The range at Bethpage Black was a good place to be on Wednesday morning as both U.S. and European players were out honing their swings ahead of going out to the course for more team practice.
And a 9-year-old fan perched behind Sam Burns received a memory of a lifetime.
After Burns warmed up with his 9-iron, he took his glove off, motioned over to the young fan saying, “Hey, kid… you want me 9-iron?” In the heartwarming video, the fan is stunned as Burns throws his club over to him, the fan’s dad catching it and handing it to his son.
Just another reason why there’s nothing quite like the Ryder Cup.
