I hate that I have to root for Patrick Cantlay. What a nightmare.

  2. Andrew_Dice_Que

Absolutely ready to get up at 4am to watch this.

  3. 432ww432

ludvig and hovland split up is interesting. also using fitz in foursomes with no success previously seems surprising

  4. B_Cutler

    2.5-1.5 to Europe for me

Wins for Rahm-Hatton, Scotty-Henley, Fleetwood Mac, then a half in the last game

  5. IsleofManc

Do the captains know which twosome their twosome is going up against beforehand? Or do they just pick teams and put them in the slots on their side?

  6. EcstaticRhubarb

Had the decency to put Cantlay out last, so not to hold everyone else up.

  7. bondguy4lyfe

Rory + Tommy is a scary pairing. Going to be tough to beat that duo.

  8. I don’t think this looks good for us Americans last two us groups have a lot of questions to answer

  9. Bryson cutting the corner with JT hyping up the crowd… 4-0 USA

Not a big fan of English/Morikawa pairing. Feels like Burns made more sense, but my guess is Keegan wants to save Burns for fourball since he has one of the highest birdie percentages. Let’s hope Justin has his shoot 60 stuff and not his shoot 80 stuff.

  11. I really can’t comprehend the pairings. The three most in form guys outside of Scottie are sitting (Spaun, Griffin, and Young). JT and Bryson pairing stinks once you get off the first tee. Xander has been MIA for months.

Lol, Europe almost verbatim put the datagolf recommended foursomes pairings except datagolf recommends Aberg/Mac and Hovland/Fitz. https://datagolf.com/ryder-cup/insights. USA did not, but their pairings mostly fit with what datagolf recommends, which is to have a long driver basher tee off on the odds and a shorter straighter/short game player on the evens. I think Spaun and Griffin should have been in this session but we will see! I’m thinking 2-2

I get that they’re rookies but USA sitting on Griffin, Spaun and Young, who are all on fire atm, is crazy. The pressure on them isn’t going to be less if Europe takes the morning session, especially if they do so by a wide margin like Rome. On the flip side, the Euro parings are pretty spot on for form. Ole, ole, ole, ole!

Not enough Cam Young, he was built for this course.

  15. Jdudley13

Holy shit that first match is going to be electric. I love that the Europeans threw fire out against fire, those 2 will give it right back to the crowd

  16. Aggravating-Bee-1970

This could be a solid 2 point split easy.US has a solid chance to win the first two but the last two will probably go to Europe

  17. PlanoRaider91

Bryson first to fire up the crowd. Love it. Great choice by Keegan

  18. Ironcondorzoo

The only way to do this right is to make them all sleep in their car overnight, get their tee time at 5am, and stumble out there half awake with a cup of coffee and a small prayer that the shits don’t hit on the second tee

  19. NoArm7707

MacIntyre and Cantlay in the same group, wow

  20. HeftyVeterinarian277

Morikawa/English is an interesting pairing. Neither guy a bomber. Feels like Young would have paired better with Collin.

  21. Lets_Reset_This_

Not having Cam Young hit the opening tee shot is a bummer

  22. No_Albatross916

    Bryson in foursomes is interesting

I don’t mind Bryson going out first though him and JT will get the crowd going

  23. callme2x4dinner

Why is Team USA always shit in foursomes? It’s so annoying

  24. keithprivette

Span and Young against Rory and Fleetwood would’ve been better

  25. cosgrove10

Putting Bryson off first was such a predictable move. But holy shit will that crowd be hype as fuck for it if he takes the green on.
