Miami Dolphins, they have an advantageous schedule ahead in which they can win four of the next five games if they truly found themselves playing well. They take on the Jets, Panthers, Chargers, Browns, and Atlanta Falcons. Now, they could lose every single one of those games, but they’re going to be competitive, and I think Olli Gordon, without a doubt in my mind, in the short term, is going to be valuable throughout that stretch of time. The next running back I wanted to mention is Chris Rodriguez Jr., a player that in the first two weeks of the season thus far was a healthy scratch. He was not implicated to play. He did not even dress. It was Austin Eckler, JCM, and Jeremy McNichols. But since Austin Eckler went down with his season ending injury, of course, we speculated that JCM would be taking over the ma, you know, the vast majority of touches within this backfield. But come Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders in the first two drives of the game, Chris Rodriguez gets all the touches and all the snaps out of this backfield. A very unfortunate sight to see for those of us who has, you know, Bill Crosky merits. Now, despite this being the case, of course, Chris Rodriguez 11 carries for 39 yards this most recent game against the Las Vegas Raiders, while Jeremy McNichols had four carries for 78 and a touchdown. JCM, eight carries, 26 and a touchdown. This looks like a complete backfield committee and this is something that I’m trying to get away from as much as I possibly can. But if another injury takes place within this backfield, I mean, Chris Rodriguez Jr. who looked like the primary number one starter early in that game, could have himself an expanded role within the Commander offense. On number five is Brillin Allen. Again, as of right now, rostered in 37% of leagues on sleeper, 28% on ESPN. there’s a possibility in which he gets himself an expanded role within this offense. Very similar to Ali Gordon, I think Brilan Allen, even though he is a cuff to the primary number one, Bree Hall, he has himself opportunities here and there in positive game script. The upcoming schedule for the New York Jets is quite favorable for the run game. And if in fact they could put together some, you know, pretty good games here and have some neutral, if not positive game scripts, taking on the Miami Dolphins, the Denver Broncos, the Dallas Cowboys, the Carolina Panthers, the Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and New England Patriots. These are all matchups that are not only winnable, but of course could present value to Brillin Allen in the short term for those of you who are in desperate need of running back depth. The final player I wanted to mention at the running back position is Woody Marks. Again, he played 30 snaps in comparison to Nick Chub’s 33. They both ran well in that game. Of course, the rest of their offense could not find any semblance of success, but as long as he’s continuing to get an expansion within this offense. Darren Gumbo is not as implicated. Woody Mars is not only going to be a receiving back, but of course could even take over the ground game from Nick Chub in due time. Depending on when we may see, if in fact we do see Joe Mixon return, Woody Marks could in fact take over this backfield as a rookie running back that of course has himself a lot of receiving upside and potential as he of course found himself finding a lot of success within that category in his days at college. All right, let’s move on to the wide receiver position beginning with our number one Aikio Manor who has found himself scoring a touchdown for another consecutive game. So, of course, he’s our number one, a player that is, as of right now, the number two wide receiver amongst all on the Titans offense in terms of total snaps and total targets, only behind Calvin Ridley. And as long as this offense is going to continue to be in negative game scripts, down many of points, taking on the Houston Texans this week could be a neutral script. But as of right now, as long as he continues to see the red zone opportunity share, the snaps that he has, the targets he has, he’s become one of the favorite options of Cam Ward, the young rookie quarterback. And as long as that is the case, I am anticipating for Aikio Manor to continue to be fantasy relevant. The next wide receiver I wanted to mention is Darn Mooney, who’s coming off of a game in which he had 10 targets in three quarters with Michael Penn. He is clearing away the number two receiving option of this offense. Just like Zack Robinson, the OC pretty much demonstrated to us last year. But now that we’re slowly but surely getting Darnamoney back into the mix coming off of his shoulder injury, there is more expansion within his overall usage. The upcoming schedule for the Atlanta Falcons is very favorable for the receiving options. Whether it be London, Mooney, or Pitts, as they’re taking on Washington, Buffalo, San Francisco, Miami, New England, and Indianapolis. Four of those games guarantee shootouts, if not all six of them could in fact be shootouts, if in fact the Falcons wake up and don’t get shut out like they were this most recent week against the Carolina Panthers. The next player I wanted to mention is Luther Burton, the former second round pick of the 2025 NFL draft of the Chicago Bears. In this most recent week after, of course, a beatd down by the Detroit Lions, the head coach Ben Johnson specifically came out and said that he wants to get a lot more utilization out of Coloulston Loveland and Luther Burton. And immediately early in that game, Coloulston Love prior to his injury was getting himself workload. And so did Luther Burton. There were a lot of designed plays to get him opportunities. whether it was a screen pass or whether it was a flee flicker for a receiving touchdown, he was given opportunities on design plays and looked like the Jameson Williams theoretically of this Ben Johnson offense. So, if he’s going to be utilized in an expanded role going forward, I understand amongst all wide receivers in the Bears offense, he had the fourth most snaps played, but that number is only going to potentially