What’s going on, lads and lasses? Welcome back to 100% Mag. So, we head into the game tomorrow night, 7:45 kickoff at St. James’s Park as we go up against, of course, the Banttom Menace. It’s been a while since we’ve played these guys. We haven’t played these guys since 20201 season. And of course on both occasions on that uh we come away as winners in both of them games. Uh of course one in the league, one in the League Cup. Um a 2-1 win in the league and a 43 win in the League Cup. Literally non 25 years ago. um of course since we’ve last played Bradford City uh in a game of competitive football and looking at it uh they’re going to have 4,900 fans traveling up for this game. So now on 5,000 fans will be traveling up to watch this game from the Bradford City uh contingent. And looking at uh team news going into it uh to make it this far into the competition uh so far Bradford City under Graeme Alexander their manager uh of course have made the headlines with two excellent OEA victories over Championship opposition uh with a 2-1 win at Blackburn Rovers and 3 win against Stoke City. They arrive of course on tin side in superb form fresh off a 3-1 league win against Cardiff City that sent them top of League One over taking Cardiff in that position. Confidence will be skyhigh for the Bantams uh coming into this and it looks like you know they’ll be well up for this game. Uh looking at the team news for us Newcast fans going into the game. Uh we are of course uh looking it very great as well. We’ve got a brilliant record in the League Cup. Uh we haven’t lost a League Cup game. Fingers crossed. Uh, of course since way back uh when we played for Sheffield United uh in the League Cup which is literally the 1516 season, so about a decade since we have last uh lost a League Cup game at St. James’s Park. That is an absolutely amazing feat. Hopefully we can continue that. I think we will. Um, and looking at it, of course, that proves it even more when you look at what we did last season in the League Cup going on to win it. Uh, on the way to winning it, we took on at St. James’s Park, Arsenal, which would be 2-0. Bradford, uh, Brenford, sorry, uh, which would be 3-1, Chelsea, which would be 2-0, and Wimbledon, which would be 1 nil. And then the season uh, before that in the 23-24 season, it was a 1-0il win against City. uh in the 22 23 season uh which seen us beat Southampton 2-1, Leicester 2-0, Bournemouth of course 1 nil, and Palace we beat on penalties after nil nil draw in the 90 minutes. So that’s an intimidating list uh that you know any visiting uh side will be seeing when they’re looking at how we perform at St. James’s Park in this club. And I’m sure uh Graeme Alexander will be looking at that uh from the Bradford City side and he’ll be thinking it’s going to be a tough game. Um of course we’ll just have to be careful with these as well because these guys are uh formidable when it comes to cup upsets. So hopefully uh we overcome that and see ourselves make it through to the next round of the League Cup which of course will be straight after uh this draw of according to the news that I’ve got on that. Um, and looking at our team news going into the game, a timely boost because we do have Anthony Gordon available again after suspension. Uh, and however, we do have key names remained sidelined for this one as well with Jacob Ramsey and Johan Wisa both not coming back until after the October international break. And of course, there will be no Fabian Shaw for this one as he continues his concussion protocol of course. Uh so it will be changes in rotation in squad once again by Eddie how but we’ve still got really good quality there. We’ve got know Joel Linton, we’ve got Bruno, we’ve got Sandy, we’ve got Bots, you know, we’ve got Mali Chow in there as well. I’d expect to maybe see uh Aaron Ramdale goal instead of Nikki Pope for this one. uh just to give you know Ramsdale a run out uh because he hasn’t had one yet and I think you know we’ve got the depth there still even with them players out to be able to go into this game and do it and go through to the next round of the cup. It’s going to be a tough one because ties like this usually are uh when you don’t really know much about a team um especially since we haven’t played them since 20201 season. So it’s like Nion like I said 25 years ago uh since we last played these guys and a lot obviously has changed the manager has changed since then. The team has obviously changed since then. Uh so you know there’s a lot uh to look at Eddiehow and the lads have been well and truly um trained on what’s going on uh with this match. of course he will want to do the best and he’ll want to you know protect uh players obviously h but he’ll want to also go in he’ll want to do well in this cup because we are the defending champions of the League Cup. So this is going to be you know chance to prove that we can defend the cup. Hopefully we can make it all the way to Wembley once again and hopefully we can win it once again as well. The official for this game is Thomas Kirk. He takes charge of Newcastle for the first time involving of course us after making his Championship debut last season. So, it’s like I say, it’s going to be one of them games where we’ve just got to be really careful. Obviously, we’ve got the uh recent form and we’ve got the B cup form in our favor and the fact that we made St. James’s an absolute fortress for literal decade. Um, but these kind of games can be very dodgy. So, we do have to be careful with it. And I think we will have enough depth there. I think we will be able to come away from this game with a win. And I’m going to go h Newcastle to come away 2n wins against Bradford uh city post on the Wednesday night tomorrow night 7:45 kickoff at St. James Park. Till next time, remember to hit that like, share, subscribe to the

  1. 🏆CUP NIGHT AT ST JAMES’ – CAN WE KEEP THE STREAK ALIVE? ⚫⚪
it’s Bradford under the lights as we begin our defence of the Carabao Cup.
Will Eddie’s lads make it ten years unbeaten in 90 minutes at home in this competition?

  2. For the millionth time in recent weeks, you should never bet on Bradford City to score no goals.
My prediction – Newcastle United 1-3 Bradford City.

    We play 3 CB's, 2 WB's, 2CM's, 2 AM's, and 1 ST every match.
We have at least 2 full teams where practically anyone could start.

We have our 2 of our 3 main CB's out, our main backup CB out, a 5th or 6th choice CB out, our 3rd choice LB out, possibly our main backup CM out for concussion protocols, and maybe our only winger who plays as a bullying striker who can't score out for a tonsil operation.

Therefore the main question is, who will fill the 2 remaining CB positions?
Our main LWB, our backup RWB, or at least 1 of our 3 remaining CB's?

Either way I'm not worried about anyone starting, as at least 25 players in this squad of 30 are very good or excellent.
