There’s still absolutely reason to go out and battle tonight and see if Corbin can at least stave off elimination for another day. Sounds good, dave. Let’s look at our season numbers for Patrick Gorin. He’s seven and 10 on the year. 4, 33 100 and 24 Ks to 47 base on balls. It’s Ryan Jeffers and it’s great to see ryan Jeffers back hasn’t played since September 4th. He’s been on the concussion. I trying to make it a 123 1st innings, a bouncer left side of the infield long throw for Durant, but he’s got a great arm and they retired. Jeffers here comes Matthew on the mound for the 16th time. This season. Slider and cutter have been very good for him, I guess right handed hitters. No score going to the bottom of the first J Peterson first up, hit that ball a ton deep out to right field. No chance for a, that is long gone. Pter ninth home run of the season and he gets the scoring started tonight. Rangers have a one nothing lead boy. The Rangers have not been taking early leads lately, so it’s great to see the first batter of the game go deep. 100 and nine mile an hour exit vilo. Let’s keep the party rolling. And jake Berger in the midst of a one for seven stretch will be the hitter. He struck him out with a slider allows a home run to Peterson but retires the next three, top two twins down 1 to 0. Luke Khaw , that’s high and there’s ball four nice job by Keesha fell behind 0 to 2. Comes back and works a walk. They have Keyw leaning Berger throwing his second close play and he’s out for now. He’s out number two as Corbin to Beger on to second and Keyw is out but the twins will challenge safe in the foot. It’s a little contact there. Both guys, I got a hand on the bag, he’s safe. There you go. Kids outside corner when you’re stealing bases further away from home plate. Fielder’s got to reach to make that tag after the review. The call in the is overturned. The runner is safe. Minnesota will retain their Khaw picks up his 14th stolen base. The twins as a team now 23 stolen bases over the last 15 games dropped by Higashioka and Keysha will take third. That will be a pass infielder in and there’s a swing and a miss strikes out for the second out of the inning, fly ball center field playable for Lankford and it completes the second inning the twins get a man to third but leave him there one, nothing rangers with the lead here and it will be 89 and one in the batting order due up for the twins, cody Clemens and a base hit to right for cody. He’ll take a wide turn and try for two Garcia’s throw is not going to be in time. So cody Clemens with his second extra base hit off a lefty all season and he was thinking two from the start and a leadoff hustle double from Cody Clemens to begin the twins and lines a base hit to center Clemens will be held on the throw from Langford is cut off near the mound. So Vasquez singles and the twins have two on with nobody out trailing by one as Buxton is coming up as Buxton on the ground to third, they’ll get second for one, the return throw no chance. So Clemens scores RB I for Buxton number 77 as Vasquez is out and it’s a 1 to 1 game in the hole off the glove of a diving Durant. Buxton’s going round second base and make third is that ball kept on rolling on the turf that will be a base hit for austin Martín and Buxton. He’s not content with second base advances an additional 90 ft and the twins have runners at the corners line to right field. A base hit Buxton will score Martín will round and hold and the throw comes in garcia has a cannon. It’s the right call there from tommy Watkins. So an RB I single the other way for Ryan Jeffers. Box scores his 93rd run to give the twins the lead 2 to 1. The twins lead as we go to the fourth inning, Carson mccusker Brooks Lee and Cody Clemons will do the swinging delivers a into the bat be by Beger. He’s going to flip to the pitcher and drops the ball. All right. This is gonna sound like an excuse for us lefties, but this is a very tough play for lefties because our glove on the right hand makes it tougher Then when your glove is on the left hand. So he does a great job of getting over and covering, but the ball is kind of behind him. It never gets to his glove. So Berger, you have to feed a lefty way out in front and he threw that one behind him. So Corbin’s never even got to the base. So the twins are currently playing with the bonus out afforded them by the error on Corbin. The twins. Now with men in scoring position are two for eight on the night and there’s a four pitch walk to Vasquez that