increase in due time and so will his target opportunity as we progress for the remainder of the season. Number four is Christian Kirk. Speaking of target opportunity progressing, in his first game as a Houston Texan, eight targets, a 24% target rate, which again is eight targets on 33 routes ran, which is great. Whenever you’re playing the second most snaps amongst all wide receivers in this offense, you’re getting yourself nearly a 25% target rate. These are all positive signs that in the future, once that rapport continues to build with CJ Shout within this offense has an opportunity of taking on the Titans this week, there is an opportunity for Christian Kirk to be fantasy relevant this week. Number five is Trey Tucker. Look, this is the way that I see this Trey Tucker performance. I understand that he was the number one wide receiver in week three with nine targets, eight catches, 145, and three touchdowns, but I think this is a fluke performance. Again, the two weeks prior to this performance, he had himself a struggle to get three receptions in each of those games. Therefore, if we’re going to expect him to be in this kind of top tier conversation and getting himself a high volume of targets in comparison to Jacobe Meyers and Brock Bowers, we’re fooling ourselves. We got to remember that Trey Tucker did this exact thing week three of the 2024 season. Last season, week three, nine targets, seven catches, 96, and a touchdown. Scored 19.1 fantasy points. For the remainder of the season after that, sure, a couple blips of outlier performances of a five catch, seven catch game. But majority of the games from that point forward were two to three receptions, which is exactly what we’re going to see for the remainder of the season. But if you want to go ahead and take a potential shot at it, he’s available in vast majority of leagues. One of the final players I want to mention within the top six is Taekquin Thornton. Look, as of right now, he continues to consistently play a high volume of snaps, played the most amongst all wide receivers of this Chiefs offense in week three. And even if Xavier Worthy is going to come back, I think Taekwon Thornton has built out a role within this offense. And even after Rashi Rice comes back, I do not believe that Taekwon Thornton is going to immediately disappear as I think he is going to continue to work himself in the direction of overtaking the overall workload of what Hollywood Brown has presented over the course of his tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, the final three wide receivers I wanted to mention are Tory Horton, rookie wide receiver of the Seattle Seahawks, who’s coming off of two consecutive games of scoring a touchdown within the red zone. They are designing plays to get him opportunities, which is incredible. Obviously, it’s difficult to find yourself more opportunity within an offense that runs a lot of 12 personnel. But not only that, has Cooper Cup and JSN vying for majority of the opportunities. So, it is difficult. But another name to look for in a deeper league. Parker Washington again has himself 11 targets in this most recent game because of Travis Hunter’s lack of opportunity share. BTJ being a non-factor. And as of thus far, Brettton Strange leading the team in terms of total receptions and receiving yards. Parker Washington with Diami Brown’s injury that took place had himself an expanded role which could continue. Jaylen Coker for another consecutive week. I am mentioning him. You should pick him up. Legette has been phased out of this offense. Of course, Hunter Renfro is a short-term option. Jaylen Coker is going to be the slot receiving option of this offense. We saw a lot of success from not only Hunter Refro thus far this season, but Adam Thielen last year within this Dave Canalis offense. Jaylen Coker should be filling in for that once he is back from injury. All right, let’s continue on. But before I do, a quick reminder. For those of you guys who want to ask me any and all fantasy football related questions, be sure to check out Patreon. Within the 2025 fantasy football champion tier, not only can you ask me trade questions, waiverwire questions, starter sick questions, any and all fantasy football related questions, but you’ll also get Discord community server access to the exclusive Patreon only server. Not only that, you’ll get rankings posted on the Patreon for all positions, half PPR, full PPR, every Thursday and Sunday. So, be sure to check that out. Link down in the description. Thank you very much for all the support. All right, let’s continue on with the Titan conversation. Beginning with our number one, Hunter Henry. If he is still available in your league, do yourself a favor, pick him up. I understand that in fantasy football there are es and flows. And in one week, you’ll have 1.3 fantasy points from Hunter Henry. In the next, he will have 11 targets, eight catches, 90 yards, and two touchdowns for 25 fantasy points. That is just what happens. But again, he is going to continue to be utilized in a top 16 capacity. He will continue to be ranked within those overall episodes of mine over the course of the weeks. he has an opportunity to take advantage of an advantageous matchup taking on the Carolina Panthers. So, why not pick him up and potentially fire him up for those of you who are in need of the tight end position. Now, like I mentioned just moments ago when I was talking about Parker Washington, Brenton Strange as of thus far this season is the number one receiving target of this offense. He has the most receptions and receiving yards amongst all Jacksonville Jaguars receivers thus far. Coming off a week of seven targets, six catches, 61, I am hoping that this expansion of opportunity share and of course effectiveness is only going to continue to make him a solid option not only for Trevor Lawrence but for the tight end position for weeks to come. Very similar to Brenton Strange, we have Chigimo Conquo, who is also the number one receiver of his offense in terms of receptions and receiving yards thus far this season. and hopefully fingers crossed that he can continue this streak of success coming off of a game of 66 yards on five catches and six targets and 9.1 fantasy points. Great production despite the fact that he was not able to score a touchdown. Hopefully again they can be consistent. But the other tight ends I wanted to mention for five and six are Isaiah likely, Andre Gatson, and Mason Taylor. Isaiah likely should be picked up prior to tonight’s game between the Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions as next week Isaiah likely should be expected to return and if in fact he does he plays against the Chiefs. You know this time last year against the Chiefs week one 21.6 fantasy points could end up having himself a game. Andre Gatson played just as much as Tyler Conklin in week three in terms of overall snaps and routes run was identical but had seven targets for five receptions and 46 yards. could expand his role within this offense as a premier receiving threat amongst all the other threats of course that Justin Herbert continues to dial the ball in the direction of. The final player of course is Mason Taylor. It only took Tyrod Taylor to take over the starting quarterback role for him to be utilized as the number two option of this offense and hopefully of course that’ll wake up Justin Fields in future weeks to look in the direction of Mason Taylor who should clear and away be the number two option behind Garrett Wilson. All right, let’s continue on by talking about kickers and defenses. To close out today’s episode, we have Spencer Shrader, Joey Sly, and Eddie Pinero. Again, two of these three players I mentioned last week. Spencer Shrader still somehow available in a vast majority of leagues, 35% rostered on sleeper. Again, his last three performances 16, 18, and 10 fantasy points despite the fact that he even missed a field goal in his most recent game. Joey Sly, his most three recent games, 15, 17, and nine. and he missed two field goals in this most recent game and still almost had double- digit fantasy points. Eddie Pinero over the course of the last couple weeks with M. Jones eight and 12 points. Once Brock Pury returns, George KD, Jawan Jennings, and this offense is healthy. Expect for even more points to go in his direction as of course this offense got rid of Jake Moody after that week one performance which again Jake Moody last them a lot of games over the course of the last couple years. Let’s talk about defenses. The Texans take on the Titans. Again, if they’re available in your league, pick them up. The Titans have allowed 16, 9, and 15 fantasy points to opposing defenses in the last three weeks. The Detroit Lions take on the Cleveland Browns. The Cleveland Browns have allowed seven, 16, and eight fantasy points, two opposing defenses thus far this season. You may be able to pick up the Lions right now, prior to weeks, you know, for waiverwire and prior to, you know, tonight’s game in order to, you know, prepare for the upcoming week. And then we have the San Francisco 49ers who not only have an advantageous matchup taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars who somehow someway continue to turn over the ball, but their upcoming schedule is quite favorable. So if you’re looking forward to multiple weeks, the 49ers could be the answer in this circumstance. But we also could look to other defenses that are not very much so rostered in very many leagues. 9% for the Chargers, 20% for the Patriots, and 3% for the Jets. As the Chargers take on the Giants, the Patriots take on the Panthers, and the Jets take on the Miami Dolphins. all advantageous matchups that if in fact you are in need of a streaming defense, you can pick them up and play them going into this week. All right, that’s going to cover it in regards to my waiverwire pickups for week four of the 2025 fantasy football season. I want to close out today’s video by putting together a couple plays via better right now in regards to tonight’s game between the Detroit Lions and of course Baltimore Ravens. Do not forget after tonight’s game, I’ll be live streaming here on the channel. If you have any questions, be sure to swing on by. Let’s check out these plays right now. All right. So, when we travel on over to better, I want to make this short and sweet and simple. When we’re expecting this game to be a shootout, I like Lamar Jackson more than 1.5 passing touchdowns. And I will potentially pair that up with Jared Goff doing the exact same thing. If we have two offenses that are incredibly highowered and this game is sitting at a 52 and a half point total, the expectation is that of course both these quarterbacks should be implicated for success. I will take both of them scoring two passing touchdowns. As of right now, it’s a 2x on the site. again 20 for 40. So besides this play that I’m going to make, I’d also like to potentially look in the direction of the number one receiving options of both of these offenses finding success in the form of receptions. I like the idea of Alman Raw getting more than 4.5 receptions. I like the idea A Flowers also getting himself a high volume receptions, more than 3.5 going into tonight’s game. again with the expectation of a high-scoring game. I think there’s a possibility that you can put in a play for Leaporta, Montgomery, Gibbs, Andrews, Henry, everybody scoring a touchdown. That’s the kind of game this potentially could be. Again, go ahead, be sure to check out better. Use code Andrew today to get a free $10. Of course, get that first time deposit match. Get that first time, you know, play that which you can get an advantage. Again, they have these mystery multipliers. They have a lot of things available. So, if you guys are interested in making these plays and if you don’t have anybody on your fantasy team playing tonight, of course, you can always root for a Jir Gibbs to find success even though he may not be on your fantasy team by going ahead and putting together a play with him. But as of right now, these are the plays that like going into tonight’s game. I’ll be back later tonight, of course, after the game talking all things fantasy. Waverwire. And until next time, guys, I’ll see you guys. Peace. [Music]