will get buck to the plate this ball on the ground shortstop and Durant, a nice play goes to second that ends the inning 2 to 1 new second baseman is going to be Cody Clements who started the game at first base, first baseman is going to be Julian Kishel out of the game. This one lined up the middle, that’s a base hit for young young lined out to short his first time. This time he gets that line drive right over the second base bag. Here’s Cody Freeman. He grounded to short his first time up young at first, not running check swing, he went around on it and that is strike three back to back, strikeout 2 to 1. The twins lead as Ebbie Matthews goes back to the mound for the bottom of the fifth inning. This is interesting. Here is Langford out of the game and Michael Helman pinch hitting for him, do you think this was just scheduled from the start of the game? And obviously they’re not going to tell us this or do you think that something happened line out softly to Eddie julian and Matthews, by the way, he is pitching. Well, he has gone through five. All right here we are in the sixth inning. It’s still a 2 to 1 ball game twins up by a run a minute at 1st and 2nd here with nobody out for Cody Clement flipped in the air, left center field that’s going to drop in a base hit out is going to third and try to score the throw in from Osuna is not in time. Cody Clemens picks up his second hit off a lefty tonight drives in his 52nd run and the twins have a 31 lead. Look out and Vasquez got hit so he looks to be ok, not a sinker that ran in, but Vasquez thumbs up, still see him wincing. So the bases are loaded. Nobody out top of the order now and Byron Buxton and he strikes out Buxton with the bases loaded , gets his first out and a huge one at that. All right, the infield now more at double play depth as Martín stands in high chopper in the hole. They’ll go to third and out there as a run scores. Durant almost threw that one away. Young saved him and got the out on the play. Lee scores and the twins now lead it 4 to 1. All right. Here we go to the bottom half of the sixth inning Rangers who had an early one to nothing lead now trail 4 to 1. Alejandro Osuna going up against Matthews here lunging catch made by cody Clemens. Outstanding effort there from Cody a rocket to his left and Clemens with a brilliant catch 4 to 1. The twins lead into the bottom of the eighth and left hander cody Thunder bet out of Dallas Baptist is on the pitch. 28 year old South Bargo 64, 230 pounds. The top of the order. Peterson has been called back and switch hitting Jonah. He hit his, he struck him out 94 on the shot to short and right at Brooks Lee two down and here is Moore batting for Osuna who went one for three with a single. He struck him out looking at 94 3 up, three down, two more punch outs from Cody Thunder. We go to the ninth 4 to 1. The twins lead as we go to the bottom of the ninth inning and Cole Sands takes over on the mound 28 year old right hander and there are two outs and Josh Young is the last hope for the Rangers to left shallow should do it. Austin Martín will grab it and this one is over. Disappointing evening here tonight, the Rangers have been officially mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

  1. If it weren't the Tigers epic meltdown, currently, the Rangers would be getting all the attention of their current meltdown of losing EIGHT straight in route to officially being eliminated from playoff contention for the second season in a row after winning their first-ever MLB World title in franchise history. Absolutely despicable. There better be major changes with this roster and perhaps starting with the front office this offseason. Disgusting.

  2. Daniel Duarte of the Minnesota Twins was said to be returning to the majors in late September, but what do you think will happen? Will he be able to return safely?

  3. Tough season… injuries got us, bats slowed down, bullpen a bit shaky oh well that's baseball next year fellas!

  4. Clemens!

Funderburk(he looks very comfortable and confident) and Sands!!

    Matthews!!!

  5. Even if the Astros don't make it, at least the Rangers won't either. I can't believe people thought this team was the best in the league.

  6. No Closer (all season) and never a consistent lineup. That's on Boch and CY. Seriously, name the Closer…

  7. I am disgusted on the Rangers performance anymore. They can't hit, can't pitch, only way they score is a lucky homerun. Burger is a strike out king, and Adolis can't hit.
